Welcome to Gaia! ::

No, no... That wasn't it... Maybe...? He jumped backwards as an arc of lightning streaked and popped between him and the vial of liquid which floated mid air over a magical flame. Well, that almost went quite poorly. The flame extinguished itself, and the vial gently floated into a leather pouch, where it would be safe while it cooled. He scribbled some notations in a thick black tome before slamming it shut. Well, this was irritating. Proper experimentation was just damn near impossible while out traveling.

"...How much farther?" He questioned, poking his head through the flap in the canvas of the carriage to see the coach. It'd have been so much easier just to open a damned portal, but he had never been to the Rustico before, and didn't know the area well enough to write the incantation, so he had taken to traveling the old-fashioned way. At first, he hoped he could at least get some work done on the way, but that was just proving absolutely impossible. "Anar'alah! There's a nice looking place right up there." He pointed up the path to what appeared to be an inn. He was sick of all this rocking back and forth the damned carriage did and wanted to just get out already. Hopefully he could stay here a night and find better transportation on the morrow.

"Aye milord, Very well." With that, the elven man withdrew back into the covered cabin to gather his belongings as the horses pulling the carriage trotted to a stop. Sighing at how much gold he had wasted on that shoddy ride, he stepped down and started up the path, donning his favored red hat with the white feather in it.

Mana took careful steps, one exactly in front of the other as she picked up and familiarized herself with the energies of the old house-inn. Her blue-green eyes looking around curiously as her face stayed rather emotionless. The girl of long, black hair, pulled into two mid-height pig tails and blunt bangs made her way towards the front door. She was curious about tonight's weather and what the skies could tell her of tomorrow's morning. Quietly, she stepped forward in her black slip-on shoes. Her light gray, long wrap top swayed slightly at her sudden stop. The girl pulled her hands together and played with the end of one of her long sleeves of her black top that hid under her wrap garb as it fluttered to peak at a pair of black spandex beneath even them. Her sudden stop wasn't just out of no where though, electric waves told her of a person heading up to the entrance. Someone unlike what her and her twin had met before. How strange! But she was very intrigued at just whom this person may be. A small tuft of hair poked up on the top pf her head due to the electric waved she was picking up - they seemed stronger than a regular patron.

The sun's light was growing dim upon the world and it graced the sky with a painters touch in a beautiful fair well to all that it loved. This time of day was perfect for one such as a Der'Khal and Terith inhaled audibly the cooling air through his nostrils. A happy hum clicked and chortled from a less than well suited respiratory system, one of the few audible noises that the Der'Khal could produce.

The world was not a friendly place above the ocean tides but the majority of commerce, culture and exploration was to be found there, so the Der'Khal carved a path in the land alien to them. They were masters of the sea, you see and mobility on land was slow for them.

Territh plodded at a pace that seemed sullen, his thick torso rocking back and forth with each step. One could not precisely see him as he was, given the silks and robes all Der'Khal wore above the waters but those who had seen a Der'Khal usually left feeling like they had just read about a creature from stories.

Though most of his senses were better suited for the sea, Territh turned his large head as he felt the rumble and heard the distant rattle of a carriage. The silks he had draped over his cranium to protect him from the sun concealed the road behind him and so he lifted a thick, flexible limb, a tentacle with two distinct fingers and small, thumb-like nubs on either side, to pull the draping aside and view what might be approaching.

((Aimed at you Cael'ashk))
The elven man made his way up the path towards the inn at a modest pace, neither in a hurry nor trying to drag out the walk. He was more than halfway there before he got the strange feeling he was being watched. He stopped a moment, trying to shake the feeling. He didn't have enemies this far from home, did he? He quickly went over a few spells in his mind, ready to quicken them should the need arise... But when nothing continued to happen, he wondered if it was all just his mind playing tricks on him. Then he turned back around to find his observer standing in his path, pulling back a silk veil with a slimy looking tentacle. He looked like something that had crawled straight out of Nazjatar. "Bala'dash." He greeted warily in his own native tongue before realizing his mistake. "Greetings..." Do I know you? He felt like asking, but was quite certain he did not. Hopefully he hadn't done anything to offend this creature... man... thing. He wasn't sure what to call it

Frederick was only going to put up a flyer stating for that night…not for the whole week or anything, but he didn’t see a need to argue the point. “Alrighty then!” He said with an understanding grin. “A show for tomorrow night then, which gives me time to dig out the target for Mana…and did you need me to show you to the ball basket, to pick out a ball? Or can that wait till a later time?” He asked Souza as Mana left.

Meanwhile, Fiona had finished up the dishes and started to pull out the cleaning supplies…and had walked out to start sweeping the main area when she caught sight of Mana. “Ah! Did you find a suite to your liking?” She asked, stepping closer to the girl knowing that if she wanted to talk, Mana needed to be able to reach her.
Territh's cross shaped pupils remained steadfast upon the cart as it pulled up to the inn. He continued his plodding pace and as the rather well dressed character disembarked from the vehicle, he payed Territh some mind and spoke in a language the Der'Khal did not understand. The character seemed to switch gears slightly and then spoke a greeting, which Territh understood.

The second silvery set of eyes under the first set shone in the low light and Territh bowed his head in greeting. It was apparent that he could not speak but a feeling of welcome was emitted from him as a psychic impulse, nothing strong but just a general feeling like that of well being when you are in a place of peace.

The Der'Khal continued his plodding approach to the Inn, not disregarding the man who had greeted him but unable to communicate much to him other than ideas.

((LOL! Stupid copy paste messed up... Link is fixed...))

Souza shrugged her shoulders while stretching her arms up again. "I can find it." She grinned. "Mana may be able to use electric waved, but I can use vibrations to find things. That's how I see." She told Fredrick, still keeping her grin. "Don't feel bad about the flyers... Mana wants us to be humble. Long story." Souza would wave it off and relax her arms, placing on on her hip.
Mana, now sensing two, no three, signals turned to the one familiar one. She nodded her head a few times and gave a small smile. Then, with a delicate hand, she would point to the door. It was wise to be closer so that Mana could more properly communicate because that's exactly what she did next. She took her other hand and grabbed onto of Fiona's left hand. The sense then of two people approaching would come to Fiona before Mana pulled her hand away and let her arms rest at her sides. She tilted her head with a stare to Fiona, almost as if asking if they should greet them. Almost. But it probably could be taken anyway - that stare of her alert, blue-green eyes. It almost made her look younger than her early 20's age.

Cael'ashk was near ready to start flinging magical fire should this be some distant cousin of one of the many naga that wouldn't mind carrying around his head on a trident, but the creature instead offered a slight bow. Though perplexed, the highborn elf did the same, and like that, the feelings of unease that he held evaporated. Was he trying to communicate with him via some kind of psionic emanation? He relaxed a little, wondering if the... whatever he was had also been able to sense Cael's unease. "Erm, sorry..." It seemed they both were headed towards the nearby inn though, as it continued it's slow waddle up the path. "Right..." Even being a well studied mage, he wasn't sure he had seen many stranger things. After standing there for a moment thinking about it, he decided to continue on, following the creature up the path.

“Ah, no worries.” Frederick said, and nodded about her ability to see through vibrations. “Well, if you have no more use for me, I’m going to go make sure my sister hasn’t drowned in the kitchen sink.” He joked, bowing politely before he exited the room.

Two people outside…? Fiona bit her lower lip. “Guess today is our lucky day…” She murmured, hoping her brother would come back soon. But in taking Mana’s implied suggestion, she set the broom aside and went to the door to open it to the new comers. “Uh…mm…hello and welcome!” She said with an apprehensive smile.
The door was still a bit away yet but Territh continued his waddle, followed immediately by the elf. When the cephalpodiae was just about to reach for the door handle, the doors opened to the site of a rather charming looking young woman.

Territh smiled in his eyes and the warm greeting sensation emitted from him yet again. He bowed his head in respect and his tentacle like arm reached from within his large sleeve, grasping a rather well cut gem stone that probably weighed two pounds. The stone hummed slightly and let out a gentle glow. The hum then modulated and shifted, producing a rather magical sounding voice that did not exactly suit the thick bodied Der'Khal

"Greetings, landborne"

The crystal emitted. It was more than words that were emitted, however, those near to Territh were steeped in a myriad of psionic emanations that were reaching an audible point within the crystal he held. Those sensitive enough to grasp the finer details of the emissions would have no need for the crystal but most had long since turned off their ability to perceive in an extrasensory manner.

"I desire shelter for the eventide and the next two eventides."

Souza would just give a small giggle at Fredrick's joke and nod. "I'll be around here." She muttered and walked into the gym room, tapping the floor and feeling vibrations of where things were and what they were. Soon enough she'd be having a go on some piece of equipment, content by herself for now.
Mana would watch as Fiona went and opened the door. The mute woman standing behind her and poking her head over Fiona's shoulder to see just whom she had sensed. It was surprising to see an elf, but much more surprising to see the second person, er, creature. Mana raised a suspicious brow and watched, sounding out a hum of her own as a welcome, complete with a small bow of greeting. yet she could feel the discomfort of greeting the strangers form Fiona and tried to send her a relaxing signal through a light touch. Gee, perhaps she should become the welcoming person for the inn. Nah, greeting people while being mute wouldn't really work out she decided among the hums that were her thoughts. The mute then watched, curiously but cautiously, as the strangest figure approached and spoke to them through this crystal of sorts. Yet she got electric wave that meant much more than what the crystal was telling. Her face scrunched at first, not sure what was going on, but then just rested on a slightly confused look as her eyes tried to find their eyes. Well, two of them at least...

"Sinu a'manore.. Well met." The elf would join in the bowing going around, seeing it as a normal custom among this company. The trick with the magical gem was rather impressive, and the researcher in him wanted to immediately reach out and poke it, perhaps see if he could borrow it to study how it worked, but he managed to refrain. Perhaps he had the wrong first impressions of this sea-dweller, as he was no creature. He was more civilized than many humans he had come across. "I too would appreciate shelter for the night, should you have room." He removed his hat as he stepped inside, his platinum hair seemingly completely undisturbed in it's stylized twist beneath it.

Golden Gatekeeper

Fiona blinked for a moment as Territh greeted her in return, requesting shelter…though, with all the psionic waves floating around, the poor girl started to feel a bit dizzy and a little sick to her stomach; thought Mana‘s touch of reassurance was a bit comforting. However, she didn’t let her smile falter as she nodded to the Der’Khal and elf. “Oh sure! Come on in, we’ve got plenty of space.” She stepped out of the door way to allow them to enter. “We don’t charge for the rooms, but…um…we do ask that you help to keep your suite clean, and if there’s something specific you’d like to eat, then you simply help us to keep it in supply. Um…other than that…um…is there anything specific you need in your suite…sir...sirs…?” She asked, before bopping herself on the head. “Ah! I’m sorry, sir! I didn’t get your name…or introduce myself! My name is Fiona!” She could be a scatter brain at times.

(( Ok…sadly, I have to get going. Eyes are aching, which means I’m in need of sleep. Sorry for missing or skipping over any other posts, but thank you for coming! ^_^ ))

Mana blinked at the other man as well who spoke in a language unheard of by the young woman. She followed ad Fiona back up, but still stood half behind the hostess. Her blue-green eyes falling on the elven man and studied him. Then Fiona would give her name and Mana's brows would per for a second before her face relaxed into its usual calm stature. She would have said her own name too, had she not been mute. Instead she only tried a faint smile and watched the new customers. Still the signal she got from the both of them were strong and started to even disrupt her own thinking. "Hmmm.." She let out with a short wave, finally trying to introduce herself. Her hand she picked up would clutch at first, not sure if her touch would be right to the one with the psionic waves emitting from, and instead reached to touch the elf on his cheek - the first visible skin she saw of his besides his hand, which somehow made her uneasy. Her name, Mana, would suddenly flash in his mind. It was more heard than anything, and if really dwell on was a fast series of hums that she translated to his own electric waves from hers. then she would simply pull her hand back and let it rest at her side while looking from one to the other.
