Animated avatars? Dang, that's gonna be a pain in the a** for the graphic designers, since each shoe, shirt, jacket, etc. needs to be all drawn. How will the developers pull it off??

Apparently its their biggest focus of any project right now. I wouldn't be surprised if they pull in spriters to help animate from other sites. I've heard that Gaia admins are pretty tight with the folks running Ragnarok, so there's a good chance some of them would come in and sprite on the side.

I don't know the answer to this per se, but I can imagine they will be equippable. People have been clamoring for weapons for so long that the admins would be fools to deny them the ability to equip them normally and show them off.

Also, the admins confirmed at Fanime that the Pitchfork, Staff, and a few other items (like the baseball bat) would be active weapons in the battle system, so it seems completely logical that all other items would be equippable on avatars.

Hm, tattoo and piercing? Tehehe. I can just imagine gaian avatars with piercings sticking out of everywhere. I think make-up would be a hot idea. Bright pink lips, white cheeks, and green eyeshadow, yeah mon.

Nice. It takes a while to program that layering on the clothes, too. And there are still glitches on some of them. So I bet new items that they're gonna come up with are gonna take a lot longer to make. Wow, Gaia's becoming so complicated now, isn't it?
