I think that BATTLE is causing a lot of trouble for GAIA HQ because every resource is being directed to BATTLE like the art team, which could explain why there's no Plot or comics, Devs are coding BATTLE, thus leading to little to no events and if we do get an event is a tiny one.

So maybe once BATTLE launches things will settle down at GHQ.

We can't just blame everything on Battle.

Notice we haven't mentioned it before now? It's because the things that foobarbazquux said were related to how Gaia has changed and how they need to listen to the community. That's an internal problem. Sure, we'll get our events back, but that won't fix much.

I know BATTLE is not the sole reason for GAIA's decline, but I do think that it is playing a MAJOR role. At least that's what I think.

One thing is very clear: Lots of new staffers are coming in swallowing the line that Gaia is all about teenagers, and they're not teens, so why the ******** should they understand what's going on? It's not for them. It's just a product. WHICH IS THE ABSOLUTELY MOST WRONG IDEA THEY COULD HAVE!

its there if you look for it, if you all want it as bad as you say you do

some charge an arm and a leg for art if they can
people do downright desperate things even to get people to join there guilds

to help build what it is today and yes that even includes corporate bigwigs

Unfortunately, that day could be coming sooner than you think. We already have a sponsor shop, what's to stop sponsors being put on the map? Theoretically they already should have been.

uhh mtv is a great sponsor
popular music and internet culture were made to be partners

im not one of those people who hates it because it talks about popular music and w/e

ive always found it to be a rather entertaining medium and enjoyed it for what it is
just like i do with gaia.

and thats where my problem would lie

i enjoy the fantastical parts of gaia the magic and make believe
but a healthy dose of reality and fun things like realistic clothes and concepts im sorry

its what alot of this site needs

Gaia definitely has serious problems if one of their employees quit over the fact that Gaia has changed. We users need to make them realize that this is a serious problem.

I've been denying it up until now, but I can't deny her journal entry and neither can Gaia. They need to realize that they can still be the same site they used to be and still make a profit.

I love Gaia.

Even if Gaia would turn into a corporate, only-care-about-money greedy site like Neopets, I'd still love it.

There's still too many fun things here. And up till now I have yet to find a site that can even come near its awesomeness.

Heck, I even support our sponsors, because I know it helps Gaia run. You want MTV to bugger off? Well, I say let them stay. You can ignore the shop easily.

You hate the Cash Shop? Well, you don't have to buy anything.

Everything on Gaia will give you the choice, and that's what I love about it. Most sites force you to start paying for fun stuff. Gaia is still very, very free.

Once in a while me and Cid agree on something. This is one of those times. Gaia is in its own personal dark-ages right now. I mean, sure, some of the happenings over the last few weeks reminded me of old gaia, but I doubt that this will last. We need to band together as a community. This is dusk of our Darkest Day.
