So, AI. We know it. We do it (sometimes). And we hate it.

Now, I know there are hundreds of threads about AI, but this one has an interesting twist.

I was browsing for decent backgrounds to make my winter avatar (you like so far?) and I figured, "Oh, hey. The Dreamer's Dust will work perfectly!" So, I moved on over to the MP and typed in "Dreamer's Dust." And guess what? 280k.

Right...

Being the clever bee that I am, I check to see the price of the October Thank You letter for 2k8. 67k.

So, is it me, or did those AIers not think this one through?

You could really profit off of that one. I personally like to try the opposite of an AI. I like to deflate items. I sell large amounts for cheap so it looks like it's the average price and I watch as those suckers follow. I'm still expirementing but it seems to be working. I havn't spent any real gold on it since there's no profit to it.

I guess they never thought that people would actually look up the letter the items came in... either that or they didn't have enough people who had the letter itself.

The letters themselves have increased sharply in a few days. Christmas inflation and AI on both sides, I suspect. Poorly executed though because they should've bought the letters. The item isn't that good, that's ridiculous and I don't think the steep inflation will last if the items don't sell.
