Now, I only have the on-the-ground pose <_<

Chrono: Equip it. it should have a choice of which of the two poses you want, a seed or a sprout.

In order to carry it, just change the pose of your character. It's not a choice on the item.

I have 5 of the first gen >.< So happy to have moved onto the 6000 gold items now. The starter ones from the overseer are kinda lame. I'm probably going to sell most of my titan seeds in the end because the evolution doesn't look too interesting.
