Lonely Mage

Pausing at the top of the stairs she blinked a couple of times.
Interesting.
She hadn't thought that she'd slept that heavily, but there had most assuredly been someone here, or perhaps more than one. She wasn't sure yet. Moving quietly down the stairs, her violet eyes never stopped moving, though her tail was curled slightly around her left leg, hampering her movements a bit. Sometimes she was sure that it had a mind of its own. Probably the aftereffects of the transformation spell she had been trying at the time. Experiments were a chancy thing after all.

Reaching the main floor with barely a sound she paused and took in a deep breath through her nose. Two beings. One seemed familiar, but the other was something she couldn't identify. She didn't think it was anyone from the academy, then again they hadn't sent anyone after her in years now, so she really couldn't be sure just who was in charge these days.

Lonely Mage

Shaking her head she chided herself for being so skittish then forced her feet over behind the bar. Touching a couple of knots on the edge of the bar a small door opened. Reaching inside Souijji pulled a small handle that opened a section of floor. Closing the door she went down the stairs and disappeared as the section of floor closed over her head, leaving nothing but an odd faint scent of roast lamb and onions.

Lonely Mage

The floor behind the bar slowly swung upwards and Souijji climbed out humming softly to herself. Her striped tail swung lazily from side to side as she moved into the room and paused to ensure there was no one around. She was use to being mostly alone, but she still made sure there was no one around.

Lonely Mage

Sighing softly she shook her head and touched the hidden spot under the edge of the bar. With barely a twitch of her eyebrows she walked up the staircase and back to her room so she could plan for the near future and decide if she wanted to go back to her lab or not.

Lonely Mage

Slipping back out of her room, she paused long enough to make sure that the wards keeping everyone and everything out were in place and functioning within desirable limits. It wasn't that she didn't trust people, it was more that she didn't want anyone getting hurt unnecessarily. That was usually what happened when people tried to figure out the different objects in her room.

Turning she went to the top of the stairs and paused again. Sighing softly she closed her eyes for a moment. She could remember so many good times here, so much fun and mischief. Sadly that was long ago. Sometimes it seemed like another lifetime, or maybe just another life.

Lonely Mage

Taking a deep breath she opened her eyes again.
"If only one could turn back time as easily as one can turn around."
Shaking her head she started down the stairs, pausing occasionally to straighten a picture frame here and there. Once at the bottom of the stairs she looked around again, reliving a few of the better memories that she'd made while staying here in the past.

Lonely Mage

Walking over to the bar she lay her staff across it then stepped behind to pull out a bottle of peach brandy. One corner of her full lips pulled up in a half smile as she looked at the bottle.
"Why not. It's not like anyone will care if I loose it."
Snagging a goblet off the rack she filled it half full before setting it on the counter and putting the bottle away. Walking around the edge of the bar she perched on a stool and lifted the glass to her nose to inhale the bitter/sweet smell of the liquid in the glass.

Lonely Mage

Closing her eyes she touched the glass to her lips then downed the entire drink in short order then shudered and set the glass back on the bar.
"UUUGH! Still nasty."
Fighting the urge to bring it back up she muttered soflty under her breath, the glass disappeared from the bar top and reappeared back on the shelf, clean and dry as if it had never been touched.

Lonely Mage

Picking her staff up off the bar she slid off the barstool and looked around once more. She couldn't have stopped the black tear that clouded her vision even if she had wanted to. She supposed it would always hurt to let go of the past, but at least she knew this place was still here, even if her old friends weren't.
"Worlds are made and worlds are lost in the blink of a Gods eye. Too bad someone didn't punch the b*****d in the face before he could blink."
Puling her jacket a little tighter around her too thin frame she turned to the door and slowly walked out, closing it gently behind her before heading down the path to the main road.
((Well that is a name I was not really ever expecting to see, though I honestly may be the same way in the mind of many. I'm keep checking back in next few weeks to see if you're by again Souijji.))

Loyal Gaian

(( Man, I've missed this place.... it's been forever. Happy New Year! ))
