I think its a tad arrogant to say that newer members shouldn't have a chance to catch up with older members in just one of the asoects of Gaia. Honestly, are the oldbies that affraid of not being the best at something?

In the end dedicated members will succeed. In a year after its release those who stuck around and gave the most time, and energy will be the highest level, and I think thats how it should be. I doubt I'll sky rocket up the ranks, because I doubt I'll dedicate all my Gaia time to battling, but in a years time I know I'll have decent stats. 3nodding

Now, before the discussion, open your mind. Imagine you are in a wasteland. It is rocky with ravines and plateaus, the skies are dark with thunder. You keep walking, wondering where you are. Suddenly there is a noise. "GOLDZZLOLZZZ! I RULZ!!!112one5twenty!" You run, as fast as you can. You trip over a rock, and see a signpost with the sign on it. You grab it, stand up, and swing it at the n00b. You hit tem, and they run off, whimpering, "Cyber cyber... cyber!" You pant, and wonder where in the world you are. Then you look at the sign. You wipe the dust off, and read it. "Oh my god..." In pink letters, it reads, "Gaia". Do you want that?

You're probably wondering, "What the hell?" I am talking about the battle system. You might have seen that thread in Site Feedback about the cybering in the casino and fishing. You all know about n00bs, and how they think they are immortal. Well, think of the battle system. Hundreds, thousands of threads about how the n00bs can conquer all. We will all be at the same level, and the n00bs will be equal to us. They will gain more experience, maybe even decompile the flash games and cheat. They will finally be able to beat us for good. Once they do, the chats in the battle will be like that in a cybering n00b guild. We will be able to report them, but they will keep coming. The n00bs' mules will level up in single player, then rule the multiplayer realm.

That said, do you really want to complain about the battle system not being here yet?

I personally beleive that Lanzer could be stalling to give himself, the other admins and maybe mods time to somehow get ready. If so, a toast to Lanzer.

What I honestly think needs to happen is that Gaia lets another forum use their code. Different sprites for avatars, different items, no donations and such. don't even acknowledge that the new site is even related.

Then release every piece of bug ridden code they have so far for testing. Noobs will lose interest and flood the "test site" while we remain at peace on the 'slower' but less buggy forum we love.

But I doubt the admins will risk this.

If we can do that I'm sure we can keep them at bay, and if all else fails there will always be our litle safe havens that we can fall back onto, such n00b free guilds and hopefully Towns and battle rooms or servers or whatever.

the "test" site idea would be very nice, we should try it sometime. Or someone can make a stupid forum, and then people can promote it, then get all the n00bs there while the rest of use stay on gaia, same idea, different people.
