Hello, GCD, long time no post. How have you been? I've been pretty okay. I've been questing the Wendy Doll for a while, only to watch it go from 6million to 9million in one week. Its been one of those things I quiet sob about when on Gaia.

Then the new Sainte Ciel came out(happy ending, yay~), and it has some very pretty eyes! And at first when I looked at them I rejoiced because I thought "omg, this could be the perfect replacement to the Wendy! I don't need 9million golds for prettiful eyes!". Alas, as I sat and compared and compared, I still like the Wendy eyes better. The SC:S eyes are gorgeous, but they just don't have the same feel. I am disappoint.

Usually I just end up buying the item I want when I want it, regardless of the price, which is kinda bad now that I think about it...

I know a lot of folks were really happy when the heavenly drapes came out, because it gave a kind-of different option to the way an angelic sash layers.

I buy what I like.
Some times a remake items comes out that I like better than the original (Wed to Darkness vs. D-Tail). So in those cases I jump at the cheaper and nicer version. However if I really do enjoy the original item more I will still try to get it, or at least lust over it from afar. I'm looking at you Angel Pendant! So many cheap knock offs have came along but still I don't like any of them as much as the original.

I have been stuck at 3million for a while and was getting close to 4million when it was 6million, but now that its 9million, I'm even less inclined to work for the quest. Its pretty terrible and makes me want to cry great big tears.

Wendy's eyes are prettier, because they have a black eyeliner kind of look. But I Love the shade of blue from Storge much better

I LOVE finding cheaper replacements. * U * But like DC, I kind just save up for the original item I like & spend the extra gold. emotion_facepalm

Though, sometimes I'll like the cheaper item, so it all evens out.

I have to say I've been fortunate enough to lust after items that haven't been in such high demand. No need for substituting parts here.
But I can sympathize. going after an sdplus doll can be very very tough--they inflate and deflate inconsistently in my experience. Good luck!

Yeah! That's the thing! Items are inflating so quickly that it's really hard to get the item after everyone else realizes that it's awesome! Which means I usually carry a ton of pure on my mule account just to fund these little, "That item looks good. I should grab it now before it spikes in price!"

Which is pretty much the only reason I have nice expensive things. Because I bought them when they were kinda cheap/nobody knew they were awesome. crying

Oh well, I can't really afford to buy it because of my quest, but man I want the SC:S.

I am constantly pining for goldshop versions of basic s**t that comes out in RIGs. Constantly. Would putting some syringes in Jock Strap ******** kill you, Gaia?

But lucky me, most of the big expensive items I like are pretty unique, so knockoffs don't really happen, exactly. stare So I just have to resign myself to probably never having either the actual item OR a knockoff.

I force myself to one outfit at a time and sell everything which isn't used. There's something about not using an item, and just having it lay around, which drives me nuts -- perhaps my disgustingly organized closet is another example of pure O.C.D.

I have the opposite problem. I must have it, if I've used it in an outfit, its mine forever. If I could use it once ever, at any point, for any OC/avatar/outfit. Its mine forever.

If I would just sell my Ancient Katana, I'd be one step closer. 1.6million closer.
