"Sounds good to me. Thanks."

She left the man to his work - friendly as she was, she understood that when someone was on security detail, they weren't to be distracted by idle chit-chat. She drifted away from him, and was pleased to see the tray of drinks thrust into her face.

"Ooh, don't mind if I do." She plucked one from the tray without looking to see exactly what it was, thanking the waitress absent-mindedly. She found herself wandering over to a game of cards - it looked to be poker. She took a free seat at a table, ready to join in enthusiastically. She glanced around at the other passtimes available, thinking she might try that funky-looking game with the tiles next.

There were three others here, men who were trying their luck to the game of poker. Both chips and bills were placed out for bidding. The dealer looked over to the woman who joined the table. The players gave her a glance up and down, gauging her physical attracting.

"What's your buy in, miss," he asked.

After a short conversation with the gentleman at the bar Jay had managed to convince him to book her out for a short while, and with the sale made and cash paid in accordance with the clubs regulations she had moved to a small cushioned booth which happened to overlook a poker table. Enjoying the company and rather light hearted conversation that the young man was providing, even though she was the one being paid.

Smiling and laughing on cue as the conversation continued, occasionally brushing her arm against his and always keeping her attention on him, to ensure that she missed nothing. Then as the pre determined time came to a close she leaned over, placing one hand on his knee while smiling warmly.

"I have to ask, since this is a lot of fun, would you like to extend?"

As she finished speaking her hand would be withdrawn while those big brown eyes remained fixed on his rather light grey coloured ones. Jay found it easy to get along with him, simply because he was attractive, and no matter what line of work you were in it made things easier.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Steven paused for a moment after Jay asked him to extend, thinking about how much he was willing to spend on simple company, it was not like he couldn't pick up a woman at the bar without needing to pay.
But she made him smile and after having worked all week, she was a nice distraction from reality and very easy on the eye.

"Ok, let's do it. But we should order some more drinks too, make a night of it eh?"

Yeah he was testing the water, maybe if he kept her around long enough she might decide to spend the night? Who knew, and it was like him to assume she was simply a woman who was of course below him in the scale of things. They all were.
He didn't know who she was outside of this room, and if he could have her for the night he still wouldn't care.

In response to the dealer's question, Cale realized she hadn't stopped to get chips before playing, or even smaller change. She shrugged her shoulders and tossed in a twenty, leaning back in her chair and lounging for the men's benefit.

Men always thought they had the advantage playing cards with a girl, and she wasn't below allowing them to gawk if they wanted. She pulled her mass of bright orange curls back into a ponytail and loosened the white dress shirt she wore. It was warmer in the casino, after all.

"I'm in, let's play!"

She grinned recklessly, happy to be in the midst of things, not even really caring whether she came out of the night having made a profit or not.

Boy, did the guys get haughty at the display. Even the dealer put on a little smirk, though his professionalism took preference to whatever opinions he had on the woman's look. He took the twenty and the cards were finally dealt out. This was the Texas Hold Em' version of poker, so only two facedown cards were dealt to each person. One man was smoking away, while another took a drink from his glass. He had about three empty glasses in front of him, which showed how long he probably has been here. The one closest to her was an asian man, who had on shades currently popped up on his forehead, though he would glance from the corner of his eyes now and again at the cleavage that revealed itself.

Cale had to smirk. The men were acting exactly as she had suspected they would. Well, they could look all they want - if they enjoyed oggling her undersized chest, then they could be her guest. Although really, those long legs of hers were her best asset.

She couldn't help but overhear the murmer of conversation coming from a booth situated near their poker table. She had to chuckle. Some women were just so charming. She wasn't capable of such charm, and she didn't regret it.

"Here's hoping this one's my lucky table, eh? I'm probably a little rusty, so I'm sure I'll need it."

Let them think she was out of practise and out of her league. She didn't have the world's greatest poker face, but she knew how to play a hand close to her chest. She sipped at her drink as they played, watching with a sharp eye as the cards were flipped up and the bets placed.

(sorry to keep you frozen).

Fox set his drink on the table, extending his arm across the hostess's face as he stood up, signaling her to get the ******** away.

"Then, you know why I'm here?"

Fox brought his hands into his coat's pockets, looking at Ko straight into his face. They were about to discuss HoH, quite possibly Fox's last attempt to win it.

"I brought a friend along. He's not here, though... but he's on the team"

If he were to succeed, he'd need his long time friend.

((It's cool.))

A few minutes passed, and already the three men at the table were loosening their ties with a few drinks before them. They were losing money fast to this woman. To think she was a great poker player, too. Her winnings had went from twenty dollars to one thousand, and was climbing if she won this next hand. One of the men kept in.

"Five hundred."

He threw down the bills, waiting to see if the woman was going to call it or fold.

-----------------------------

"A friend."

Yeah, he did say he was going to be bringing a forth member to their team. He hoped he got to meet him before the tournament starts. Till then, they had much to discuss, as he thought.

"Very well. Then our team is complete. We only have a month before the festivities start, so I want to make sure we all get to know one another before the time comes. If we're going to win this, we'll have to make sure we're coordinated. Too many people lose trying to do things by themselves in these fights. I am sure you know this well enough. Let's go sit and talk over there."

Ko turned around, walking toward one of the circular couches near the wall. He sat down into it, relaxing back. Quickly, a waitress made sure to bring a couple of drinks over, while a couple of the guards moved closer to the area as a way of bodyguarding their leader.

And now, of course, she had a choice. A smart woman would back out gracefully with her winnings while she was ahead.

"You play a tough game. I like that."

But Cale wasn't exactly known for making rational decisions. In fact, she was pretty reckless and liked to take risks. She was pretty easy-going and generally tended to be happy as long as her life wasn't on the line.

"Alright, pal, I'll see your five and raise you another three."

She felt pretty confident in her hand, but she'd left herself with enough that she might be able to recover her losses through more gambling if her opponent came out on top. She tossed her ante in and leaned forward excitedly to see what the dealer would turn up.

The river was turned...

And the woman won! Straight!

The man cried into his arms as his three of a kind failed to win him back his five hundred, granting the woman a good chunk of cash. The other two men stood up and walked over to her, deciding to use their charms to at least keep on her good side.

"You play a mean game of poker, miss," said one of the men, who wore tinted shades. "Want to come drink with me?"

"Yes! Aw, hey there pal, better luck next time right?"

She patted the crying man on the back in consolation - she didn't even feel like gloating, she felt so bad for the poor guy. She flashed a grin at the man in the shades.

"Sure thing! Why don't we grab drinks, and maybe you can show me how to play that game with all the little tiles piled on top of each other. It looks neat."

She collected her winnings cheerfully and raised a brow at the dealer, having noticed his little smirk at the beginning of the game.

Fox stood up and walked next to Ko. Sitting across the couch, Fox brought his arms/hand up to the table, where we clasped them.

"So, are you planning anything specific?"

Fox said, sitting face to face with Ko.

"Ah, you must be speaking of Mahjong," said the man.

"It is a little more complicated game than poker."

He placed his arm around her, leading her toward the table where the game was taking place. There were already four men present at the table, with either their friends or "bodyguards" sitting close by. Mahjong was a more intellectual game, so the men tended to stay somber enough to think straight. It also happened to be a smoke spot, as the stress could easily get to a person.

"It is similar to poker in that you try to get the best hand. Except in this case, it's tiles rather than cards."

C. Fox

Ko removed his shades, pocketing them into the inside of his suit's pocket. He then brought out a folded piece of paper, sliding it across the table for C. Fox to open. When he did so, he'll see the following list:

"These are the teams entering this year's Heaven or Hell. I have men already attempting to collect as much data as possible on each participant to give us a better edge over the competition. However, considering you are a veteran in this tournament's affairs, I figure I get a personal opinion about some of these people."

Ko raised up his glass of liquor and took a good drink from it, the potent alcohol burning the back of his throat. If he wasn't use to the stuff, he would have been coughing right about now like some amateur high schooler trying his first beer.

Standing up slowly as she wandered back to the bar, the gentleman she had been entertaining in tow. He ordered a couple of drinks while Jay so kindly excused herself for a moment to 'powder her nose'.
Making her way to the back room she simply sighed with relief at finally being able to have a break, he was easy money, but intense never the less and despite her still being very much in control of the current situation she still needed to have a bit of downtime before sitting with him for the rest of the evening.

Quickly tidying up her appearance, running her fingers through her hair and ensuring that her eye liner had not smudged. Almost perfect.
The only thing she needed was a drink in hand then she would indeed be a picture perfect hostess.

Smiling while walking back out and making her way back to the bar, she largely ignored her employer since he seemed busy with what she guessed was a client...the same guy that she had glanced earlier.
None of her business, no her business was at the bar, and he was watching her walk towards him, so without any further delay she closed the remaining distance and took her place at his side.
Tensing slightly as he slid his arm around her lower back, she was a fighter first, and his touch made her want to break his arm...But here she had a job to do and if this was what it took to make his wallet open further then so be it.

He passed her a glass of Pink Mascato, a drink she had mentioned being nice and sweet earlier in their conversation.

"Why thank you Steve."

Smiling softly before taking a small sip, knowing full well that he was trying to get her drunk... Unfortunately for him she was capable of drinking many a man under the table...that and that alcohol percentage of the wine was incredibly low, which was why it was so smooth and sweet.
But Jay wasn't going to tell him that.

Cale followed her newfound companion to the smoke-shrouded Mahjong table. She didn't seem to mind the haze of smoke one bit as she picked a seat slightly removed from the game and lounged in it.

"Let's watch a bit while we chat."

She suggested easily. True, she was a reckless gambler, but she would rather watch the game until she had a decent grasp on how it was played. Besides, she had all the time in the world and fully intended to relax while she could.

"I'm Cale, by the way. Do you come here often? I can't imagine you'd be interested in playing chaperone otherwise, there's so much to see and do."
