Considering how how small Gaia's population was in 2k5, and that many of them probably no longer play Gaia today, the fact it still has third or so place with 11.1% should speak volumes to how popular it was.

I still have my grombie skin underneath all this makeup. I hold it very dear and am very proud of it, despite the fact I don't always let it show. The fact you can just buy the skins for the events now-a-days makes the event seem like a waste of time. Who cares, just buy it later and spare yourself the trouble. You don't even have to log in and pick a side, if you don't want too.

Just make it playable..........didn't even participate in the Fluff event cause it never worked for me.

It didn't work for me either said I had to have a house, and than it never let me have one, and so I was so disappointed I couldn't do it. I simply bought my favorite plush from the market place. (Loved the little wyvern one)

Exact same thing with me, I got frustrated with it and just said the heck with it.
Hopefully they have learned their lesson from that.

Halloween 2k8 will always have a special place in my heart because it was my very first Halloween event on Gaia. However, as time goes on, it has retained that place due to the fact that it was the most fun to play. The worldwide, everyone-for-themself feel of it was very enjoyable, and it was fantastically easy to participate if you aren't really into posting on the forums or don't have much time to devote to it (like I do now, thanks to a lovely thing called college). While I understand that the forum posting requirements are a way to encourage players to interact with each other and bring the community together, it has actually discouraged me from playing, as I dislike having posting and interaction forced on me, rather than having it occur spontaneously. Finally, it was also enjoyable due to the way it tied in with the storyline-as the plot wrapped itself up, it set up the plot for another expansion of the Gaia world and mythos, which is one of the reasons why I have stuck around so long.
