Im not sure if this new one is gauged by time or not. If its gauged by time, itll be nearly 4 days or so until it fills up. I actually think this new one is how much money, or how many donations theyre putting in.

I think the 4-day timespan works out well. It would put completion near the weekend, which makes for a nice event time. Means more users can participate.

Ah, the admins plan it out ahead of time. Thought so. But what kind of event would come up? According the the past, events are usually on holidays. So evidently, we can all expect a St. Patricks day event.

Nah, Doppler, I don't believe that the admins would leave it up to us when to hold the event. With the amount of planning they put into it... It's more important that the admins hold the event when everyone can be online for it rather than make our contributions determine the time.

And people are naturally spending much less money on this bar, since its taking so long. Im guessing many of the richer users have spent alot of their money on this so far, and those who wanted items or thought it was impacting the bar are grumbling about it now.

So, any guesses on what the event might be about? And usually when theres an event, in my view, something is gonna be previewed/released. Halloween, we got a taste of the battle system. Christmas, we had a preview to the Gaia Hangouts. Im just wondering what to expect this time. Surely, not the battle system, but maybe more fishing, mini games, or the casino might open.

Well, if I can just speculate, I think that we're going to get a new town. If you think about it, the selection of housing items is rather limited, and Jakobo said in his radio interview that there were going to be many new towns coming soon, so that's my personal theory, as well as something that I'm kinda irrationally hoping for. It doesn't make sense to release another major site feature after housing, but a town is just more space, more items. Not as big of a strain on the coders and programmers and such. And L0cke was talking about a lot of new art for the upcoming event... That means either a Christmas-style plot progression or something else that requires a lot of art, like a TOWN. So, that's my theory.

A new town would be a rather good thing, less strain, glitches, and the like. Along with the new town would come new items, new npcs, and new art. But towns usually focus on something.

Barton, the quiet little suburb.
Gambino, the tropical island paradise.
Durem, the rich, urban city.
Aekea, the backwater industry town.

So, if there was something new, what would it focus on? Fishing? A New system? Perhaps they will make a new town, but have it center on something new later. Im merely speculating, of course.

Seriously though, for gambino, there are maps 12 and 14 ready to be taken up, and since we are moving northward, im assuming theres going to be a Cold themed town, as Trisk said. Saying that, we can expect future towns to be desert themed, maybe forest, and the like.
