Welcome to the secluded Varcainen Bar and Inn! It's a meeting ground for the stranger folks of the modern day. A watering hole for all of the non-humans that may reside in the surrounding cities. The Inn is an exact replica of The Varcainen Mansion, a once warm home and popular meeting spot for Vanity's family, friends and allies.

Now the tavern's doors are open to any thirsty being, any lonely soul, any runaway needing a place to feel welcome. We offer a large bar with a top-shelf selection, a kitchen with complete with chef, however you are given the freedom to cook for yourself should you like to. We have an expansive library with many leather-bound books and it smells of rich mahogany. If you need a book, it's in there. Also, there's a lake at the bottom of the hill that the Inn sits on with a sandy, beach-like front. A cemetary is built on the left side of the Tavern, surrounded with a cast-iron fence. Inside are many graves of the Varcainen line. There are statues of both Vanity's brother and her sister and a large mausoleum stands in remembrance of her parents, who died in a vicious werewolf raid many, many years ago.

As you walk into up one of the double, marble staircases of the the Inn, you come to a large, elaborately decorated set of double doors. You are spotlighted in by the elegant porch light hanging above your head, which burns bright enough to see from the thick of the forest. You push the doors open and stroll into the lobby of the building. You may or may not be greeted as you enter, but from where you stand you take a look around. The floors below your feet are hard wood. In front of you, directly in front of you is a stand-alone fireplace, the flame is visible from both sides. Around the opposite side from where you stand is a semi-circle of couches, love-seats and arm chairs. Should you look up, you'll see a balcony looking over the lobby accessible from either of the two, curved staircases which meet you at the center of the lobby, hugging the edge of the sitting area, just in front of the fireplace. The balcony overlooking the ground floor lobby is interrupted in the center by a glass elevator from the lobby floor to where the rooms are located on the second floor. Around you are many archways that lead into the other areas of the tavern

Still standing in front of the fireplace, if you were to turn to the right you would see two archways. The one directly in front of, furthest to the right, contains the lounge area. There is at least one waitress around to come check on you and bring you drinks while you're lounging in one of the comfortable, black leather couches or love seats. There are small two-person tables set up around the outside of the couches should a couple need some private alone time to converse.

Should you still be standing at the front of the lobby and you look past the stand-alone fireplace and the chairs in the lounge and through the archway directly in front of you, you'll see the bar. It's a circular piece in the middle of the room, with booths and tables littered around it in an aesthetically pleasing way. The center of the bar is filled with liquors and taps of any alcohol you could ask for, and some you've probably never heard of- including a special drink, mostly for vampires, that can give you a daily serving of blood as long as you don't mind a nice buzz. Blood beer is all you have to ask for. There are synthetic packets in case there are no victims or in case their are come vampires that choose not to kill.

Back at the front of the Lobby, should you turn back to the right, you'll see an archyway beside the one that leads to the dining area which breaks off into two room, side by side. The first room is like a restaurant. Tables have been set up with chairs around them in groups of twos, threes and fours. Should you be eating with more than four people, there are deep red, L-shaped boots wrapped around tables stuck up in the corners. There is another archway to the left and through there is a much fancier dining hall, used by Vanity to have family or event meals with the patrons and residents of the bar. At the back of both rooms are swinging doors that lead to the kitchen areas. The Kitchen is filled with several of each appliance, all cuts of meats, all spices available. All of the ingredients kept in the large, industrial refrigerators are only of the finest quality.

As you come back to the lobby, standing at the front, you may look to the left and see another two archways. The one most to left is our Library. The walls have been fashioned into book shelves and all of them are literally filled from floor to ceiling. All books were replacements for Vanity's collection. Our books range from children books, to great classic novels to books about magic and the occult. There's a large area in the center of the library with about six tables, all of them set up with two chairs on either long side of the table. Hidden away in crevices are personal armchairs that are almost always soft, warm and inviting.

Should you be in the bar, you'll see a large window and a glass door leading out, down the hill and towards the lake. It's waters are, usually, oddly warm- especially in the summer. There are opportunities, for the brave swimmers, to swim deep down in the lake and locate the underwater tunnels that lead out to caverns where one my surface. The beach is well-kept with glittering white sand.

The Varcainen Bar and Inn is located tucked away in the Poconos, just on the outskirts of Scranton, Pennsylvania. You'll have to travel a few miles down an old, dark road packed with red clay, instead of black pavement or brown dirt. The road is very distinguishable, one of the only ones that haven't been paved over by now. Surrounding the Inn is a forest thick with tall, old trees and plentiful with wildlife from deer and rabbits to bobcats, wolves and bears. The year is 2013.

Weapons: A sword which, at first glance, is seemingly normal. It can extend into a barbed-whip. Vanity is very skilled with this weapon. Two Desert Eagles.
Personality: Vanity is protective and fierce when it comes to those close to her. She's loyal to people who prove their worth and can become very jealous. Assertive and Dominate when leading. She can be playful and coy when she's feeling like it, but she tends to be very introvertive and contemplative these days. She is very kind to new people until they give them a reason not to be. When angered or betrayed she is cruel, vicious and brutal.
Powers or Abilities: Seduction: The ability to influence the action of normal humans and less-powerful para-normals. Works on male and female.

Nikolai Crowe

Personality: Solemn, but determined. It's obvious that is condition effects his personality. He is very respectful and knows when to recognize those who are superior to him in ranks or strength.
Powers or Abilities: He was in the military before being discharged for a serious spinal injury. He cannot get around on his own and uses walkers and wheelchairs, even after years of physical therapy. His body is still in great condition, perhaps even better than before the military. He had become obsessed with strength in the hopes that it would allow him to walk again.

Personality: Fiona is a very quiet and well-kept person, and most often says out of people's way as much as possible if she is unneeded, despite the loneliness that this gives her. She is an insecure person, and doesn't see herself as very useful, but she evidently tries very hard to be kind and humble to people who do decide to speak to her. She easily hides in the background and goes unnoticed. She is easily flustered and can almost blush on command like a trained pup. Although she would never admit it, she is very useful and will run to the rescue of anyone who is under pain or stress, as her power wills her to assist them. Her impression and appearance is very young and shy, but her heart is open.

Weapons: A Large two handed sword known as Aden'naast(Merciless Destroyer). This is a magical weapon which crackles with energy and seems to emit a low hum when drawn for battle. The entire weapon is forged from Avalan steel which is stronger than normal steel. The weapon is perfectly balanced and was forged millenia ago. The magic of the blade keeps it sharp and nearly indestructible. Upon command Adenn can split the blade into two kopis and appears in his hand at will.
Personality: Adenn is an old soldier. He is hyper vigilant from centuries of war, he studies every room he enters, every person he meets with but a glance, finding weaknesses and strengths to exploit or avoid. He is generally a good natured man, looking out for those around him but seems to fight with himself in some situations.
He is also tired. Tired of the constant battle in which he seems to find himself and haunted by the faces of those he's had to watch die. Humans aren't supposed to live for centuries.
Powers or Abilities: Well above average physical strength and agility.

Personality: Keegan's parents knew she wasn't like the other Fae in their small clover patch. She was feisty and had much more of an attitude than the rest of the child fae in their land. She' smart and analytical. There are times when Keegan can come off as rude or mean, but all of her jabs are in jest- there's a sweetness in her. She becomes passionate about things, but much like a hot flame- there's a chance of that burning out quickly. She tends to get bored fast,

Personality: Earane is subtle when she speaks, leaving much to the imagination. She comes off as mysterious to most, then tends to grow on people. Her inclination toward people is pleasant. She loves a new face, and she has a big heart. She is the opposite of everything dark, which makes her a bit of a nuisance to those with devious desires. She's quick to throw a joke at you and slow to catch a joke thrown her own way, but she's entertaining to say the least.

Weapons: Teeth, Claws, and two Colt Six Shooters - one loaded with lead, and the other with silver.
Personality: Generally friendly and fun loving, Kai is a trickster at heart. She teases, but for the most part she means well. Underneath all that, however, is a dangerous and occasionally volatile temper. She has no qualms ripping out peoples throats, and occasionally takes delight in it.
Powers or Abilities: Standard werewolf powers - Strength, speed, and senses. Can shape shift regardless of full moon (though she MUST shift on the full moon), and has enough control to change only parts of her body (just claws, for instance) . Very good marksman, though she's far from perfect and her reload time is a bit slow.

She also likes a good drink and a nice round of sex. Devious, charming, sexual, and kind, but she's got a deep story. She's truly a woman after your own heart.
