This thread is a community-centered compilation of some of the most useful guides, FAQs, directories, and how-to threads on Gaia. This thread also houses links to some of the larger community movements, initiatives, and groups in the GCD. Hopefully, the information here will help you have access to what you need to know, not just in the GCD, but in the larger Gaian forum community. Another thing this thread will strive to do is remain current with the community. This thread cannot operate without input and information from the users of the forums. If you have a thread that should be on this list, submit it by sending a PM to TriskDaemon. If you are the owner of a thread on the list, and you have information for an update, or would like your thread removed, that link may also be used for those purposes. "Note" The presence of a thread on this list does not mean it is the official thread on a given topic, nor does it mean that threads on the same topic are in any way discouraged or prohibited. To find information here, simply do a global find by hitting Control and F, then typing in the thread name or the information topic you're looking for. On a Macintosh, the equivalent command is Command (Apple key) and F. Alternatively, you may look at the table of contents below, showing a general layout of the link list.

The rules for submission and acceptance of threads is pretty simple. I (TriskDaemon) am the contact for this, all those submission links go to my personal inbox. This could, understandably, be problematic. I will try to process and respond to as many messages as I can during the course of the day, but don't expect immediate results. When I can, I will update. Please, make sure submissions have links to the THREAD, not a page in the thread, and make sure that all threads submitted are clean, informative, well-maintained, and otherwise good material. There are a few more specific rules:
Threads for a community movement or initiative must be at least 50 pages long, and must have been in existence for at least three weeks. Fanthreads should be well-established and have at least 100 pages for consideration. If, however, no similar thread exists, consideration will be given to threads with fewer pages.
