Would you run a shop? Lord no, Thil would be a vagrant NPC kinda like Kanoko was, but less useful.
Would you appear in the manga? Most definitely. Not even as a main character though. Just a confused looking background character trying to figure out what's going on.
Would you be a part of an event? Not a vital part, but she'd show up in threads asking people what the hell is going on.
A love triangle? what's the name for a shape with 800 faces? One of those love-shapes. emotion_dowant

A love triangle? He would have an unrequited crush on Moira, but he would kinda know that he doesn't really have a chance.
A horrible villain? Definitely not. He can be a bit biased against vampires and cats, but despite his fearsome appearance is otherwise a total sweetheart.
Any arch-nemesis/rival? Louie, for the obvious reasons.

(not that i'll ever be an [NPC], but, you know, dreams, right? ;> ) i feel like i'd end up being a frustrating npc that sent you off on some scavenger hunt for components to make a potion you needed for some completely separate task oops~

I play a lot of RPGs and quests like that are actually pretty fun for me.
A similar example would be from Borderlands 2
The local doctor makes you go hunting creatures for parts. There's like 3 different quests for that total and most people just forget about it.
But if you turn them all in.. he then gives you a quest:
"You remember all them parts I sent you for? Well they're uh.. loose. Imma need you to go hunt them down for me and.. be discreet about it"
So he had ended up making chimera sort of things with the parts and you had to go get rid of them so no one found out. Was pretty funny.

Sorry for the ramble.. yeah I'd love an event like that emotion_awesome
