And that's fine, if that's what the devs want to do. But to rip away a project someone has been working on for months and months, proclaim it done, and give them a new baby to work on, whether they want that baby or not, is the wrong way to do things.

You've obviously never worked in software development. I'm pretty sure it's called having a bad, unrealistic manager with no understanding of how software development works.
Now I know what happens to all the stupid business majors in college. They go on to become highly successful CEOs and drive companies into the ground, because they couldn't give two bits less about what the company does or stands for. They just squeeze it until it runs dry, then hop to another one, then mark their previous companies as "experience."
