Not a lot of people send me free art unless I post a lot more than I normally do.
So it makes sense that whenever I get a new sig I'm all "TIME TO POST A LOT IN THE GCD SO PEOPLE CAN SEE MY SIG."

I wonder if other people do that...
I know they definitely would if they got a new post style...

I joined for roleplaying, but well....I quickly found out that the roleplayers here have the collective IQ of cooked fish, soooo.... yeah. That didn't last very long. (I know there's smart ones, but I'm just talking in general.)

I joined Gaia for the forums and the avatars, and although I now love vending in the MP and playing pinball and zomg, I still find myself spending most of my Gaia time in the forums xD

i'm not sure. XD <3 in a way, its the same reasons. in a way, not. like, i came for a really long time to make profiles because thats what i enjoyed doing. <3 and i just finished my first profile in like 7 months [GO SEE! XD] and so that was my primary reason for jumping back in this week.

i also used to come because i was a little bit of a bigshot in the gcd. >W< needless to say, when i stopped coming, obviously no one knows who i am now. but i ADORED this place and contributed to the gcd so much for about two years. now, i just come and post every once in awhile in here. n___n. its just different when i dont recognize anyone. o 3o.

I don't know, I'm kind of glad they don't take art that seriously.... It's like drama. You either can act or you can't. And if you end up as an actor, a lot of the jobs are thankless and suck. Like artists. Hell, doing art of even PEOPLE, let alone what you actually WANT to draw, is probably a less chance than you becoming a famous actor.
Most artists wind up doing something stupid like stickers or newspaper ad clip art things...

But anyway, we should really PM eachother more because so far whenever we're in a thread together we just derail it talking.

When I said post styles, I meant post images. Which definately need another name than flob, because flob is the most worthless idea for a name ever.

For instance, say I got some new epic art that was of my avatar that was not the same post style that I've been using for almost a year now. I'd post a ******** more than normal so I could show off my new avatar art in my posts. And I'm sure others would do that as well.

As for quotes, it's because of the brackets in my name apparently. I hope it's temporary because the brackets did not used to break quotes like this. :/

I originally joined Gaia to roleplay. Stopped RPing in Barton Town, ran my own roleplaying guild for two years. Grew out of roleplaying, tried other stuff. It's devolved into just talking to friends and art whoring.

I kind of stopped caring about my profile for a while though and recently I started coding again (Probably because I have more art to work with lol). But I've left the PD forum.

I joined because a friend told me to, then when I stopped being friends with her, I stayed to art whore while at world. Once I got bored of posting mindlessly for art, I just made avatars and joined in on events with my friend. Once she stopped coming on gaia, I just logged on once a week for the evolving items, and I started nowadays I just come online to lurk, to read the GCD and comment on select few topics.

I agree some of them have gotten quite bitchy but the in-crowd isn't why I really left. There are always ways to climb the social ladder. You just have to come up with some sort of plan or be really.. Uh. Interesting. I'm sure there are people in that in-crowd of PDers who aren't as super-codey as the rest of them.

The reason I left was just because it turned into the Q&A forum. And my home forum was C&T, which is the Q&A forum for computer problems. I had been there for a few years and I am just really tired of helping people now. PD used to have discussions too.
And was friendly.

Now it's just a huge sea of rate my profile, need help with this, etc., etc...
