Raynn glanced down at herself; she was wearing a black tank top and matching sweatpants, with her feet bare, and her hair was a curly mess. She should have certainly thought of at least brushing her hair before coming downstairs, but, coming from Hollidae and Aleksandyr's room, she didn't think about it. Plus the thoughts that surrounded Jude and Sakura do her morning rituals. Though her body didn't reflect her exhaustion, Raynn envisioned dark circles under her tired eyes if she was still alive. She leaned against the counter and took the glass filled with blood into her slender hands and crossed her arms.

"Excellent work, my dear girl," the vampiress replied in a tired voice as her foot crossed the other gracefully. Truly, she was happy that Mags pitched in. To reply to her, Raynn shook her head and quickly took a long sip of her blood. After a moment, she took a light breath and removed the glass from her lips. The blood was gone; Raynn had drank it all at once, something that she had never done. Her sky-blue eyes had a faraway look for a second, but she blinked it away as she remembered Mags. "I'll get them up and ready. You cooked, that's plenty to do." She glanced to the empty blood bag and relented; she needed more. Setting the glass down with a sigh, she started to the door, but glanced back to Mags. "Is there something on your mind?" It was more of an observation, really. Raynn thought that Mags was who her eldest, Ezra, would grow up to be like, and began to think of her as a dear friend. If she wanted to talk, she could. If not, Raynn wouldn't pry.

she smiled sadly, and shook her head running a hand through her hair. "I can't stop thinking of Monty," she admitted, "I just.. haven't seen him in a while," she shrugged casually. "but it's no big deal, guys come and go, like Rage did." she turned to get plates down to set the table. What was on her mind was she was hoping Monty would be different from Rage, now she wasn't so sure about that. But she kept her mouth shut and began to set the table. "it's really nothing to trouble yourself over," she continued and smiled a sad smile. "Just a guy," She chuckled gently, she also wasn't going to talk about the white tiger she'd hallucinated. Instead she glanced at herself in the metal counter top, she looked put together, her hair was up in a pony tail, and her clothes were ironed. She nodded approvingly at her reflection.

"You should get the kids, before it gets cold,"
she suggested and began to carry the plates to the table. she knew what she'd have to do, she'd have to harden her heart to men, twice hurt in a span of a few months... she really needed to grow up.

Raynn listened to Mags and began to pick her words wisely. She'd been in the same situation more than once herself, but Mags was very different from Raynn. A light smile graced the vampiress' light pink lips. Her face softened with the memories that haunted her sky-blue eyes as she gazed at the younger woman. "I see. As you say, my dear." Raynn wasn't one to pry, unless one needed to learn the answer to a necessary question. Especially on situations such as this one, where she believed that it would work itself out eventually. Nodding to Mags in response to getting the kids up and ready, she walked up the stairs while running her slender fingers through her crimson hair, which was still a curly mess. While the children were getting dressed, Raynn figured that she would get ready for the day as well.

Lightly humming a song that had been stuck in her head, Raynn almost danced up the stairs. Her feet landed gracefully on each step and she twirled once or twice on her way to the third floor, where the children had their rooms. A whimsical smile appeared on her lips and her face glowed, giving her face a youthful look. The song was actually from a music box that she had when she was a girl, but it was destroyed with everything else of the Efenri Tribe. How she longed to hear its song again.. Perhaps, someday, she would have someone make the same thing; maybe a music box for each of her children, for when she would pass on into the afterlife and they could hear the song and remember her, as she remembered her family as she listened to song in her mind.

Raynn approached Ezra's and Autumn's room and opened the door to find Autumn sitting in her bed, fully dressed and her hair brushed, holding her teddy bear tightly in her arms. Arching her eyebrows in confusion, Raynn glanced to Ezra's bed: she was still sleeping, though she turned as her mother opened the door. She would wake soon. Turning her full attention to her daughter, Raynn knelt in front of Autumn and gazed into her ocean blue eyes. "Autumn? What's wrong?" The six year old shook her head and leaned her head on her mother's shoulder, her body shaking. She smelled fear coming off of the girl. Wrapping her arms around her daughter, she held her and let out a light sigh.

[ Keep in mind of the size twelve rule, Mags. Please and thank you. :3 ]

Mags nodded and watched her go with a tight smile.yeah, it'll work out," she assured herself, debating heavily if she should drink some tequila, or vodka, something strong enough to make her stresses go away. Then with a sigh she reasoned it wouldn't be good to be drunk in front of the kids. She'd been careful to clean as she went and she smiled around the room with a satisfied nod before heading to the dining hall. She smiled and sat down in her seat contemplating things. "Just gotta move on and toughen up," she looked up the stairs waiting for everyone to trickle down, she felt her stomach rumble and smiled longingly at the food, still her breeding made her hold off on digging in until the others were there too.

Raynn continued to hold her daughter until the little girl pulled away. Her ocean blue eyes were filled with mysteries that her mother could not penetrate, and was somewhat confused; they seemed to be wise beyond her six years of life. As quickly as Raynn had seen it, Autumn blinked it away. Just then, Ezra began to stir behind Raynn. Catching Raynn's attention, Raynn stood and turned with a comforting and warm hand on Autumn's shoulder. Ezra blinked her honey-colored eyes and rubbed them gently, glancing to her mother and sister. "Oh, morning, Momma," she mumbled and sat up. Raynn swiftly glanced to Autumn, whom gave her a light smile. I'm alright,, her eyes said. "Good morning, dearest. Can you get ready for the day? Mags made breakfast." The seven year old nodded and yawned.

Raynn smiled gently at her daughters and looked at Autumn. "If you like, you can get a head start of breakfast." Autumn's smile continued as she hugged Raynn's hip and stood. "I'll see you two downstairs!" she called as she ran out of the room and her bare feet pattered down the wooden staircase. Chuckling lightly, Raynn turned to Ezra as she stood in the doorway. "I'll be right down. I still have the twins to dress." Ezra nodded in acknowledgement and Raynn left, only to take a few steps to the door of Holli and Aleks' room.

Autumn made her way downstairs, her smile growing in giddy delight as she smelled the food at the end of the stairs. Her ocean blue eyes sparkled once she was in the door way of the kitchen. "Wow! The food smells delicious!" the young girl said as she set her hands on the island in the middle of the large kitchen, taking in the sensations that the food gave off.

Atreyu could tell that Rage wasn't completely comfortable sleeping in his home. The man could've been a lot more trustworthy towards the blonde; if he was going to do anything, he would have done it before he even set one foot inside the village's gates. Atreyu couldn't tell if Rage was underestimating or overestimating his abilities, but, either way, Rage would have to stay with him. Whether or not his sleep would be fitful, Atreyu needed his sleep and would be unable to navigate the Maiden's Path in the dark. It was almost beyond his abilities; after all, the angel was considered young in the ranks of his fellows. Technically, the job to watch over the village was one that wasn't too important, but one never new when the Dark One would return, and Atreyu would have to alert the higher ups to deal with him. So, all in all, Atreyu was just a babysitter of the townsfolk, which suited him just fine.

Opening one eye to Rage, he replied softly, "Patience, my dear fellow. I'm assuming where you retrieved your namesake, if I may be so bold. Trust me, all is well with the children and Miss Raynn, Sakura, and young Mags, as well. Sleep well, and you'll see your family in the morn." Closing his eye, Atreyu turned away from him. He had avoided Rage's question deliberately again; it was one that he didn't wish to answer. Weaknesses tended to catch up with someone eventually.

                                                                        [ Timeskip ]

The sun had already arisen, and Atreyu was awake as soon as it had touched the horizon. He glanced to the sleeping man that he'd just met the day before, Rage, and studied him momentarily. His face was lined and hardy, showing a life of strife and vigor. Atreyu could guess the moments that Rage had lived and feared, but most of them appeared on the man's face. The angel couldn't underestimate him; the runes from the book he carried and the strange albeit familiar aura that he carried kept his interest. Those eyes of his, as well.. He remembered when Raynn and the group appeared in Exhadian for the first time, and looking in those same eyes. It was one of her daughters; Autumn, he guessed. And there was another little girl.. He couldn't remember; it had already been a while since he had last visited. Alas, the other reason that he wished to rest was so that he would travel to the Devil's Hollow with Rage and visit. He would check on the barriers and angelic runes to be sure that they still worked.

Atreyu stood and stretched. It would be a long day, he figured. He donned a deep purple long-sleeved shirt that showed his collar bone and a pair of dark jeans, completely different from the wear of the villagers. The angel was always the stranger sort of his race; he enjoyed life's pleasures, sinful and otherwise. He kept with modern times and varied in his views of tradition, but always stuck with his work loyally. He wore a pair of sturdy shoes for his feet and his gold bracelet that was engraved with the angelic runes, for protection. He combed through his hair with his fingers and tousled it in the way he usually has it. He waited patiently for Rage to rise and get ready for the hike up the Maiden's Path. Just in case, Atreyu put some things he would need if he were to stay a few days at the Devil's Hollow: a few extra clothes, food, literature, his communication device, among others. Once his satchel was over his shoulder, Atreyu turned to Rage to see if he was ready to leave.

, sit, as soon as the others join us we will eat. she assured the girl with a fake grin. She wore a pair of gray sweats and pink camisole which set off well her pink hair which she'd tossed into a messy pony tail. had she known she'd be seeing Rage soon she might of paid more attention to her outfit, but considering it was just breakfast with the girls, and Kaiser? She didn't really care. She turned to the girl with a wide smile, "pull up a chair," she continued and stayed in the place she usually sat. "But we're not gong to start serving until everyone else is down,"she explained and looked around the room waiting for the others to join them.

She thought of what she'd do after breakfast, she needed to straighten her room a bit, then she figured she'd go for a horse back ride. She smiled thinking of the freedom atop Beauty. She chuckled after breakfast she'd go take a shower, before starting on her list of things to do that day she smiled at the girl "So what are your plans for today, Autumn?"she mused waiting for her response.

Rage had woken up to the sounds of Atreyu's packing. He yawned and stretched. As expected, he hadn't slept well at all. All night he had been tormented by nightmares of demons and deaths from his past. He sighs, using the time to gather his gear. He was waiting for Atreyu to finish, as he had very little to bring. "How far is it to the tavern?" He wasn't asking because he was impatient. He was mainly asking to know how long he would have to come up with what to say. “Have they...said anything about me? Anything from the kids?” He was honestly scared of the answer. He knew he didn't show it well, but his family meant everything to him. All sorts of emotions were flickering across his features. He hadn't been able to keep his emotions in check since his rediscovery of his past. “When do we leave?”

Kaiser sat outside the front door of the tavern with a crutch at his side. He smiled as he looked at the sky with a chipper grin on his face. He looked at the small basket he made, weaving more and more as time passed like the wind. He sighed and the comfort and winced at his wound up left foot. He had suffered a dislocation sometime in his travels, his ankle to be more specific. He lifted his leg slowly before opening a void under his leg, a pillow soon rising from it and just as soon as the pillow was completely out of the void.
"Ahh...better.." He smiled and stopped weaving for a minute, leaning his head against the wall and gazing aimlessly at the sky above.
"I should take it easy....I am getting pretty darn old...." He said, with a giggle.

Sitting in her room, Jude cradled in her arms, Sakura stares down at the child. She hadn't seen Kaiser in a few days and staring at Jude was the closest she was able to come to seeing him. Closing her eyes and looking up, her head meeting the wall behind her. "Come on Sakura... don't do this to yourself.. Don't get down because you haven't seen him." She couldn't do the same thing to herself that she did with Rage, let it get to her. Standing up she cradles Jude in her arms figuring she would head down to the tavern and see what's going on and who's around. She really wanted to walk to town to get some things but she knew Raynn would murder her if she went alone.

Closing her door slowly she turns away from her room, letting the memories flood over her. Stepping down the stairs she listens for any noises from below noting a presence.

Raynn gently shook Holli and cooed to her to wake her up. The five year old opened her gray eyes, blinking sleepily. She rubbed her eyes gently. "Come on, sweetheart, time to get up. Mags has breakfast on the table. Can't you smell it?" Holli was always the hardest to wake up in the morning. Kailyr was always better at getting her up, even as a one year old. He had the magic touch with her; he always did. The little girl groaned as her little brother sat at the end of her bed. Wearing his baby blue, long-sleeved baby blue shirt and a pair of jeans, Aleks put on his socks swiftly and walked over to Holli's bed. She was turned away from them on her side. Raynn let out a soft sigh of frustration and shook Holli again. Aleks leaned over to her with a smile on his lips. "Holli, wake up, please," he whispered, and continued in a made-up language that only he and and his twin would know. Raynn had been avid that they speak English, and only in their language to themselves. For the longest time over a year ago, it was the only thing that they spoke. Raynn kissed her twin's foreheads and walked over to Hollidae's wardrobe to pick out her clothes, including her underclothes and socks, and left them on the chest at the end of her bed. She said to Aleks, "Keep trying to wake her up, dearest. I'll be right back." Aleks nodded as she walked out of the room and closed the door.

Raynn walked up the stairs to her own suite to change out of her clothes. She knew that she had to go out today and get a few things. Making a mental note to ask Sakura if she needed anything, Raynn stripped out of her sweatpants and wife beater and threw them into the laundry basket. She slipped on her underclothes and a pair of dark jeans. Raynn chose to wear a deep blue sweater with a black, laced spaghetti-strap shirt underneath. Her hands swiftly brushed her curly hair and set them into pig tails to go over her shoulder, draping over her chest. Setting a bit of blush over her eyelids and on her cheeks, making herself looking a bit more alive than she was, Raynn left her room and walked back down the stairs to check on her youngest daughter. She looked in to see that Holli was up and almost dressed. Smiling, she closed the door and went to Sakura's room. She leaned against the doorway and her arms crossed as she watched her friend hold her newborn son. "I'm sorry for how I was acting. I just.. I worry." She paused and lightly sighed. "I was planning on going into town today. Is there anything that you need, vallabha?"

Autumn looked up to Mags with a smile and nodded, no matter how much she wanted to eat then and there. She followed Mags to the lobby and sat next to the woman, her petite hands on her lap. Her ocean blue eyes sparkled as she replied, "Momma said that she was going to train Ezzie some more with her inner wolf, but she promised to show me more of the piano when she was done! I think she said that she was gonna see Mister Attie, too!" Autumn loved nicknames. Once she met Atreyu Trenali, the Watcher of the small Exhadian, he was immediately claimed as Attie. Being six, some words were hard to pronounce, but Attie was perfect for her instead of remembering his elaborate name. Autumn leaned close to Mags and whispered loudly, "Me and Holli and Aleks were gonna do something, too, but you have to promise to keep it a secret."

He turned his luminescent light green eyes to Rage's own deep blue ones, and held a small smirk on his lips. He was about to answer his question with a joke until Rage continued with his questions. The angel took a few steps toward the man with his hands held up. "Slow down there! All of your questions will be answered momentarily, my dear Rage." He held his finger up to his chin and his smirk grew deeper. "We'll leave right now. Come along, now." Atreyu waved his hand for Rage to follow. Holding the door open, the blonde left the door open for Rage and and closed it behind himself. The clouds hung low that morning, signaling the possibility of snow for later that day.

Atreyu let out a sigh and shook his arms. He began to walk toward the north end of town, smiling and nodding a greeting in return to all those that said good morning to him. The angel glanced back every once in a while to see Rage's progress, albeit he imagined that the man must be upset that Atreyu would blatantly ignore all of his questions. Truly, he was being unfair. Once they were out of the reach of prying ears, he decided, he would answer all the questions that Rage had. Once they reached the gates of the village, Atreyu paused to a man that guarded the entrance. "Be on your guard, Garrett. I'll be gone for a few days. If something happens, you know how to reach me." Garrett nodded and gave him a salute. Atreyu nodded to Rage and led him to a small path in the woods and paused at the entrance. He turned to him, his previous demeanor gone and replaced with calculating eyes and stoic appearance. "Before I bring you over the barrier of the Maiden's Path, I must warn you, Rage. No one will ill intent will pass. This place was meant to be one of peace. Only the strongest of evil would be able to penetrate the barrier, and it's my job to prevent that. Now, answer a question for me: If you yourself are so innocent as to want to see your family, why oh why do I feel the bloodlust of the Dark One himself emanating from you?" Atreyu spoke almost harshly, wondering for a moment if Rage was merely an innocent bystander or willingly carrying someone that belonged to the Dark One in order to get over to the Devil's Hollow.
