Long economic explanation
No, no no! That's not how an economy works. Less money means prices are LOWER. During the great depression, prices were REALLY low. Because there was not a lot of money floating around. Now, people are richer, and prices are higher. Money and items are both commodities. When there's more money, people have more money to bid on items, and bid go higher. When there's less money, people have less to spend, and items can't get the higher prices to work, they don't sell. THAT's why taking money out will lower prices.

no cause greedy gaians wont donate to gambino, and will have the items and they will decide how much they will sell it for, and will wait as long as it takes to get the privce they want.

remember the golden rule.....

he who has the most gold, makes the rules. wink

In which case the rich made that rule.

You can't sell any items to POOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO GOLD TO BUY THEM WITH. The prices aren't decided by the sellers, they're determined by the buyers. If nobody wants to spend 50k on a chain wallet, then none will sell, and someone will try it for 40k. If that sells, the other sellers will take a hint. You have it backwards, friend.
i donated ^^ 2500 gold

you have never heard of Games Workshop have you?

they get poor people involved in their game that can barely afford to pay rent, and then jack the prices up.

its kinda like drugs....you get addicted and will pay anything to get your fix. and the SELLER sets the price. wink

*shakes head* But that's not the way it WORKS. People can't buy things with gold they don't have. If they can't buy things, people selling items will get desperate, and they'll lower prices to sell more items, getting some gold rather than nothing. If you try to dispute that logic, you're a fool. Gaia's economy functions on the same basic rules as ANY token economy, and there's no getting around that particular part of it, basic supply and demand. There is NO economy that does not fall under supply and demand. End of discussion.

Your analogy does not apply to virtual money. Drugs are addictive, items do not cause withdrawl symptoms if you can't have them. Your body does not grow to NEED these items. You cannot compare the two. It sounds stupid and doesn't work.

You can't apply the drug reference to other things, either. Take a look at the great depression in the US back in the 20s-30s. There were rich people, but they couldn't charge whatever they wanted for things-- people didn't have the money for it in most cases. They have to charge amounts that people are able and willing to pay.
And pretend for a second that it does happen. Prices skyrocket. Then what?

Then even more money disappears from the Gaiaconomy. Why, because people aren't buying 8,000g enchanted trunks. They're buying store items. This would result in even less gold in the hands on Gaians, which means... venders can't unload a single thing! Which means they either wear those 32 pairs of Devil Horns, or they sell them for cheap.

Ok i just figured out that there is deffinetly not going to be another bar after this because the gradient(the colours in the bar) in the second bar goes from orange to yellow and its a really bright yellow and since it seems to be getting bighter then there cant be anything else after the second bar

you dont know much about the kind of people that sit on internet forums all day long do you.

many people get so wrapped up into their games/RPing they cant tell the difference. so they will end up with withdrawls from them. if not there would be no reason for the support group for ex-EverQuest players.

It goes from dark red to a bright yellow

Borobdin Well...you don't have to donate to him.

It's cooler than Gambino arbitrarily having a lot of gold again and building and new mansion/skyscraper thing.

This was taken from the QnA forum and I think Boro has a point. It wouldn't be a very good story if Gambino could just make gold appear out of nowhere .so that's where the donating comes in smile

Yes, and it can easily go from a bright yellow to a basic green. ^^;
