An uncomfortable silence settled over the prestigious yet cozy tavern. Shakti shifted her weight from her left foot to her right, wondering why wandering into a strange building had seemed like such a bright idea a minute ago. At least the room was nearly empty; the only other inhabitants were a dark figure draped casually on his barstool, leaning in to listen to another man behind the counter: a rather effeminate being whose skin pigmentation appeared to be just the palest shade of pink. Just as the girl was considering the amount of energy it would take to mumble a polite apology and turning tail to leave, the pink-haired man's puzzled expression warmed into a maternal smile. Images, textures, sensations came to mind: those of tender embraces, mugs of warm chicken broth before bed, and soft hands running a comb gently through her hair.

"Oh! Welcome to The Elephant Gun!" Their eyes met for only the briefest of moments before a HISSS! SIZZLE! FSHHH! interrupted the server's friendly welcome. Alarmed, his eyes darted to the stove behind him; after a quick save he was more than happy to tip the contents of the sputtering pan into an ornately decorated dish and sliding it in the direction of the customer.

The bartender regained his composure and started tending to the dark man, beaming as he invited the newcomer to "Come in, come in!" Immediately cracking more eggs into the pan, he made eye contact with his guest once more. "Ah. Coffee? Afraid not. But we do have some tea." Shakti's nose twitched in disappointment, yet she was not too busy making an effort not to gape at the man's peculiar pet to notice that, alas, the aroma of coffee had been nothing more than an illusion. "Have you had breakfast yet?" It took much of her self-control to avert her eyes from the alien creature and murmur, striding closer to the bar and the man behind it, "That sounds lovely, thank you. And no, I have not." Shakti offered him a shy smile.

OoC: Eep! I feel like such a newbie . . . ///blush/// Thank you, I appreciate it. c: I apologize for my poor scenery description; I haven't slept in three days, so I have to read text blocks at least twice in order to register more than every other word. You wouldn't believe how difficult it is to find a decent reference for black anime characters. Ugh.

[[ Bit Lazy to recycle I know <.< But it works ]]

The male had been standing outside the door to the establishment for some time. His eyebrows were curled downwards into a frown and underneath the parasol, which he used to block as much exposure to sunlight as he could, the pale demon idly scratched at his head.

"Right then" He suddenly spoke, his voice rather honey sounding for one with such heritage. Yusa Misaku didn't fit as an 'evil' being, though his natural self did have a habit of coming up every so often, Yusa was simply Yusa. Gentle white locks graced his head, the tinge of red at the roots being the only sign of his natural hair colour.

Closing the parasol, the male stepped into the building, carefully closing the door behind himself, dressed in knee high boots, black leather pants and a red shirt that was allowed to be open freely, the male, who appeared to be in his late twenties if not early thirties tucked the parasol into a loose belt and clipped a leather strap around it. Upon closer inspection one would be able to make out that the parasol was in all essence a fancy scabbard for the males weapon.

Walking through the building and up to the bar counter the male looked about at whomever might be around before sitting down. Placing his hands on the counter he idly began to scratch at the back of his right hand.

She had followed the path for long enough and her feet were getting tired. The sun had finally found it's place within the sky, perhaps around ten in the morning now. The little girl couldn't remember the last time she had had a decent meal or even a bed that didn't consist of twigs and leaves. In all honesty, the young girl, who could not be more than four feet tall, could not remember when the last tome she had slept indoors! Two solid dark eyes, like two brilliant marbles in her violet toned face, lifted from the path to the old building before her in the shallow distance. A smile of relief came to her youthful face as he pulled the bunny-eared hood closer around her face.

With that pale cyan and pink bunny hoody and puffy dark green skirt reaching her knees, one could rightly assume that she could be no older than ten years. Upon her back was a black and green bunny backpack that held most of what she needed but as she grew closer to the large inn, her stomach started to complain.

"Shhh tummy... we'll find something here hopefully..." And with that, the small violet skinned girl ascended the front stairs but paused for a moment in hesitation. Penny yanked on one of those bunny ears in uncertainty, her feet shifting one over the other. She began to second guess her self if this really was a good idea.

Had it not been for Yusa's incredibly acute senses he would have completely ignored the unusual feeling emanating from the door he had recently entered. Not in any of his three to four millenia had he sensed whatever was outside the door and in some ways it unnerved him a trifle.

Stopping the scratching of his hand he idly turned towards the door. His red eyes seeming to try and see through at whatever had caught his attention. Lightly gripping at umbrella with his left hand he tilted his head slightly wondering if anyone else had sensed this phenomenon.

Taking a deep breath, she held it as her cheeks puffed up like a chipmunk before lifting her hand and pushing open the door and sheepishly looking inside. Slipping her body into the door though the door, she looked left, then right, not seeing anyone, but as soon as she close the door behind her and lifted her gaze to in front of her, there sat a man with crimson eyes staring at her. Great. Just what she had been trying to avoid.

But her insecurities were quickly drowned out but another grumble of her stomach. Her lips pulled into a juvenile pout as she placed a hand upon her stomach as if that would silence it. Hunger was more of a stronger feeling than her bashfulness at the moment, so, she began to walk towards the bar, her black and green tennis shoes making very little sound against the hard wood.

Once reaching the bar, she turned to look up at the crimson eyed man from beneath her bunny hood. She was just tall enough for her nose to reach the edge of the bar.

Yusa continued to flick his eyes in the direction of the unusual 'creature'. His eyes taking in every detail he possibly could. She certainly had no feeding properties about her that would spark the porphyric hemophillia inside of himself. Instead she seemed like a child. Wasn't very tall, four foot at best, but most of all her attire was most unusual. Then again with painted black nails and the multitude of scars that adorned his body, along with the many gruesome tattoos of wild creatures, he wasn't exactly what could be considered normal either.

As she stood next to the bar he found it almost amusing as she only measure up to the bar with her nose. "I don't think anyone is coming" He spoke to the girl eventually. At least he assumed it was a girl. Looking towards his nails he began to inspect them before he picked at them lightly with his other hand.

"Oh..." A frown pulled on her deep violet lips and reached up to curl her tiny fingers over the edge of the bar before standing on her tippy toes to try and peer over the bar top. There was nothing of her appetite behind the bar, maybe the wistfully colored liquids in the bottles were juice or something. Penny turned her attention back to the man riddled with scars and ink as she tilted her head some.

"Has anyone been here at all?" She ask rather pathetically. It felt as if her stomach was starting to eat itself.

"Other than myself... no. I recently got here myself." He said before lifting his hand to his hair to lightly tossle the white hair. "If you don't mind me saying so. You don't look old enough to be into alcohol. What are you doing here?" Yusa questioned before turning in his seat so he faced the female rather than straining his neck to look at her.

In his demonic eyes she seemed remarkably fragile and somewhat weakening. As though she just about spent on energy. Frowning a little bit he awaited the females response, if she had one for him that is.

A woman of slightly short height with shocking, long red hair and rich amber colored eyes suddenly entered the establishment. She stood in the door way, taking a moment to scan her amber hues around the room. Upon seeing a man of unknown race and a much smaller...person she blinked, then walked towards the bar to take a seat.

She glanced over at the two of them and offered a quick, warm smile, then placed her elbow on the surface of the bar top. With a yawn she leaned forward, resting her chin in the palm of her hand while using her free hand to rustle her wild main of thick red hair sleepily. If it wasn't for the fact that she had just come from outside one might think she had just stumbled out of bed.
Hanging off the back of her left shoulder was a gray cat with a tiny body and a massive head with beady little black eyes. It look comical almost, like it was straight out of some cartoon.

"This place seems pretty dead"

The redhead stated suddenly, as if trying to make small talk with whomever cared to respond. She was thirsty, and tired from her travels, but had just spent quite a long time by herself and felt like socializing. You know, with something or someone other than a cat.

Yusa glanced towards the newcomer, but most of all to the feline with its comical appearance. Deciding now was not the time to get offended at the creatures presence, which had clearly not noticed nor bothered to care about the males species, he instead turned to the fire-y coloured female.

"I wouldn't personally say dead. Un-manned most definately. I'm almost tempted to do the job for them" He mused before running his tongue across the edge of his drying lips to re hydrate them if only for a few moments.

Hearing a response from the male the redhead removed her head from the palm of her hand and sat up straight, then turned to face him with a chuckle. He seemed to be just as thirsty as she was.

"I was just thinking the same thing"

She replied before suddenly hopping off of the stool and vaulting herself over the bar top. she took a moment to retrieve two clean glasses, then returned her focus to the man.

"What can I get you?"

She asked with a cheeky smirk. Clearly she had no patience to wait for the staff to return nor did she seem to mind doing their job for them. Hell, she didn't even need to get payed.

OoC: Thulu does not have a pet octopus. He IS the octopus. So up to this point of the story no one know's he is alien. Sorry for the confusion.

Also. Welcome everyone!
