About the red tips: I don't know about hair dye, but I'd take your word for it... Except think of it this way: Marie Von Helson is flipping rich. She'd probably get a professional job with the most permanent ink possible, so she wouldn't have to be bothered to re-do it.

if there was a duplicate, the search and rescue would find the body no problem. so you have one living Marie (or whatever her name is), and one effectively mangled one.....hmmmmm.........gotta wonder......
