"R-right..." Luce tried to reassure herself, but it was too late. Bodies began to pile up around her, and the inn expanded into a huge, detail-less space, every face vague, but every ounce of detail that should have been there focused onto one wall, which in blood and claw-slashes read the words 'You'll be next' and was seemingly signed by her. Of course, this was all in her imagination, but the line between reality and fantasy had been broken days ago, and so it all meshed together within her tired mind.
Brett's eyes widened as his love started to hallucinate again. He gently placed his hand on the back of her head, hoping that this old cure would still work. He smiled reassuringly and gently guided her lips to his in a soft kiss. He pulled away after a couple of seconds to see if it worked.

She was seemingly long gone, caught in the cross-hairs of her hallucination, the strongest one she had seen in a while. When Brett pulled away, she turned and crouched down, looking at a faceless corpse, torn apart beyond any recognition and hardly human looking anymore. "Why did I do this to you?" She asked, no sorrow in her voice, but instead child-like curiosity. Luce sat on her knees and poked the corpse's face (or rather, where it's face should have been), looking quite odd from the normal person's perspective.
Brett looked down at her, kneeling down to her and wrapping his arms around her again. "Luce...There is nothing there. There is no corpse." he said softly, worried for her. He wondered if he should get his family, but he couldn't leave her to go get them all.

Luce blinked, hearing Brett's voice. "How can't you see it?" She asked, as if he was the once suffering various levels of a mental and nervous breakdown. "It's quite obviously right here." Luce said, smiling. "I'll even show you it's insides." She ran her finger across what would have been the corpse's abdomen, and before her eyes she saw the cut slice perfectly, displaying everything. Luce bit her lip, looking intently at, what was in reality, the floor. "Hmmm... Well, I thought it was dead... but hearts don't usually beat when people are dead, do they?"
Brett sighed. "There is nothing there...You are just touching the ground." he said before he tried kissing her again to make things better. "Luce, please listen to me. You are hallucinating. You are seeing things that do not exist."

"I am?" Luce asked, genuinely surprised by this news. She opened her mouth to speak, but instead she yawned. Her eyes trailed up the stairs as she came out of her hallucinating state, and shook her head, lying on the floor and falling asleep.
Brett gazed down at her, sighing and shaking his head. He chuckled a little bit and scooped her up into his arms before he walked upstairs. He set her down on his bed and placed the covers on her before he went to take a shower.

Luce stirred, mumbling loudly. Her eyes opened, and any trace of normalcy left in her sights were gone. She blinked as the room slowly became a forest, the bed now two fallen, mossy trunks and the nighttable a large, funny smelling mushroom. Luce wrinkled her nose in disdain, standing up and dusting herself off before setting out to find a room in which she hallucinated less... or better, she wasn't sure which.
Brett followed her. "Luce, where are you going? What are you seeing?" he said, concerned for her well-being and concerned about what she was seeing through her eyes. "I am worried for you, Luce. Whatever you are seeing doesn't exist."

Luce spun on her heels, pressing herself against the nearest wall, then as she looked, realized who it 'was'. "Oh, it's just the blind boy from the cimitero motivi... You scared me. Well, um, you see, I woke up in a forest, and I don't really like, well, things that live in forests, so I got up and headed out here." She said, gazing at the walls. "It's quiet out here, more so than it was at the cemetery grounds or the forest..."
