Welcome to Gaia! ::

'Hmm...well, I'm no pro at this stuff, but maybe if you put more emphasis on the restaurant and other areas of the place, because I see it could have a lot of stuff going on, but it's tough to get past the 'Bar and Inn' part.' She walked forward and tested if the barstools would swivel. Satisfied with the results, Wren plopped down on one and spun around once, then stopped. 'Maybe if you hired some waitresses and waiters, a chef or two and set up a diner idea? Hey hey, could malted milkshakes be involved?' She laughed and grinned at past memories.
'Hmmm......' Wren leaned closer and whispered back, 'maybe next time they're both together in here, before they start fighting, we can plot to stick them in a situation with the classic romantic stuff? You know, mood music and lighting, the smell of roses, some candles here and there...well, maybe some of those battery run things, in case they do break stuff and knock them over-don't want the place burning down, that's for sure!' In a normal volume she continued, 'whatcha think? Ooh!' Whispering again, she elaborated, 'maybe we could set something up and lure them in around Valentine's? Then they won't suspect anything if they come in when the basic changes are made, because it's the holiday of love anyways, so it won't be until they both walk into the room on opposite sides that suddenly the lights'll dim and the music will start up and they'll realize we've set them up!' Wren was very enthusiastic about scheming and plotting, as was quickly becoming apparent. Suddenly she tilted her head and eyed Shiro. 'Are you okay? You looked sorta sad there, no offense. I mean, I'm bad at reading people, but...need a hug? Warm fuzzies? An extra hairband? A pin with a three-eyed guppy on it?'

(((Haha, you caught me when I happened to get online-some of my regulars in my shop are more devoted than I am now, I'm sad to say..they way school's going, it's already the 2nd week and I can't afford sleep. I'm only online now cuz I'm having a shitty day and this made me feel some better. Too much stress and too many public transit mishaps, today.)))

"Now that sounds like an idea. I was thinking i'll just leave it as 'Vermilion Valentines' and people can come in out of their own curiosity... A diner does sound like a good idea as well... Hmm, I have noticed an awful lot of bars have been popping up lately, Barton Town is going to turn into the next Neoshuku*..." Shiro half laughed at the thought of NaoBarton or something. It was an amusing idea, but he wouldn't want his family-oriented business to be in the middle of it. He listened to Wren whisper her ideas and snickered at the idea of the two in question being surrounded by roses and love-inspired things, "Hahahaha, I wonder how well that would work. Akairo swears he's not gay, at all, and Haru swears he doesn't have a thing for Akairo... They might both be in too much denial! Actually... I don't even know if Haru's gay or not. But... Well... Pink hair doesn't lie..." He could hear it in his mind already, Haru saying [******** YOU! I'm not gay and I don't like him! UGH!' He snickered at that thought too. The feline-boy had started to zone out into his own thoughts before he'd noticed Wren asking him if he was alright, "Yeah. I was just thinking about some of the mistakes I made and if the people affected by them are doing alright." He sighed a little before hopping over the bar counter and reaching out a tea kettle, "I made a lot of, uhh, relationship mistakes. And there was a lot of collateral damage along the way. I feel like I probably burned my bridges with a few people." He continued as he ran water from a drinking line into the kettle. He then sat it on the counter, and with a flick of his wrist, it had disappeared. It was now on the stovetop in the kitchen behind him, getting hot and ready for tea or hot cocoa. "It's kinda saddening, when I stop and think about it. I know parts of it were my fault, but parts of it weren't too... I'm just hoping no one, besides myself, was penalized for it too much."

Obligation Of Caduceus: (LOL, Puns on the OOC term!) *Neoshuku is a red-light district near Shinjuku that's known for two things:gay sex and bars/alcohol galore! LOL I'm a pervert. <3 I definitely know the frustrated feeling right now... My damned internet/phone company shut my services off yesterday because of a mistake that THEY made. I was so pissed. xD First I pay them 160 bucks, which is like 3 of my bill because I was paying ahead after income tax, and then I get a bill a week later saying i'm BEHIND by that amount? So then my mom's boyfriend guy gets his bill and it has a 320 dollar credit on it. They took the money I paid and applied it to his account, twice. And then when I called and raised hell about it, they said, "Well we can't do anything unless he says it's okay." So it if wasn't Gary that had got the credit, I would have been s**t outta luck and owed twice of what EXTRA I paid. So I finally get that straightened out, and then a few days later they SHUT OFF MY SERVICE?!?! Awww man, all HELL broke loose this morning. I tried to call them last night but, "Our hours are 8A-6P" and it was about 9P when I realized that it wasn't just faulty net... A similar fiasco happened with the bank at around the same time, where they lost the 500 bucks I was putting into savings. But I got that straightened out too, thanks to Gary being a bank officer... s**t happens. xD
x__x;;
Obligation Of Caduceus: So. I'm thinking about making a new Vermilion Valentines... Something with less, I suppose... Something that's a little bit easier to work with, and that might attract a bit more attention than this.

I'm hardcore tired of this thread going dead for weeks and months at a time, and me having to defibrillate it back to life because it can't seem to get on its feet of its own accord. D:

Maybe not a bar too... Just an Inn? I'd like opinions but since I know I won't get any real input, i'm gonna just do it on my own anyway. But yeah, expect to see links to a new VV in the future. :3

I wanna make employee badges... >:3 Maybe the new thread will have a whole new name too, why not? Maybe the name was part of what was destroying this thread from the beginning.

"Oh, seems I have a fan..." The cat-boy thought aloud, a slightly perplexed look about his features. "And who might you be?" He asked casually as the stranger clung to him. Either this was someone from a previous life that he didn't recall, or someone who perhaps he didn't recognize.

Obligation Of Caduceus:You're getting there, but you're still violating my rules, haha! I know, I make things too complicated... But whatever I do with my new thread should be easier... Maybe a zOMG based one, since my love for the game has been rekindled... Also, unrelated sidenote, this was an extremely short post...

A short girl, with long purple hair quietly walked in, and hands clapsed behind her back, looked around. She giggled soflty as she saw a green haired boy with cat ears being clung too.
"Oh excuse me. I really do hope that I am not interupting anythig."
Smiling sweetly she heads over the windowseal and crawls onto it, drawing one knee to her chest. Tucking her hair behind her ear she looked out the window.

((Hi Shiro =3))

Shiro noticed the stranger as she strolled in, casually replying, "Nope, not at all~" He watched her make her way to the windowsill and simply continued, "Let me know if you need anything, just ask for Shiro and i'm sure I'll find you~"

OoC: Herro :3 Sorry it took me so long, I needed to format a post style. xD I was so lazy, lol!

The girl looked back over at the cat boy and smiled. She leaned forward and rested her chin her her knee. The long hair failing to one side.

"That I will Shiro, oh and I guess if you want you can call me Nik Nak. So, what kinda of place is this anyways?"

She continued smiling at him while she let herself also become more relaxed, letting the feel of the place sink in. She felt calm here, relaxed. She took in a deep breath and savored the feeling.

((its all good lol.))

"Well, originally I had a lot of friends with families, so I opened this place as a family oriented establishment... But now their families are gone, or they are... So it's kind of just empty now. The bar is about the only place that's still used." The neko explained with a slight melancholic look about him. He shook it off and smiled at NikNak, "What brings you here? Anything special?"

As she listened she stood up and walked over to him and shrugged.
"Well, that is rather sad. To be the only one left. Well, if you dont mind, I can come here everyday, its not like I have anything else to do. I saw this place while walking and just felt drawn to it."
She stretched her arms up over her head, standing on her tip toes. Looking at him sideways she smiled again as she clasped her hands behind her head and did a slight hop/spin.

Shiro smiled warmly, "That would be just lovely!" He exclaimed. The person clinging to him before seemed to have disappeared; perhaps went up to their room for the evening. "I'm glad this place drew you in, that's the exact feeling I was going for!" He laced his fingers together and cracked his knuckles. For the first time in a while, he didn't have anything to do. No repairs to make or random customers to serve, and he had hired help to do some of those things for him as well. Something seemed a bit awkward between the two, or perhaps this was the cat-boy's perception. He shrugged it off as them not knowing one another yet, which was probably the case

She smiled at him then turned and started to wander about. As she did she found some old books and finding one she thought she might like she made her way back to the room with the bar and let herself fall over the arm of the couch. Once she got herself comfertable, she tucked her knees under herself and began to read.

Black engulfs the dying light as he falls

A pair of bare feet walk slowly into the front doors of the vermillion valentines, ever so lightly the pads touching the floor as a man walks in keeping his eyes down low, swaying back and forth slowly as if he was in a trance. Once he reaches the bar he glides his fingertips across the countertop slowly, resting it softly at the end, a small spot with scratches, worn down from age and wear, and he chuckles quietly, slowly hopping up onto the bar, sitting with his back to the wall as he had done for so long, so long ago. "it has in fact been a long time since ive been here in this very place... I wonder how everyone is doing.. or if they even bother to come here anymore..." He said quietly, moving his hand slowly over his face, brushing his hair back, revealing his ice blue eye first, moving to the crimson red as he pulled his hair back to the side. "lets hope I actually run into someone... I haven't had human interaction in quiet a while.." He said, almost a whisper as he slid down the bar into a more comfortable position, his pale white skin glittering from moisture from the travel back to his home.

"You might be surprised who you can still find here." A soft, but coy, voice replied. A familiar voice... Though something was different about it. None other than the fledgling vampire that is Haru came shuffling out from the kitchen. His colour had returned to him and he wasn't rejecting his new reality anymore. He looked much... Better. Stronger. More mature. "It's still the same as always though, we only get a few regulars and the occasional newbie." He continued with a light, bored sigh. "It's nice to see familiar faces every now and then."
