why Gaia sucks that much nowadays?

-Lotery and their overpriced two numbers we are being able to buy, way to go Gaia, that's the kind of marketing you needed to stuff your pockets with tons of money!
-Crappy stuff being given by the Overseer now (aquarium)
-Way too overpriced latest items in the Cash Shop! you can't even buy nice items with 150 Gaia Cash now, their prices went up to 500+ Gaia Cash!
-Heck, the "Dernier Cri" shop is another example why Gaia sucks now, 1 million + items? what happened???


i guess Gaia is only for rich peoples now, because if they don't change their way of doing things, i bet they're going to lose a lot of peoples, leaving for a different kind of community.

At least for me, i just come on to grab the freebies and leave afterward, it's not ever worth doing Booty Grabs anymore since all the good items are like 400-500k+ gold, it's crazy how the Gaia economy sucks!

Meh, I don't use/have any of those stuff, and I'm doing just fine. Those are just optional luxuries.

Dernier*Cri exists to remove that inflation you're referring to. Once there's less gold in the system, it's easier to reach items because they'll be cheaper. As more people are able to afford them, they'll get more expensive, again, however.

Dernier*Cri is a shop for just the rich. It's something Gaia members have requested for a long time. If it was CHEAP, then it wouldn't be what we asked for, would it?

How is BootyGrab not worth it, however? I know people who make 50k a day. With that, you'd only need to play it for 10 days to afford something really expensive.

There's also PLENTY of beautiful items in the shops, and items that are still cheap. My avatar right now isn't worth very much compared to the items at Dernier*Cri. Even being able to afford some of the bigger items, I still appreciate the look of commons, with a few accessories from EIs.

Wow. None of what you listed affects everyday life on Gaia. It is all optional. They haven't destroyed the forums or anything. : And hello >1k per booty grab, goodbye not having aquariums at all and having to earn gold the hard way.

They have a reason for the Dernier Cri shop. It's for a gold sink. The reason why there is the Lottery? Another gold sink ( in a way ), They changed stuff in the Overseer because people used it as a gold domain. They made the Cash Shop so they can run the site.

If there wasn't Cash or the Cashshop, Gaia would be shut down. Of course there is MCs, but they needed another source

Where have you been? The overseer has always given out lousy stuff. Sure, better stuff used to be slightly more frequent, but there was plenty of garbage being thrown around then too.

While that is true, this is an avatar based website. Forums are everywhere, but here we have avatars along with the forums.

I don't need expensive clothing, nice clothing, or even CLEAN clothing. I could save money in society if I used less personal hygiene. I'd smell, but I would still live. It's not essential to life.

Does that mean people should be expected to walk around in their own filth? No, it's ridiculous to expect someone to have to do that when many of us enjoy the luxury of taking baths or showers.

While Gaia's inflation "crisis" isn't as severe as not being able to take showers, I don't think people should be expected to have to walk around in mediocre commons because they can't get a leg up on the competition.

But I would say there are still plenty of chances to earn gold with booty grab active, and theat the shop actually has some very nice item still.

I live in Mexico, so no Gaia Cash for me, I b***h about it ocasionally, but really, there's nothing that I can do about it.

And as much as I hate Dernier Cri's shop, I have to admit it's for the best for Gaia's economy.

Go try another avatar site for a week until your bored because you don't have those above mentioned things.

That's what I did. I got bored real fast.. Yes, the site was new and had innovative features that I wish Gaia would implement but.. This site has so much stuff on it.

Different ways to make gold, different ways to get items, different ways to have fun while on the site.

& I'm not one of those "Leave Gaia then" people. Negative feedback is good when it's justified.. It just seems like your mad because you are not "rich" but dude.. that's the whole point of the site is to get gold and the worst feeling on this site is to be rich and want NOTHING. gonk Just start booty grabbin' all day or visit charity threads to hangout.

p.s- Gaia has some of the best pixeled items I've ever seen. Even it's sister site seems to make their pixels seem so.. yuck.
