Um I always thought it was justly named. I think you are interpreting the name of the item incorrectly.
The Executioner is not a spade himself/herself. He/she is the executioner (killer) of the spade cards.
Thus he/she is a club.
Spades beat clubs. Thus the name is even more illogical. I think that you are grasping at straws. They ******** up, it's as simple as that.
Well you and I have no idea what the artist was thinking when he/she made the item, so we are both grasping at straws.
An item that is "of spades" should logically be Of Spades. My point is perfectly sound. Yours is not.
However when preceded by "Executioner" or a title that is synonymous with destroying or killing, then it is equally logical that it could be interpreted as the "Killer" of spade cards.
If one is given the title of the Killer of Women (as an example), that does not necessarily mean that the killer is representing women.
We can speculate all day long, however that is all we are doing. Speculating.
No one is right and no one is wrong when dealing with speculation.
