Anxious Ladykiller

Balls,” she cursed under her breath as the blonde collapsed, realizing quickly that she wouldn’t be getting up. She’d always had a strict nonintervention policy when it came to who-knows-what fights, but.

Rune gave her free things. And even Nadine, selfish Nadine, couldn’t help feeling some gratitude for the woman who’d come to her rescue. A married, vampire woman – but that was the problem, wasn’t it? Her usual shows of gratitude wouldn’t do here at all. Her game was officially thrown.

Before she could continue considering uncharacteristic acts of heroism, she was being grabbed. The thought briefly flitted across her mind that at least it’s not my damn hair this time but that got quashed quickly enough. Less unpleasant did not pleasantness make. This one, while less cranky, was also creepier. Bigger. Stronger. Generally worse in every way.

“I do not know what the [********] that is,” she began, outrage once again rising with her heartrate, “but you need to get it the hell away from my – everything. That does not look like something you whip out in public.” She resisted the urge to kick her legs at him, a rare moment of foresight from the bundle of poor impulse control.
Tryan wisely kept his distance for now. It was a two-legger fight, why get involved unnecessarily? But Rune was involved, and that kept him from fleeing. He tracked her movements as he paced, and then suddenly she was down and she wasn't moving. He started creeping in her direction, keeping an eye on the combatants. When he was sure they were too occupied with each other, he sprinted for Rune, nuzzling her and prodding her and generally being as aggravating as he knew how to be, when he got to her. But she wasn't responding. He pulled experimentally at her shirt, but his teeth simply went straight through it. He tried to find any way to get a hold of her, but there was no way to do that without hurting her, which meant he couldn't pull her to safety. He opted instead to stand guard over her, which he did with mantled wings, bared teeth, and claws fully extended.

Sam actually smiled at her, though he didn't really answer her. "Thank you," he said instead, slowing down to match her pace. He easily ate three times the amount of food she required, if he'd tried to live on her diet, he would literally starve to death. He knew, he'd almost done just that once upon a time. If hugs kept her from more of this silly, if seriously worrisome, business, she would have all the hugs she wanted.

ooc: brb, gotta run to the store

Otherworldly Garbage

((Allow me to re-type that last post; apparently, yours hit the thread the exact minute mine did. XD))

Fashionable Lunatic

She stopped for a moment when he smiled and her face lit up she loved it when he smiled he was the most handsomest man when he smiled. "I fall in love with that smile" She brought a hand to her face in a gentle slap she couldn't believe she said the most stupidest of things at times. Things that couldn't be unsaid. She stuffed food in her mouth mainly so she could not say things that would make her sound foolish. The downside of stuffing your face so your mouth would not talk was that your food tended to go away after and then eventually you'd be left with no food in your mouth and you would have to talk.

Otherworldly Garbage

The once-human form growled indignantly. Somewhere in the nether regions of the very occupied mind being borrowed, Russel the man could feel a sense of growing remorse, a fear for the two bodies lying helpless to this b*****d's antics. But, knowing he had lost control to the forces he did, he knew any pleas of his would go unheeded. 'Push her to the corner, get her out of the bugger's reach before he does anything!....you'll have just him to deal with then!' the dark magician screamed forcefully--which came out, in comparison to their voice, as more of a whisper. He had hoped at least that latter idea might coax them. 'Mettle not, meek mortal.....we have far more knowledge on these matters than thoust can ever fathom.' The second time this had ever transpired since he had become a changed man....would this end as badly as the last time? Had he not been tempered then by a powerful enchantress, he might have been left with more to regret. What would temper him now?

For now, the legion was content to do as it pleased, a smirk forcing itself across Russel's left cheek. "Thou thinkest we've the same rigid, spineless reservations as this vessel? Thou thinkest thy weak defence shall impede our force?!" they chided the raven, content to walk at a slow gate towards him---they had in mind to snatch his little skin-explosive from his claws before he could expect it. 'This game would leave this impudent weakling confounded,' the legion chuckled mentally. "Not as cunning of a tactician as thou thinkst, comrade, overestimating thy limited powers, thy limited imagination, so naively....we are legion, we shall crush thee...."

"Hush," he hissed to the woman, long limb tightening around her to press her to his side, explosive stick switched to his free hand as Russel's possessed form drew nearer. Whatever was within that man's head was clearly less moral than the original host. His meat shield may be of less use, were this the case.

It might have been wise to remember that his mask had been off all this time, and as each second passed the air within the room had become thicker and thicker with that toxin. In truth he wanted to see if this would have any affect on Russel. But then he also hadn't spilled blood in hours, and that really wouldn't do. Why not take out his frustrations on the fool?

So be it.

Nadine would find herself wrenched back a bit as he'd turn his body enough to toss the stick at Russel, palm open wide the moment it left his hand. The dynamite hissed as it was flung through the air and would explode upon contact with another object-- whatever that may be. Perhaps the possessed man would dodge or parry it. Either way he'd find a very thick, condensed ball of explosive matter following promptly behind the stick, aimed directly at the man's chest.

It wouldn't be enough to tear a hole in him; Karasu's energy was primarily being saved for something else. But it'd certainly have the force to throw a man back and onto his a**.

Meanwhile, Scrotes lovingly groomed Nadine's ankle.

Otherworldly Garbage

A low growl came bursting through the teeth, the possessed human body smoothly ebbing diagonally, a diagonal zig-zag that caused the toned body to dive for an extreme right while it simultaneously dived for an extreme lunge forward. Landing at the human's knees, the legion easily pushed itself up, standing now directly parallel to the bird youkai. "Thou art not as devious and sadistic as the human originally thought.....our curiosity was indeed piqued, at the thought of facing such a diverting opponent...still, thou amuseth us," spoke the distorted jumble of voices, as if in nonchalant disregard. The magical ragdoll that Russel now was lunged head first, hands extended, at Karasu, flinging the forgotten glass bottle directly at his eyes. It, the legion, being able to withstand the noxious poisons by virtue of the parasites' immortality, thought nothing of the possibility of the poison leaking further.

Anxious Ladykiller

Hush? Hush? No one told Miss Nadine to hush!

Except large men with explosives and toxic faces. She tried turning her face away from his, but it didn’t seem to help much, if at all. She jammed her eyes shut, the burning already beginning, trying to stop herself from breathing. If she’d had any sense, she’d have thought to get a lungful of fresh air while it was available; too late for that now. The ache was back, the fire in her lungs and mouth and everything in between. Her arm had been sore already from the encounter with Kuronue, and this squeezing wasn’t helping matters. Shaking her around like the world’s worst dance partner wasn’t helping much, either. The wrenching had knocked her glasses down her face – again – and her eyes were tearing up, trying to purge them of the poison. At least she didn’t have to worry about everything looking blurry, this time; she had to keep her damn eyes shut anyway.

She was going to have to breathe soon, but she held it as long as she could, resisting the urge to scream and curse. Indignant, unhappy noises, yes – but the kind that never left her throat, didn’t require opening her mouth to let more awfulness in. For this one occasion, Nadine really, really didn’t want to inhale.

Of all the times for Scrotes to have come back, it would of course be now. Her plan to stay stillish was lost in her attempts to kick the thing away.
Sam never was able to maintain a smile for long, and by the time she spoke it was gone, as usual, but if it hadn't been, it would have died on his lips replaced by unadulterated shock. He remembered, of course, how often she would comment on him smiling and how he needed to do so more often, but he hadn't quite grasped how much it meant to her. In that moment, it became shockingly clear. While she turned to her food to stop from talking, he was stunned into inaction and just sat there, trying to process what he'd just seen and heard. He was truly at a loss, speechless, his mind was a blank he was struggling to get started again. "You what?" he asked before he realized what he was doing, but it came out a whisper anyway.

Dapper Hunter

"Oh, no," he corrected, coy smile flitting over lips, "the human was correct in that initial assumption."

Two options; take the bottle to the face and beat the demons out of this fool, or save his gorgeous visage and be in a position of defense.

Head turned enough for the bottle to crash against the side of his jaw, tiny fragments of glass leaving a nice, reddened mosaic.

That out of the way, Karasu was eight feet tall. As such, he had very, very long legs, and they were very, very strong. The length of those legs easily outmatched the reach of even a tall human, and he made no issue in using this to his advantage. When Russel came upon him, Karasu rotated on heel to deliver a hard, mid-level round kick right in the man's gut. Hopefully it'd manage to break a few ribs while he was at it. This would of course be followed through with chucking the unfortunate Nadine at the lunatic.

If that didn't work he'd throw Nadine in the man's path anyhow. Just for spite, you know, because she had to go and be unbeautiful at him.

Otherworldly Garbage

The puppet-body having been knocked squarely to the floor, the entities controlling it glowered savagely with black, piercing, malicious eyes at the vain bird-creature. While much of the pain had been sublimated to a hapless Russel, a remaining portion was left for the renters. They did take care to roll to the left, lest the human woman impede their plan Doubled over, they grasped at Russel's stomach, writhing in the blow, before opening a now very licentious mouth. "Fair enough, bird-creature, fair enough....prideful, vainglorious, we might like to add...." But, o, that mouth had opened for more than speaking!"Flames of ire, ascending higher, lit upon the Dark Lord's sacred pyre..." whispered Russel forcefully, only to blow a thin jet of flames--but rest assured that his face would be too easy a target. His ostentatious garb, perchance? His vainly-kept, beautiful silken locks? Yes, they decided, these would catch flame swiftly enough. The plasmatic jet was now centimetres from the tail of Karasu's coat, and then the tip of his back locks, edging ever closer.

((Edit, taking Nadine into account))

Anxious Ladykiller

((... Nadine is about to get set on fire, isn't she? I'm starting to regret abandoning a previous character because everyone was too nice to her User Image))
The longer this went on, the worse Tryan wanted to get Rune and himself out of there. When the air began to grow toxic, he abandoned the thought of leaving Rune unharmed. He stood over her, took her by the upper arm, ignored the taste of her blood, and dragged her away. He was as careful as he could be, but considering his mismatched anatomy that resulted in a beak with teeth, there wasn't much he could do to minimize damage other than taking the lightest hold of her he could. He dragged her out through a passage that precious few knew existed and would be impossible to find unless shown. He brought her outside and hid with her in the bushes. The creature licked at her wounds periodically, trying to stop the bleeding.
