I was excited when the male punk headband was unisexed, because I wanted to try it on my female accounts. Then I realized that they were placed higher on the female so it didn't partially cover the eyes, which instantly killed that buzz for me.
All I really remember was frustration with male and colored gloves / socks / stockings. It's mostly unisex now, but during my AT days of '06 - '07, things were not so great on that front for males.

I was a little miffed that unisexing is taking so long. Really since they aren't getting paid for it, it's more of a kind side project, so I'm not going to complain, even if I am frustrated at the abundance of items that still need to be unisexed D;

There certainly have been a number of times I've wanted something masculine. I go through ultra-femme and altra-male avatars in phases, and I can recall wanting boots or gloves that were male only.

This. It is taking a very long time, but so are a lot of things that need updating and don't earn them cash. All the time is going in to cash items and modernizing the look of the site, rather than it's content. Old mini-games, towns, homes, unisexing, fish drops that have no items yet......

In any case, the unisexing project is still going on as others have said. It just takes more time and work than people like to think about. Those items all need to be redrawn for a new base in a variety of poses (sitting, standing, walking, not to mention arm poses for items that need it). But yeah. We'll get everything eventually.

They did make the punk headbands unisex'd though. That was the biggy for me. They're continuing as well which is extremely cool. Meriko and the rest don't have to but they do anyways~.

I don't mind much about little items I can't wear, I'm just upset that there are so
many shoes that make the male base's feet point in different directions, and only
one or two that I know that make them look like female feet. I can counter the
hands looking manly, but the feet are what gives my avatar's gender away to
people.
