In all seriousness, I just love the variety in frame and flow they offer. And I've never been a fan of the default legs anyway.

I like seeing leg mods on female avis. Mostly because a lot of them can use skirts to cover up the odder parts up top. Males however....many just look weird. I like a few of them but I find that the crotch just looks waaaaaay off on most male avis. I think they sit way to high in proportion to the torso. So leg mods on me....I say no thanks to 90% of them ^-^;

I hate ninety percent (or more) of the mods we have, they look awkward, out of place most of the time and just down right ugly.
I suppose I wouldn't mind them as much if most of them didn't give the avatar tiny a** legs or feet.

I LOVE leg mods when they were done correctly. When the four parts of the leg show; leg, ankle, foot and toes. But i hate it when the artists don't put in the ankle or the toes, if those aren't there legs look stumpy and just bad.

I'm not a huge fan of them. I find them hard to work with because they give you a set pant/sock/shoe color.

I feel that they throw off balance. I don't understand why leg mods have such skinny legs. The only leg mod that I somewhat like is on the Lucie item, because the legs aren't little sticks.

[[I don't love them per sé, but i'm open to trying some that don't look like your avatar's fat is focused on the top half of the body and you have sticks for legs. The one i'm wearing i never paid attention to until i decided to actually look at this REI's poses. It looks rather nice if you're going for a theme, and it doesn't look unnatural.
The original legs get boring after a while, and a lot of shoes look way too fat for me to like them. Leg mods allow a nice shoe with a less-bulky leg look. I'm not a huge fan of most of the female ones, but i would love more male ones that aren't overly opening their legs.]]

To me, it seems like 90% of the time leg mods look terrible on avatars.
Usually the feet are too tiny and make the whole avi look like a bobblehead. Unbalanced and weird.
(Or they're not positioned right for the way our avatars are facing. Pink Dragoness, I'm looking at you... emotion_donotwant )

But I've seen some really amazing avatars using leg-mods and making them work, so it's not all bad

I only like them because they're a challenge for me to make them look at least semi-decent.
Most of the time I don't use 'em though.

I do enjoy mods of sorts.
They're ... fun or something. :u
And female feet look odd.

Whilst they open opportunities in terms of shape and posing, they do close other opportunities in aspects of layering and generally colour.

People use what they like because of their tastes and how they feel something looks on their avatar.
I'm not big on leg mods, but I do enjoy some.

The same question could be asked about arm mods.
Some look horrid, others look great.

To each their own.
