Mags sighed and sat on the stairs starring off into space. Rage deserved an answer, but she had questions of her own. She closed her eyes with a sigh and shook her head. Andy came and plopped beside her.
“hey sis,” he called gently, Mags looked up at him and smiled.

“Hey,” he she replied, Andy reached to stroke a strand behind her ear, she nuzzled his hand gently.

“What does your heart say to do?” he asked, she shook her head.

“My heart doesn’t know,” she admitted and glanced up at the flight of stairs. “I wish Raynn were here, or Saukra, someone to tell me it’s the right choice, or that I’m completely insane for this,” she said glumly and rested her chin on her hand. Andy put his arm around her shoulders and pulled her close. He stroked her hair and watched her starting to relax. He kissed her forehead, and picked her up carrying her to her room.

“I’ll tell Raynn to see you when I see her,” he assured her, and Mags nodded in her sleep before he tucked her in.

Sakura sighs softly as they wonder through the woods. They were getting farther and farther from the tavern as they went. "Kai...we should just tur..." She stops dead as a familiar scent hits her nose, it was Andromeda's scent. Her heart skips a beat as she smiles. "Kaiser...They're this way!" She turns in the the direction the scent is going, heading towards the border of the protective spell, stopping short as she almost crosses it. "Oh goddess...they crossed...they aren't protected anymore...anything could happen to them out there.." Worry starts to cloud her vision as she steps back, shaking her head.


Andromeda Amelia Ryusaki

Gripping Autumns hand, Andromeda follows her back towards the tavern. Everything seemed to be going just fine until she picked up her mothers scent. She stops short of where they were going and shakes her head. "We can't go that way...My mom's over there.... We will get in trouble and wont be able to give this to daddy.." She holds the stone out as it pulses a few times, radiating its power around the girls

Kaiser blinks, rubbing the back of his head once Sakura informed him of the protective spell and grabs hold of her hand. "Well we won't find out if anything has happened if we just stand here. Besides, I have faith in those two." He poked at Sakura's forehead twice. "Andy comes from some smart genes....Auttie too. Let's go get them. And if anything happens, get behind me... I don't want anything to get near any of you girls..."

Rage wanders into the room, still pretending to lean heavily on his cane. He sighs and looks around the dining room. “Anybody in here?” He pauses his steps, listening for a reply. He had thought it odd that everyone had been absent for a while. Where was Sakura and Kaiser, and where was Raynn and his kids? He frowns as worry crosses his expression. He hoped they were ok. He sighs and stumbles to a chair, sitting down painfully. He hadn't quite regained full motion yet.

He frowns as he reclines back. He couldn't help but feel that something bad was going to happen.

It was at about this point that the angel was leading Raynn down the stairs. As soon as his gaze met them and saw Raynn, he frowned. Something was up. He had seen that look before whenever she tried to bottle something. He stands up and hobbles over, worry in his eyes as he reaches out to help her. "What's wrong?" ((editted))

Sakura nods a few times as Kaiser's grip tightens on her own and he leads her forward. Atreyu had done a magnificent job on the barrier that kept them safe and out of harms way, and as soon as she exited the safety of the wards Sakura could feel the weight of the world upon her shoulders once more. Stopping for a second she takes a minute to look back towards the tavern, hoping Jude would be okay in their absence. She lets out a deep breath before starting forward once more. They would find the girls, she hoped, before it was too late. There was a feeling of unease settling upon her.

Andy was making his way down, behind Raynn and the angel. He heard Rage’s question and decided to point out Mags’s wish to speak with her. He reached the bottom of the stairs and studied Rage for a moment. he didn’t quite know what to make of the man. “He tilted his head to one side and headed into the kitchen giving them a chance to talk in private. With a sigh he moved to the coffee pot, he’d spent all of his life looking after his baby sister, protecting her from the fall outs of her stupid choices and now… he had a feeling that had done more harm than good. She seemed to be under the belief that she could do whatever she pleased without consequence. He shook his head and thought back to how quick he’d been to intervene, he still didn’t trust Rage, but maybe it was time to let Mags fall and scrape her knees up, maybe that would teach her. Either way he knew if nothing else, he didn’t want to be babysitting her tonight. He was a young, single, bi male, who hadn’t had “Fun” with a woman in a few months a fact that pained him. He decided to go down to the town tonight, there had to be an inn, and there had to be a way to rectify those needs. He nodded and decided to look tonight for a lady in the street, but a freak in the bed. He smiled at the quote with a nod and sipped the coffee he’d made with a smile.

Atreyu glanced with is iridescent eyes to Rage, recognition flaring in his eyes. Ah yes, the troubled man that stumbled upon the doorstep of his village. The angel wondered for a moment the true extent of his and Raynn's relationship, but repented the thought quickly. It was none of his business; only his own and the barrier is what concerned him. Atreyu stood with his shoulders squared just a few steps away from where Raynn and Rage sat, a stoic look on his face. He studied the other man: his movements, his facial reactions, and the tone in his voice. There was an eerie feeling that still came off of his aura; like the demon part of him had yet to be eradicated.

Blinking her cloudy eyes, Raynn turned her head to find that Rage was all of a sudden next to her. Her mind was in a haze in her bloodlust as her gaze met his worried one. Her voice was hoarse as she spoke to him, the crimson specks in her eyes twinkling in the available morning light. "I should have told you many things long ago, but I didn't think they mattered then," she began. Raynn tilted her head downward, unable to look into his eyes.

Atreyu bent his head to Raynn and whispered gently to her, "I will bring you a glass. I'll be just a moment." Once Raynn nodded her thanks, the angel stood straight again and paced into the kitchen to pour a glass of blood for Raynn.

"Rage, you shared your past with me, and it would be unfair to not to return the favor, especially since it concerns Ezra," Raynn continued. Her hands were set shakily on her lap, gripping the fabric of her dress lightly, as her eyes focused on a crack in the floor. "Do you remember the Chief's words last night?" As she waited for Rage's reply, Atreyu paced quickly across the room to where Raynn sat near the fire and handed her the glass of blood, which the vampiress took gratefully.

Autumn's grip on her little sister's hand tightened as she mentioned Sakura. A light frown appeared on her face, flushing her face slightly. After all of the trouble that the two girls went through, they couldn't get caught now! No, they had to take the long way around to the tavern. The six year old led Andromeda to a trail through the woods, in the complete opposite direction that they came from. If Auntie Sakura was following them, it was better to not trail backwards; it makes more sense to go forward. Autumn didn't run, since her legs were longer than Andy's, but kept the pace to be quite fast.

"Umm, I think the tavern's this way," Autumn mumbled as she slowed down to a walk. A small voice in her head warned her of the barrier; Raynn always told her it was the blood of her father that it came from. Lo and behold, there it was, just a few feet away. Its radiating aura caught her attention and she blinked her ocean blue eyes. The darkness inside the black gem urged her forward. "Andy.." she said suddenly. Autumn was changing her mind; the way that the voice told her to do things scared her. She was very afraid.

As soon as Autumn's hand touched the barrier, it instantly repelled her away with a crackle of energy. She let out a loud yelp and yanked her hand away, the tips of her fingers blistering. Tears from the pain emerged from her eyes and poured down her cheeks.

Try again.

"No! It hurts! I don't want to!" Autumn screamed, her eyes wide with fear. A wave of darkness pulsated from the dark gem in Andromeda's hand, brimming with evil, and reached Autumn. Instantly, from the tip of her fingers, began to turn deathly pale. Again, Autumn screamed as the evil inside the gem began to take her body, inch by inch.

With his coffee fixed Andy moved back into the main room and glanced around. He saw Rage and Raynn sitting close, and though he wondered what their story was as well, he didn’t think it was something to warrant a threat to his sister. She wasn’t someone to warrant a threat to his sister. She seemed to trust Raynn and Saukra more than anyone else, he wouldn’t believe they would of let it get that far knowing she had feelings for Rage (which was obvious) if either stood as a threat to her happiness. Andy believed in the goodness of Man for the most part and refused to believe that was an option.

Lost in his thinking he’d tuned out of what they were saying, not that it was of his concern anyway. He glanced at the food, Mags’s plate was mostly untouched, and he rose moving to it, it was going cold but not so much so that it couldn’t be salvaged, then he noticed the man who stood beside Raynn, not Rage the other one. He felt a definite connection, and his nights with Lucien flashed though his mind. He chased them away knowing the man would never be interested in his touch, and besides he wanted a woman’s touch tonight. With that in mind he tore his gaze away from him, he was so beautiful it was heart breaking and the things he could of done to the man flashed through his mind. Not appropriate, not gonna happen, he chided himself and started to wrap up his sister’s dish.

Rage frowns and nods. “Yeah, I remember. It was quite an illuminating listen.” He sits in front of her, his gaze not leaving her face as he tried to read her emotions. “It's not exactly how I wanted to hear about pieces of your past though. Anything I should know now? And what does this have to do with Ezra?” He was running through a whole flurry of emotions: anger, concern, fear, and curiosity, to name a few. His grip on the side of the chair tightens.

Again, the feeling of dread runs across his mind. He waived it off as nervousness for what news Raynn would have to say. He didn't know anything he had heard last night about Raynn, and it made him wonder what other secrets she was keeping. However, he would not pry about it.

Andromeda Amelia Ryusaki

Andromeda screams as Autumn's skin begins to change colors. She wanted to stop and run the other way but not matter how much she tried her feet would not move. The girl still held the gem tight in her hand, pressed against her leg. There was nothing she could do now but scream. She screams as loud as she possibly can, wishing she could run through the barrier and up to her room but it wouldn't let them through. The only choice they had was to stand here and wait for Sakura to find them. The evil from the gem pulsates around the two girls, Autumn's skin growing paler by the second as it made its way up her body. Opening her hand, Andromeda wonders if dropping the gem will let them through and stop whatever was happening to her sister. She blinks a few times as panic starts to wash over her. Her hand was open but the gem wouldn't fall. It seemed to be melded to her hand. Andromeda starts to cry silent tears as she pulls her hand away from the gem. It wasn't melded to her hand...it was sinking into her leg. Light a fire in your heart and you can go anywhere in the world

Mags yawned and stretched in her bed. The nap had made things clearer in most areas but nowhere near clear enough in the area of Rage. She sighed and swung her legs over the side rubbing her forehead before rising and heading into the bathroom. Out of the nightgown and into the shower after which she emerged simply in a pair of jeans and halter top. She moved back to her room and brushed her hair out. she sighed and tried to figure out what to do. She still wanted Rayne’s take on all this, she wanted to hear that it would be a smart choice or a bad one, but she doubted she’d be able to have it. This was ultimately her choice and she needed to stop acting like a little b***h and make it. With a nod she decided she was going to take a chance. It could end up horribly, or the best choice she’d ever made. She hoped for the latter and expected the former. She rose and pulled her hair into the customary pink pony tail and headed down into the inn. First one she spotted was her brother, he was putting the food away.

“hey,” she called softly, he smiled at her.

“heya sis,” he replied and returned to cleaning.

“I’m gonna take a chance on him,” she admitted as she crossed the floor to help him.” Andy tensed and didn’t speak, simply nodded.

“I hope you find all you’ve waited for,” he said honestly and met her eyes making it clear that he also thought that he was going to break her heart in the end. She drew a shuttering breath but didn’t reply to the look, simply she said.

An illuminating listen was right. Raynn knew that Rage had the right to be upset with her. Still, Raynn thought that her past was behind her and gave up on ever seeing the land of Uleine ever again. All that she did was wish to go back and picture it in her mind, clear as day. Until Vivica suddenly appeared with a few of the Guard protecting her and informing her of her instructions and the rewards if she succeeded. Out of the blue, her past came back to haunt her. And now, after succeeding in birthing Vivica's son safely, their line is safe and Raynn was rewarded in a way that she never would have expected. Her banishment lifted? Her wrongs forgiven?

A light sigh escaped Raynn's lips as the silence dragged on. Her hands shook slightly with the glass empty of the blood it contained. Her eyes glanced into Rage's. The words just sputtered out of her mouth; in this sort of thing, it was easier to just be blunt. "Ezra has to leave, by the Chief's command," she said, keeping their gaze as much as she could. Raynn knew what Rage's reaction would be, and that's what she was afraid of. She opened her mouth again to explain, but the words stuck in her throat.
