As I mentioned during the creation of this thread, this hub is not permanent.
Since this is a brand new feature, it will more than likely get updates through-
out the year and so on. This thread is merely for the launch of the feature. As
of now I will no longer be updating this thread with new releases and/or info. I
have more pressing matters online and offline to tend to, plus I never intended
for this thread to become the main hub for this new feature. Thus "launch hub".
Feel free to create your own hub / compilation thread in the GCD or the Gaia
Guides and Resources forum. Again, I will no longer be updating this thread ~

Well good morning everyone! We have a brand new feature that just went live!
Looks like we have a new Alchemy-like feature. However instead of combining
items, we will be combining/collecting various charms that hopefully can be won
outside of the Cash Shop. This is a brand new feature, so not a lot is currently
known, but I will be adding the basic bits of information as they become public
knowledge. Below I will be listing the first set of items available from the feature.

Looks like we also have a brand new Kickstarter to tie in with the new feature!!!
This kickstarter has a ton of charms and bundles as lower tier Personal rewards
and global charm rewards! Definitely a way to "kick start" this new feature! -snort-

Then there's a 10 Pack of the regular. Really hoping there's a free way to get these charms, otherwise it's not gonna be very popular.

Discussion points added, so I'll put my answers for them.

- Will you be participating in this brand new feature?
I don't have a disposable income, so no. Plus, it's pretty obvious that fusing these items is, thus far, vastly more expensive than straight up buying from the CS. Those Ascending Wings? After crunching the numbers, those are apx. 4667 GC based on the cheapest option for obtaining charms (the 10 Pack, as it's cheaper than 10 singles). That's about...$46. And that's just the Minimum, IF you get lucky with the charms. Yeah...not worth it.
EDIT: I forgot the 10 pack =30 charms, not 3 *facepalm*...rectifying mah numbers.

- Are you excited for a different way to obtain items?
I was, it sounded interesting. But unless there's a free way to snag these charms, it'll never be worth the effort...even if a Scythe shows up in there. Which right now, I fear the day one pops up in there...

- How about those backgrounds? Finally RIG backgrounds.
They're pretty cool. I liked that battlefield one.

I'm upset tbh. Just another thing I can't participate in b/c I don't have money to spend on Gaia. Seriously, they're not even trying to hide their greed anymore, it's ridiculous. The lower tier items are freebie worthy at best, and why didn't they just stick a few of them in a new item bundle?? I only want Scorchwood, Princess Golden Fan, and MAYBE Sleepytime. Regardless, I'm not looking forward to all the announcements we'll be getting about this.. nor the prices of the items themselves.

Decided to try it, and I feel kinda icky now. But, here's what I got from two ten packs:

44 heart charms
1 diamond charm
15 star charms

I dunno what I should make.

They should have made it so that you could find charms randomly around the site, with the ability to pay cash to buy more if you don't want to wait to collect them, instead of making it a pure cash shop thing.

That being said, considering their track record, I wouldn't be surprised if they abandon this in all of a month or two anyway.
