Frederick actually offered both of his arms to Mana and Souza, so he could escort them and they could be guided and speak with him a bit more comfortably. “You understood correctly.” He said to Souza. “The house was originally built with a few meager rooms…enough for a small family. But as the family grew, so did the house. Especially when the various children and other relations got better paying jobs and such. It later became a vacation home…big enough to house all the various relations. But the set up changed…they just added on without fully connecting all the hallways together, but instead just connecting them through a series of different rooms and staircases…and the levels are rather uneven as well, depending on who designed that area of the house. In the east wing, you’d think you were in the attic on the third floor, only to find a ladder that leads to the fourth floor.” He explained with a good hearted chuckle.
“Two beds…? Let’s see…follow me through here.” He directed, opening the door to a large room filled with the most random assortment of exercise equipment, including a small trampoline and some balancing and swinging bars. “I think through here we’ve got just the room for you.” He said as he opened up a set of sliding doors for them. Inside was a beautifully simplistic suite; two twin size beds rested against the far wall, surrounded by a large wardrobe and two smaller dressers, and an end table between the two beds. A lamp sat upon the table, and a couple of floor lamps lighted the room with a large ceiling fan lazily turning to keep the air fresh. “Our parents used to tell us how their spinster aunts used to stay here, and the door to the right used to be their art room. The door to the left is the bathroom, and then I think there’s another door that leads from the bathroom as well that enters into another suite that’s currently not in use.” Strangely enough, the color scheme was primarily red and black, with gentle accents in purples and burgundies.
