Gods I haven't done any rp-ing in years.

I grew out of RPing and I think I didn't RP for about a year. Or at least 6 months.
Now I'm RPing again. And writing again. Except it's all about Q's character... Which makes it idiotic. xP

As for my name, yeah it's becoming quite a hassle.
WindPowa, when he made the Gaiarch toolbar, made a text macro so if you typed [q] it would automatically make a quote tag, and by default this is on. neutral (If you have Gaiarch, btw, you can disable this by going to gaia macro editor, [q], uncheck enabled, and hit the two okay buttons. Or just delete the macro entirely.)

Then, earlier this year, Gaia did something in the database that ignored brackets. So I couldn't log in with my username, and my profile redirected to Q's (Yes, a gaia user by the name of Q, just the letter, exists).
The only way to get in was by having my password emailed to me and reactivating my account. Every time.

Then I asked Jakobo about this and he said I could log in with my user number instead of my name, which worked until the problem was fixed. He also said that some mods have brackets in their names too, which assures that bracket problems get fixed (If there were no mods with brackets in their names, I am 98% sure nobody would've cared to fix bracket-based problems, since we're a minority on gaia and these symbols no longer are valid when signing up for gaia).

Then GIM came out.
No brackets are allowed, so I had to make a new username. Of at least for letters. goooo gaia. :/
It was easy for me, but I shudder for other people with names with illegal characters in them. And chatting with people who have names other than their gaia screenname can become confusing. Especially in guild chats.

Yeah, bracket problems... Another reason I should probably quit Gaia.
Speaking of, I should reserve the name I want in case brackets ever do get ******** up beyond all recognition...

I used to use Gaia to practice my art by doing cheap commissions. I've really slowed down on those though (so lazzyyyy) and now lurk the forums a lot more frequently. Also, there's zOMG now.

I'm still obsessed with new items though.

I used to come here for making dream avis (as in, I would have Gaia open in one window and Gavsim in the other and would go through the shop pages and marketplace while tinkering).

Now, I do still come on for the avatars, but these days the first thing I go to is GCD, and I usually post a few times, see if there's any new leaks or "scandals"... I come on here for the forums and people now 3nodding

Yeah. I used to come primarily for RP; however, it is so exceedingly difficult to find truly articulate, capable, competent RPers who share at least a few of the same fandoms that I do that I've pretty much let that drop. These days, it's become all about vending. I don't know what I'll do when I've earned enough gold to buy every item I've ever wanted. Fortunately, that's still a couple years away, considering I have DJs and angelic minis on my yet-to-earn list.

I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
