No, no... That wasn't it... Maybe...? He jumped backwards as an arc of lightning streaked and popped between him and the vial of liquid which floated mid air over a magical flame. Well, that almost went quite poorly. The flame extinguished itself, and the vial gently floated into a leather pouch, where it would be safe while it cooled. He scribbled some notations in a thick black tome before slamming it shut. Well, this was irritating. Proper experimentation was just damn near impossible while out traveling.
"...How much farther?" He questioned, poking his head through the flap in the canvas of the carriage to see the coach. It'd have been so much easier just to open a damned portal, but he had never been to the Rustico before, and didn't know the area well enough to write the incantation, so he had taken to traveling the old-fashioned way. At first, he hoped he could at least get some work done on the way, but that was just proving absolutely impossible. "Anar'alah! There's a nice looking place right up there." He pointed up the path to what appeared to be an inn. He was sick of all this rocking back and forth the damned carriage did and wanted to just get out already. Hopefully he could stay here a night and find better transportation on the morrow.
"Aye milord, Very well." With that, the elven man withdrew back into the covered cabin to gather his belongings as the horses pulling the carriage trotted to a stop. Sighing at how much gold he had wasted on that shoddy ride, he stepped down and started up the path, donning his favored red hat with the white feather in it.
