There is a cosplay arena here in Gaia. Placing in it will at least net you 50k gold if you land in the top 10, top prize is 150k if i recall correctly.

Yes I was a cosplayer in real life before but having a family changes a lot of things for me. My body changed, my priorities changed. At least here, no one can discriminate me if I cosplay someone of the opposite sex and not be labeled a homo.

That's not really a lot of gold when you consider the amount of gold a lot of the items used cost, but I guess there's a kind of prestige for winning. I guess it must also be nice to have a sphere where you can still take part in cosplay without the stress of real life problems that come with the territory.

I only do it because I'm in a guild that does theme dress ups on certain days of the weeks.

Otherwise I'd pretty much never do it. biggrin
