Founded on the principles of peace, tranquility, and brotherhood, the Silver Helm is a retreat from the everyday hustle and bustle of life. It is a place where brothers who once rose blades against one another may stop in and have a pint while reflecting on what makes their feud so important. Those who need shelter from some danger would find the Silver Helm to be a welcoming safe haven.
The Silver Helm Area
⋘The Building Exterior⋙
Crafted out of hand cut stones the building is one story with a terracotta clad roof. The front of the building has a very simple screened in porch which has several small tables and a few rocking chairs for guests to enjoy during times when the weather is beautiful. Faisil feels that having a simple face to the building helps to drive people closer together through interaction and helps provide a better sense of fellowship.
⋘The Building Interior⋙
The inside of the establishment is nothing more than a wooden plank floor, several tables, and a simple wooden bar from which Faisil serves customers. For those who have proven themselves to intoxicated to brave the outdoors at after a hard night of drinking, Faisil offers a small hostel style room in the back where people may stay the night to recuperate.
Along the walls of the main room are pictures, hand painted by Faisil himself of some of the adventures he has been on during his many years of traveling the globe and through planar shifts. Many depict Faisil doing battle with creatures that are otherworldly in nature, but there are several which depict beautiful landscapes and celestial cities. To go with these paintings, several weapons hang along the walls which includes Faisil's first shamshir, his first recurve bow, and his first shield. All weapons hanging have had their blades dulled or their strings removed.
⋘The Silver Helm's Lands⋙
The grounds in which the Silver Helm rests on are quite simple: nothing more than well trimmed green grass with the occasional well established oak tree here and there. Near the main entrance to the simple one story building is a small pond which is well maintained to help prevent the spread of moss and invasive choking plants such as Typha.
At the far edge of the property, where the grass resumes to be knee high and the debris of nature litter the ground, rests a small hatch which leads underground. Surrounding this steel hatch are wards and alarms of all kinds which keep it sealed tightly. Faisil himself deems this to be off limits, and encourages those who wish to take a peak to think otherwise for their own safety.
The One Rule
Because of the peaceful nature of the land, the Silver Helm has one very simple rule to follow:
Bringing weapons to bear in an aggressive manner against another patron without legitimate cause is grounds for being removed from the establishment by force. The Silver Helm only supports bringing arms to bear against external threats that the owner has deemed Kill on Sight. All other offenders should be reported to Faisil immediately.
[Also follow the ToS, don't be a child, etc.]
