I'm going with they're related. They seem to share the same sir name and so forth. 'Sides there seems to be a lot more potential for comedy if they're siblings rather than love interests imo.

i think gaia tan was one of those items you might win if you participated in those gaia games/contests they have (e.g. 'who has the largest bag?' / 'who has the best cosplay?' etc.).
