Welcome to Gaia! ::

The woman knitted her brow, giving the man an odd look. “The life of the Earth? He said that? …. Heh, so you feel somewha’ inferior? Don’ worry, it happens to even the best. Well…” She paused, reaching beneath her blindfold to scratch her temple. “Hm… Look, I can’t give you any words t’ live on or an’thing like that… All I can say is keep trying, and it’ll come full circle even’ually.”

Looking back to Sion and hearing his remark, Emori shook her head with a grimace. “No. No’ anymore, at least… I’m jus’ a healer with a few extra tricks now.”
Turning her head even further, she saw someone else enter. “… ‘ey there.” She said with a smile, trying to lighten her own mood.
Jasmine walked down from her room and sighed softly. Taking a seat someplace, she crossed her legs and looked around at the people before she stared out the window.
((In the assumption that the night ended eventlessly from there on out, with Arcanis insisting to Sion that he was nothing like his Master, save their Casting Style.)) Arcanis sat at the same table as Jasmine. His cloak showing the Virgo constellation as he took a rest across from her. His staff turned into the white crystal that it truly was and he deposited it into his pocket, sighing as he leaned forward. He was feeling confident for once, which was a truly rare sight."Well, hello there, Miss Jasmine. How are you tonight?"
Jasmine looked at Arcanis and sighed a little.
"I'm okay I guess. I just tried to move on with my life and I got set back. Now Xion is everywhere in my head." she said as she crossed her arms and looked at the table.
"I miss him."
He leaned forward and frowned a little inspite of himself. His voice was low, but comforting as he thought of something to say to her to help alieviate the stress."Master always used to say that there was no such thing as Fate, only Destiny. You can escape any situation, but the end result will always be the same. You cannot escape your destiny. Perhaps Master Xio knew that his Destiny was to die in order to protect all of us from something. That was what he always did...He protected the weak, he protected us. He was a hero and a legend, but even heroes have to die someday. He lived a very long time, Jasmine, and he was tired. Very tired,as well as broken, torn from the fact that he couldn't exist without bringing Chaos to the realms of the Multiverse." He realized that he was rationalizing Xio's death for himself more than for her, putting together pieces of the puzzle that had never fallen into place before.
Jasmine looked at him and then looked away.
"I don't care. I want him to be here with me. I thought he wanted the same thing. But he was so fixated on his death that he probably didn't want that either. I was just some stupid game to him." she said as she took the crystal out of her pouch and set it on the table.
"I highly doubt Master saw the Multiverse's inevitable destruction as a game, Miss Jasmine. He was more serious than that...However, he understood something that we may never quite grasp. He was a mysterious being, the Master. He knew things tha noone else could ever hope to comprehend. I'm sure that he had a good reason for his sacrifice, my lady...whatever it was."
Jasmine shook her head.
"He had no reason." she said. "Quit standing up for him. I should have never fallen in love with him. I knew it was nevr meant to be and I knew I would hurt this much afterwards to the point I don't want to stay on this earth.
The night had lasted for far too long, Emori figured as she slowly started down towards the main room. She had long since been awake, still brooding over the caliber of individuals residing at the inn. It was puzzling to her, but she didn’t say anything out of courtesy.

She stopped her movement down the stairs suddenly, hearing two prominent and familiar voices out of the small crowd. Hearing a few of the choice words to be able to pick out that they were talking of a death, she decided to stay in her spot while still concealed by the walls, not wanting to waltz right into a very uncomfortable situation.

((Pfff I wanted to rp a little bit, but Em really isn't the type to go "HAY GUIZ SO UR TALKIN BOUT PEOPLE DYIN THAT'S COOL. 8D"
Also, your signature got edited fast there, Arc. :T))
Arcanis sighed, relenting in his attempts to console the goddess."My dear Jasmine, he was a valiant man with a noble heart. He would not hurt you without just cause. His passing was something that could not be avoided, so he embraced it. You must realize this. Also, you must listen...listen to the crystal. You might find something in the soft thrum of magic that you recognize." He took the crystal between two fingers and leaned across the table, dangling it near her ears. The soft thrum almost sounded like a voice...His voice."Irinnium Flux Crystals capture the memories of their owners, and Xio wore this crystal for years. Perhaps...it will help you understand why he left you, and how much he regreted the pain he knew his death would cause for you." He was almost in a trance, a faint blue glow radiating from under his sleeves.
((Yeah, I know right? lol))
Jasmine took the crystal from him and ran her hand across it, before sighing.
"I just wish I could have heard that he loved me before he died or that I could tell him. He never knew. The last time he saw me I was with child and with someone else, but I still loved him." she said softly. "He didn't know."
"I'm sure he knew. He was strange like that. Sometimes, he could forgive me before I messed up. He was so wierd, yet so incredible. He had several flings over the centuries, but he only ever loved two women. His first wife...and you, his precious Mizz Jasmine. The reason he died, the reason he's gone, is because he wanted to keep you safe, as well as the rest of the world, from the Crimson Hourglass and it's reality warping powers. You are the key, and as such, you could be used to gain access to the Rabbit Hole, as long as the Door remained intact. Master was the Door. That was his Card of Fate; the Door to Heaven. He was always such a stalwart defender of the weak and helpless, I always guessed that it was just about his personality. I never understood that Xio was actually the only link to the Rabbit Hole. As long as he was alive, the Hourglass would never be sealed off, and you would forever be damned to torment from the remaining Marauders." He was lost in the gravity of the situation. Almost so lost that he didn't catch Emori's presence ripple through the Majick.
Jasmine sighed and looked at the crystal.
"I just wish I could have gone with him. I only love him, I can't stop thinking about him. I just wish he was here." she said before she looked at Arcanis and touched his face.
"You are the closest thing I have to him now. I am glad I have someone that who reminds me that he is still kind of here." she said before she kissed his cheek.
His cheeks flushed bright red as he gulped. He almost fell backwards out of his chair and had to fight a nosebleed. He had spent his entire life with his nose stuffed between the 'A long time ago...' and '...happily ever after.' This was the closest that he'd ever been to a woman, no less one as beautiful as Jasmine. He swallowed, fighting the nosebleed harder and tried to regain his composure."I=uh...I, don't really know...what to say..." And for the first time in his logical life, the wizard was at a loss for words.

(( redface Had too. lol))
