There's no point in that. The piercings would probably only be 2 or 3 pixels big.

i'm not saying that they should have piercings, but you could have it as when you click on your avatar it zooms in.

Yes, I'm hugely for this. Yes, you wouldn't be able to see them perfectly, but it would be apparent who had them and who didn't. And, you would be able to see these if you zoomed in on their profile. Tattoos are something else I think should really go in here.
