I would love love love to have the black cat item, i enjoy the way it is drawn. However, I just cannot afford the amount of goes it would take to have even a slight chance at winning it (so to speak). As such, I shall just have to not try.

I do think though, that if for a change they made it a decent chance, more people would try to win and would buy more RIGs.

I think it would be the opposite. People were opening RIGs like crazy to have a chance of getting their hands on the cat. If the cat was more available, people would just buy them off the MP and not from the RIGs.

But the cat alone does not decide how much an RIG sells. I'm pretty sure the marionette, by itself, will make this RIG a very successful one. There's no need to deprive people of reasonibly priced cats.

Gaia wants the maximum amount of profit so that's why they're doing it. Sure people will buy because of the Marionette but people will buy them even more because of the cat.

Two pages late, I know, but I never said the non-expensive cat HAD to come from an RIG. Maybe an event item, or a monthly collectable. A quest item? zOMG item? I don't care.
So long as we have one cat that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. That's all I want. One cute cat that isn't six digits.

Oh, and I think it's kind of cool that there's an item out there so rare that nobody has even seen it yet. I think that's AWESOME. It really gives a huge goal for some. I mean, listen to people saying they'd make a huge announcement out of it if they got it!

I think that's true for some items, like the angelic halo. I believe most people would be happy to have one, but only because it's rare and can be seen as a status symbol or fetch a high price. Few people would really want it simply for it's looks or usability.

I don't think it's true for an item like this cat, however. Certainly, any one of us would be happy to get one at this point simply because it is so rare, but I think most of the people you see complaining and pining for the item would be happy with the item even if it were a free sponsor giveaway.

Personally, I never care much about it, but now that I've seen that animation, I wouldn't mind having one just to go around Towns with it and watch it run. ^^
