I admit, I have a small fear of buying an item that was somehow gained illegally, just as I get a cautious feeling when people donate to me (I fear the gold might have been gotten illegally.) But it's usually not that bad and I brush my fear aside.

The most that's ever happened between me and the Marketplace is when I buy something for what I believe is a good price...and the next day someone sells for a k or so less. Sure, it's just a few k but... I'm stingy. gonk

As long as you keep a sharp eye out, you should be fine.

I remeber back in Dec. of 2004: I was in a thread in Charity that was giving away 3 NM Scarfs. One had been sent out, and two others remained to be given. Through many pages of posting, we found that the PROC was the same on all three Scarfs - showing that they had been doubled. The report was taken care of by a Mod and the Scarf that was already sent out was allowed to remain with the donatee.

So it's not law that you get banned for recieving a doubled item neutral
