She sipped her wine again, looking between Curtis and Anna. She opened her maroon lips to speak but Sophie took the words from her mouth and she watched as the two sauntered off to the dance floor. Vivian took note of the musicians, reminding herself to talk to them after the party, see if they had any openings. She looked back to the bartender with her big blue eyes. "Maybe another glass? For courage." She smiled, gesturing to her half full glass of wine.

Viv took no time at all to finish it off. She found the room to be overcrowded and saw no one she recognized from the office. It was a big pub though, they could be hiding.

"We'll find somewhere to put that down at." He motioned for Ms.Cristou's glass. "And forget what that bar mistress was saying. I will show you we know more than a few steps!" Curtis offered out his hand, and intended to lead Sophie up to the dancing area. "You'll forget all about that silly cousin of yours. Not sure were he wandered off to anyways." He didn't take much time to scan through the crowd for the man, and was too distracted with his new dancing partner. Once in place, he took a proud stance and grinned coyly. Faking a French accent in the call to impress her, he held out his arms and with all the rough charm he could muster, he asked "Shall we, mademoiselle?"

((For the record, I accepted that dance! 3nodding ))
Sophie was outside, enjoying a smoke and the company of a few valets. One was in the middle of telling a joke when a few well dressed bouncers walked over. She felt uncomfortable at the sight but said jokingly, "Come on guys! We are at least 25 feet away from the door, we can't possibly be bothering anyone." The men dismissed her comment and they were all escorted back inside. I don't like the looks of this... All of the guests were in a mini-uproar. She glanced around, looking for a familiar face.

User ImageHer own gasp matched everyone else's after the announcement was made.

She had been conversing with a gentleman near the stage when the bouncer let the cat out of the bag. The room filled with rumored murmurs and ideas of what had happened and who had done it along with the usual 'this is terrible' and 'how could this happen' that were expected. "Murdered?" She finally meekly said, looking at the floor rather than the man she had just been talking to.

Vivian's eyes looked up, taking note of the distressed bar tender, though she was doing a damn good job at hiding her panic, and Sophie re-entering escorted by bouncers. The redhead figured the bartender would be the best to speak with first and so she shoved her way passed the distraught guest, finally reaching her. "What's going on? Are you alright?" She asked, hoping to get more information as well as being truly concerned for the woman.

His slender, well manicured eyebrows lifted in the air somewhat before they went down and knitted almost together. Vee was an interesting woman, had it been any other night and he had been less irritated, Jeff probably would of tried seducing her and talking her into a hotel room.

Checking his watch, he wondered where the man of the hour had been at and why he wasn't speaking to anybody.

Looking at Vee once again, he made a slight humming noise at her comment. "It suuure is... Thanks for getting the bartender," Jeffrey said with a slight smirk to the woman. Getting his type of drink, he spoke with Vee for about a half an hour before excusing himself to the bathroom.

Coming back five minutes after excusing himself, he went back to Vee and sat down next to her again and idly discussed with her about the host of the party for awhile before the bartender suddenly came back and announced the biggest shock of all.

His blue eyes widened in surprise before he looked over at the woman, "holy s**t. This is just great. Perfect way to spend a party. I need to be more drunk. Excuse me! Miss! Bartender, helloooooooo. I need more scotch please!" He called to the bartender while his tail twitched angrily.

After a drink and some small talk she felt that Jeff was loosening up a little. When he came back from the restroom she continued to speak with him and just when she was about to make her move the announcement came. Favio was dead. Thank goodness I have an alibi, was the first thing to mind before the news even really hit home. “Wait, he’s dead? Just like that?” It was so random that if it weren’t for the way the others were acting she wouldn’t have believed it. She was feeling indifferent before she realized that him being dead meant she got the short end of the stick. “No, he can’t be dead! He still owes me money!” Not to mention a dance! Her plans were seemingly all going down the drain at the same time. With a sigh she turn her attention back to Jeff as he tried to flag down the tender. “I don’t think she’s coming, doll,” she said as she pointed toward the corner the bartender was in. She was taking it pretty hard. “Why couldn’t they have waited until tomorrow to get the old man. I hope he at least left a check in my name…” Though in reality a check was the least of her worries.

Sophie pushed her way to the bar, the only place she hoped to find a familiar face. Pushing through the other guests she could hear their whispers and chatter. She pulled her purse up and dropped it on the bar. "Damnit. I need another cigarette." She seemed either unconcerned or oblivious to the news of Favio's death.

"Oh god. This needs taken care of quickly."
Curtis had been taking a small break by the snack table, and paled with Favio's death was revealed. Perfect. He bit his lip, and merged into the crowd that was growing in the room. "Isn't it best to have the investigation another time?" Curtis asked from the crowd, having trouble speaking over all of the clamoring voices. "I mean, you have the guest list. All of this business, tis rather unnecessary in the grand scheme of things." He was worried he was starting to sound flighty. But who isn't when an a murder has been committed in the building, he thought. "And I don't much mind being held hostage against my will." He said sternly, hoping others would be able to back him up.

User ImageHer fine brows lowered as the woman spoke, feeling empathetic for what she must have witnessed.

A friendly hand came to the other's shoulder in attempts to soothe the spooked Anna. "You poor thing. It's ok. I'm sure this will all get sorted out and whoever has done this will pay." The freckled woman smiled, letting her hand drop back to her side. Inside, the musician was terrified. Who had done it after all? How long would this take?

She hid her fear under a weak smile. "Has someone called the police?" She asked the bartender, trying not to sound like she wanted to rush things.

Staring at the woman as she was clearly having a break down, Jeff felt a little bad before he leaned closer to her and gave her a weak smile. "Okay, I'm sorry that was pretty damn rude of me miss. You doin' alrigh'?" He asked, his voice just a little bit slurred by his somewhat drunk state before the customer sat back and looked over at Vee as she seemed to be having a break down of her own.

Yeah no, he needed to be at least a bit more drunk before he probably would be responding well to this entire situation.

Jeff cleared his throat a little and touched Vee's shoulder, "I thin' that this may be a bit more serious than you gettin' money dearie." He said quietly, "you got an alibi?" He whispered to the woman he had been speaking to the entire night.
