Demonbusters Cash Shop items, should they have been free?

Now, I'm checking out the new Demonbusters items in the Cash Shop, and some of the poses, if not the entire set of items should have been free in my eyes.

Take a look at what we have received from the event.

1 Team Robe (Boo and Sin)
1 Badge ( Boo and Sin )
A shield, a mace, a spear and a back ground.

Let me know if I'm missing any of them.
Now, I'm not saying that I don't appreciate them, I really honestly do. But I think that the amount of time that went into making these could have been made less apparent if they had released the new Cash items for free in the event.

My examples.

My Little Overseer: Pose where your head is replaced by Clam.
Seriously, I think I would have rather seen this been rewarded than the shield. It at least TIES into the event. The shield? Well, I do assume it could be the one on the back of the Overseer character, but I digress, I still like the shield.
Her Infernal Majesty: Cape Pose.
I would have much rather seen this been rewarded than the back ground.
The background was a shoddy way to give out an item and not make the team rewards even. BOO gets the spear and the shield, one for each hand, makes sense. A mace and a background? Gah, when have I ever used a background.

I'm not going to say anything about how you only get the Autumn wings if you buy the bundle, because I'm going to be flat out honest and say I like that idea, and it is nice to see another pair of wings.

Meh, maybe I'm just silly. Let me know what you think.

I think that they gave us the event items/weapons to signify that we're a part of our respective armies and can have outfits fashioned as such while also having the leaders separated by their different clothing. We can't be lead by anyone if we all look alike after all. wink
As for releasing the cash items, that's more for the fandom side of things, letting Gaians dress up as their glorious leaders, and that's apparently worth actual money.

I feel that the items are pretty quickly made.
I'm going out on a limb but I think the background, my least favorite item, ended up having the most time and effort put into it.
Then the mace, shield, spear, then everything else.

I'm also glad you agree that SIN got ripped.
I'm going to say that every time (like the Christmas events before the ZURG invasion(even though the items in the ZURG event were great too)) where there were no sides, had a lot more time and effort put into them.

I agree a bit actually. I would like to see Cash shop quality items being given away for events. I really like the robes but the shields were just lame, especially for how much work we put in to get them. =(

It would be nice to get something SUPER SPIFFY for free on Gaia. Yeah, it wouldn't be super rare or anything, but it would still be nice.

I was fairly certain that the Overseer and Sweet Cheeks items weren't going to be handed out in the event (either not all or in the cash shop) when we got our first look at the Teaser page.

I know what you mean, but I also don't think they should be free. Those are some pretty sweet graphics.

I'm just a little dissapointed that Gaia's using the Cash Shop for about everything now.

I don't really like the robes, but I don't hate them. It would also be great to get something Super Spiffy like the Cash Shop items.

This isn't a charity, you aren't entitled to ANYTHING! Facts are, you're damn lucky to have what they do give you, instead of, yanno, making this site "Monthly Membership only" or fully P2P. Really, is it that hard to just accept that, comparatively speaking, this is one of the most generous businesses out there? Not like you're being forced to buy anything.
