Welcome to Gaia! ::

Maybe... but probably the difference of the donation needed for each donation item will be small, there are many people who can't donate very much because the Gaia housing got the most of their money before the event started

<center>Personally I think that all this donateing business is a way for the admins, etc. to reduce the amount of gold in circulation. Thus giving Gaia's economy a chance to grow slower and bring the insane prices of some items down.

Use it, don't use it... just don't flame me for having an unorginal though. stare

I've contemplated that one as well. It makes sense to get some of the money out of the economy. There's such a huge gap between those with gold and those without gold on here. Gambino's trying to stir it up! Even it out! biggrin
That really is an interesting theory. Best one I've heard so far.

Maybe... just maybe... We're being tested. What if the purpose of donating was to see how much they could actually get out of us. That way they would somehow be able to guage how much you could win on new games? Maybe they really are opening the casino, and the amount donated in this Gambino drive somehow directly correlates with how much you can win in the casino. Maybe they're trying to see if we're willing to donate to this blind cause, then they'll be willing to up the prizes and stakes when the casino opens.

Just a theory. Discuss.

(sorry if this has been posted already as an idea... but I haven't read anything yet like it)
I doubt this kind of testing would be needed for any ganbling system.. Casinos and Lotteries have been around long enough for numbers on them to be readily available. If you have a casino setup correctly, the odds are always in the house's favor. Plus more people would be wiling to blow gold in a casino knowing theres a possible payout rather than a blind donation with no reward assured.
I donated 10g.
I think he's gonna push his luck as far as he can. I wonder if the admins even expected it would go on this far. I think he's just gonna screw us over again. And after all the support we gave him at Christmas Time.. crying

I'd donate if he's making something to kill the Von Helsons

Ah.... Good ol' inflation.... But you have a good "point". It might be possible that inflation even effects GAIA. If it does, we're in trouble later on. ^_^
