Welcome to Gaia! ::

"Peanut butter makes almost anything better," Sam told her as if it were common knowledge, completely unaware of the amusement someone might take from hearing him say that. He sat at the bar, close enough for comfortable conversation, but far enough away to not be "with" her. A respectful sort of distance. It wasn't his habit to invite himself to others' company. "Yes. We have been sleeping. A lot." He ran a hand over his face for a moment, still trying to 'wake up.' "How long has it been?"
She was clearly not a morning person the way she sat the wok on the stove. She was clearly angry at the stove for being stupid and the wok for being heavy, and for the fire in the stove not being hot enough. She pressed her hand in the wok waiting for it to heat up enough. She stood there clearly not awake enough to realized that hand on hot metal hurts.. it wasn't until nearly a minute later she muttered the word "ow" and removed her hand and dumped in the rice. She let the rice warm up while she ran her hand under cold water.
Two, three days since I last saw you.
*She offers him some celery*
Would you like a drink? I knocked over a few bottles when I was back there... but we're not busy enough people will mind we're out of Merlot will they?
*Itsmeh was always a bit of a klutz, but fortunately she had been wearing her new shoes so did not end up injured again*
I wanted to make sure you all were alright before I headed out...
*Yes, that was a viable excuse as to why she was still here*
Sam's eyes widened in surprise, "Two, three days?" he'd never slept that long in his life that he could recall. Time did not pass the same in the dream world as here, but it had not seemed that long. He seemed to realize her question a moment later, "Beer," he said simply. He didn't seem to notice her comment on heading out at first, but when he did, he looked up at her. "Where are you going?"
She was done chilling her hand and cracked the eggs over the rice and stirred, letting it good a little longer. When the eggs were set and slightly scrambled with the rice she poured some soy sauce over it. Once that was done she dumped the left overs including her green beans in and rinsed her hand again. By the time she was done rinsing her hand the food would be warmed through and she put it all on a plate and walked it out to sam
*Itsmeh nodded her head at the two or three days. When he asks, she frowns*
I don't know... I just... I'm searching for someone....
*She watches Rani bring in the food and silently munches on her celery*
Sam gave Itsmeh a knowing look. He knew about that. Although he didn't know about not knowing who he was looking for. He was about to ask her 'what kind of someone' when he noticed her attention had shifted. He looked up and smiled when he saw Rani returning. She hadn't just brought back left overs, she'd brought back new and improved left overs. He looked at his plate closely, confused for a moment, "There are eggs in it?" he asked his expression mostly flat, though it was clear he was a little baffled. He'd never had eggy rice... or perhaps it was ricey eggs. "Will you eat it also?"
She nodded "Yes there are eggs in it. Eat it" She watched him and when he asked if she was going to eat it she took that as hesitation that he didn't think it was good enough of a dish to eat since there was both eggs and rice and meat in it. "Fine" She took his fork spearing a piece of the lamb, the eggs the rice the peppers and the green beans. She brought it to her mouth and then inserted.

She chewed slowly, using every ounce of her strength not to spit it out and go hurl the offensive food products out of her mouth. She managed to force herself to swallow it and took another forkful to prove a point. She took longer this time to swallow it. Repeating the process for three more subsequent bites after this. The flavor itself wasn't offensive it was the fact she knew it to be meat and eggs that was the most offensive to her. She started to look a little green around her cheeks as she gave him back the fork. "See completely edible."

Her hands were trembling as she poured herself a glass of whiskey gulping it down trying to force the taste of the food out of her mouth. She had eaten MEAT. MEAT!!! She poured herself another big glass of whiskey drinking it down just as quick as before. She seemed to drink whiskey more than anything else. "Please enjoy breakfast. I have lost my appetite"
Sam was suprised at her, and just watched without comment. He didn't if he should be proud of her, amused, or irritated. Maybe a little of each. He watched her steadily while she ate, almost no expression on his face. He seemed to be more stoic than he had been recently, in spite of his amusement. "It was only a question." he said mildly. "I did not believe it to be unsavory..." he watched her downing the whiskey with a raised brow. "Perhaps there is something better for you to eat. The peasant says this celery plant is good to eat. perhaps you will like it also." He suggested, a little hopefull to improve her mood. He did however, take the fork and start eating without hesitation. apparently it didn't bother him to share utensils and he wasn't so concerned that he would be losing his appetite.
She drained another glass of whiskey and filled the glass anew. She slid the glass along the counter towards Samuel. Since they shared utensils there was no sense not sharing a glass. "I said I lost my appetite" she seemed just a tiny bit cranky today, she perhaps was not a morning person. Then again they had been asleep for many days and were most likely dehydrated.
"I know what celery is. If she says its fit for human consumption she is a liar. It is a most vile vegetable I would not even feed it to an animal it is so vile"
Sam was beginning to grow worried at the sheer volume of whiskey she was consuming and at the rate she was doing so. He frowned at her, but accepted the whiskey. He didn't drink it nearly as quickly as she did. He liked to taste it. But it was still gone within a matter of several minutes. "I see." he said, still somewhere between amused and irritated. "But food is good for you, you should eat something." he insisted, trying to be gentle about it, but not succeding too well. Her attitude was beginning to bother him, which made it hard to sympathize, and made him worry that his temper would make it's return appearance now, so soon after they'd just talked about it.
"If I eat anything else right now I fear I will be sick in the bar. Now please eat your food and just let it be right now" she rubbed her hand lightly where she had pressed it into the wok "I'm just have they say fallen out of dream on the sour side of morning"
