Alice raised an eyebrow and gave Isabel an impish smile. "Again, still one or two things off the list. But I'll go into town, see if I can recruite a few people... It really would be better if we could have one sacrifice... a mere mortal lying on his deathbed." Technically, Alice was a mortal; just a bit longer-living to say the least. She saw herself at least two rungs above those with nothing at all on the ladder of importance.

Errol looked around for something to do. Wasn't there anything to do around this place? He wasn't huge on sightseeing, so that was one major thing knocked down.

Isabel nodded. "All right, but no killing innocents." The air went cold again and she cocked her ear as if she were listening to something. She turned to Errol.

"If you're bored we have a library and a pool upstairs." Isabel offered.

It's nice to be a shaman sometimes She thought and smiled to herself. Then she turned her gaze to Justine.

"Welcome! Do you need anything?" She asked.

"Okay... but our definitions of 'innocents' are probably worlds apart." Alice said, getting up and trying to find a clipboard, pen, and paper around here.

"Hhhm? Oh... yeah. Well, I'm going out for a minute. I feel sick..." Errol said, clutching his stomach slightly and heading out for the door.

Isabel pointed to a pad of paper and pen on a small wooden table by the window. The light of the afternoon sun refleted on the paper making it as pretty and perfect as a picture. She watched Errol leave hoping that he wasn't sensitive to ghosts, some people were. That meant if he was then Abraham would have to leave for a little while. She didn't want to find out, so she decided to leave the case be. For the time being, anyway.

"Thanks." Alice said, grabbing the pad and paper. "Now for volunteers." She smiled to herself. Maybe she could convince a few people in the inn.

"Damn it..." Errol whispered hoarcely, wincing. "Why is this happening? I haven't been near the thing in years." He was talking about what gave him his 'gifted' status; a blueish syringe with a neon needle. He remembered it only for the pain and the vibrant colors of it. He always felt awful when he was near it, but this was worse than awful; he could have sworn someone had stabbed him in the stomach with a dagger.

"Is your partner okay?" Asked Isabel suddenly. She just had to know if her ghosts were the cause of his distress. He was nearly keeling over outside and she had grown quite worried about him.

"Partner... oh crap!" Alice yelled, turning around and spotting Errol outside. She quickly came outside and looked at Errol, worry in her eyes for her cousin, who was more like a brother to the only child. "What the heck is going on?"

Errol went pale... er... paler. "Alice... I have something in my pack. It's orange the whole way and it looks like a water bottle. Get it now." Errol said between sharp twinges of pain.

Isabel ran outside and found the two. She knew what she could do was little, but still, she was to be a polite hostess. She asked calmly "Is there anything I can do to help you?"

"Yeah, just keep him calm while I go look for the thing. Thanks, just... thanks!" Alice said, already halfway inside and looking for Errol's pack.

Errol closed his eyes tight, then opening them quickly. They appeared... red now. Not bloodshot, but the iris... red. The stabbing pain dulled slightly, but was accomanied by a dull burning pain on his arms. "Alice, hurry, he's coming!"

Not knowing what else to do (For Isabel had little experience in this kind of situation), Isabel held his shoulder. "You'll be okay." She lulled, her voice soothing. She remembered long ago to the time when she sung lullabies to give peace to her younger siblings when they had night frights. Perhaps this would help.
Syn walked in and looked around. He sighed slightly his bangs hanging over his eyes. Syn walked in more as he looked around for anybody.

Alice finally found the backpack and rummaged through it. "Orange... orange... not the right kind." She said, through out things, which included what might have been a snack for later; a smallish orange. "Water bottle....! Found it." Alice smiled triumphantly and started heading back to Errol. "Hope Lore doesn't show up before Errol can get back..."

Errol breathing steadied for a moment, then raged back up. A base voice, much unlike Errol's normal tennor, came from Errol's mouth. "Leave... NOW!" This was no joking matter; Errol's own "mad hatter" so to speak, had came.

Isabel took her hands of Errol's shoulders for a moment and waved. "We're kind of in a sticky situation here." She apologized.

Isabel laughed. Again, one of Isabel's chatostrophic faults were showing. No sense of self preservation. "I live here, remember?" She teased.
Syn looked up and over at Isabel and waved slightly. He then began to walk towards her looking at her confused. "What's wrong?" He said slightly concerned.

"Nothing, but he," Isabel pointed to Errol. "Is in pain. I have no idea about the orgins or effects of the situation though."
