Its very easy to look/be rich on the site now. Thanks to the Cash Shop. As long as you have 10 bucks to spend you can have one wealthy looking avatar in a day.

For me it took many years before I got a semi-rich look. This is due to the fact I just posedt for gold so I earned my gold slowly... (And I consider do not consider myself rich in any sense.) .

that depends on what you call wealthy. The most gold i have ever had is about 400k at one time. most of the expensive items i have, I got them when they were inexpensive.

Well, in my first week I was moderately well-off. I had around 80K.
To get most of my wealth it took me a couple of months. I'm still
not all that wealthy, though.

I had some very good friends. 8D Since it was during the event
and all. I essentially went into a thread for the whole of the
Rejected Olympics, got involved in the contests they had for
cheap MCs, some people were kind enough to help me out with
a couple of thousand here and there, and the items I bought
myself inflated pretty quickly.

I got moderately wealthy when I opened a breedables shop. Then I think my gold just jumped when they started released the EIs and RIGs. I don't consider myself rich though, as I'm using IRL cash for that stuff. It seems kind of like cheating.

I wouldn't bother with the lottery. Back when it started it was a nice way
to get an extra 3K if you got lucky. But ever since they introduced the
"power picks" where it essentially gave out the gold to people who paid
money, it's nearly impossible to get in. I don't think anybody bothers with
it any more.

You know Booty Grab? Go Booty Grabbing in All Watermeat threads and you can easily get 10k a day. More if you time. *I've gotten about 30k's worth before. RIGs killed it all though. ID* It just takes time and several tanks but it is worth it! :']
