Golden Gatekeeper

Perhaps Chloe is a case of Nurture over Nature…as she wasn’t raised to be such a stubborn butt, she wouldn’t naturally think to act it, even if she found out she had every birth right to be as such!

“Yes…” Though she really didn’t see it as being concealed. She saw it as being in a form that felt more natural for her. She never felt her wings or horn before…or the way her ears swiveled. Without the ring, she could feel it all, and none of it felt natural to her. Chloe very much felt like she was in someone else’s skin, and it left her feeling rather uncomfortable!

As for a bra…assuming Rowan meant a bra…well…it just wasn’t something she was large enough breasted to wear! And who the hell keeps things in their bras?! That can’t be comfortable!!!

The girl…leocorness…she rolled her amber eyes at the way Rowan was insisting that they talk in private, as if the servants were going to spread rumors or something. “Is that the only way you talk…if you even do talk…is in private? Why do you find it so necessary to keep secrets all the time?” She said rather quietly as she looked around the table and under the cushions of a nearby couch. “I mean…I don’t go blabbering on and on about everything in my life, but at least I don’t say one little snippet and then bite the other person’s head off whenever they ask for some kind of clarification. Heaven forbid if someone actually wants to be your friend and have a nice conversation with you.” She sighed some before shaking her head. “I thought it was on one of the tables…” She murmured, rubbing her brow…only to bump her horn…scratching at the base irritably like it was an annoying zit. “This feels so weird!” She whimpered with a pout, before curling up…hunched over the floor with her head practically between her knees while she gripped the back of her head. Her wings flapped awkwardly…unsure if she wanted them spread out or folded up…though obviously growing all the more frustrated as the feathers started to molt. Said feathers were soon swished about by a tail that just wouldn’t stay still for anything as it tapped wildly on the floor!

Dae opens his eyes slowly. His vision is somewhat blurry. He can see ambiguous shapes throughout the darkened room. How long had he been lying there? The last thing he remembered is being escorted to his room by Cery after having had a strange encounter with Briar. The first thing he notices is that he's lying in bed and only wearing his boxers, the second thing he notices is that he isn't alone; someone is in the room with him and standing at the foot of his bed. He knows something is terribly wrong. "Who's there?" The sound of his own voice surprises him. It sounds rough, like he was gargling shards of glass previously. His throat feels raw and his hair is plastered to his head from sweat. He blinks a few times, hoping his stupid eyes will focus. His body feels weak and strong at the same time, akin to the feeling of having just recovered from a rather nasty flu (which is ridiculous since vampires don't get sick) but that's exactly how he feels at the moment. He sits up in bed and that's when his eyes decide to give him more detail. It's Akane... Akane is here. Its not a comforting thought as the girl had tried to seduce him by force using her vampire aura previously. "Akane.. Get out! You are not welcome in my presence." That's when he notices it. A distinct smell, a familiar smell. Blood. "What did you do?" Her villainous smile gives him the biggest clue that she had done something terrible. The empty vial in her hand gives him another ominous feeling. He wipes his mouth. Sure enough, his fingers come away red and his fangs are elongated as if still in predator mode. "What did you do!", he practically growls. It seems the blood within the vial not only revitalized him but improved his vampire prowess. She must have fed it to him while he was immobilized by hunger. He moves, an instant blur. He has Akane pinned to the wall much like he did to Briar before during his bloodlust. His eyes are shining silver now and perhaps Akane would describe them as beautiful if she wasn't the subject of his anger at the moment.

She grins wickedly. As Dae sits up in bed, she lets the now empty vial drop from her hand and clatter to the floor. She had fed him the blood while he was unconscious. It was a delightful sight to see his body recover, his illness leaving his body right before her eyes. He is glaring at her as if he wants to choke the life out of her... but that only makes him look sexier. Some of the blood she had given him is still dripping from the corner of his mouth. She pays him no mind when he tells her to get out. She's mesmerized by the power he now exudes. Before she can blink, he's on her, pinning her. "I've awakened you," she says as she stares into his luminous silver eyes. They are now the eyes of a predator, a killer and his hair is now pure white (as a vampire's should be). "Your transformation is complete. You will never again be the weakling you were before. You are mine now." She releases her vampire aura in full force in an attempt to put him under her spell.

Akane Katra's Husband

"Awakened?", he says curiously and wipes the blood from his mouth with the back of his hand. He then brushes some of it across Akane's lips as a sort of thank you for what she had done. As she savors the blood, he caresses her cheek. She was right. He was no longer the weakling he was before that would deny himself all the pleasures of being a vampire.

The only light in the room comes from the moon which spills in from the bedroom window. Both of their eyes must be glowing bright silver in the dim room. He can sense her aura. Its calling to him but its an itch that he can easily ignore; he wasn't going to give her the satisfaction of scratching it for her, at least, not yet. He had things to do. The look in her eyes says she's not afraid, yet her body trembles beneath his gaze. He laughs deeply as if he'd just heard the most amusing joke. His body feels different from before. "What kind of blood did you give me?" He flexes his fingers, clenching his hands into fists as he steps away from her. His body felt renewed. It was like he was another person entirely... which wasn't far from the truth. He was now in his full vampire form and... he wanted to hunt.

Romantic Vampire

She gladly savors the blood he graciously bestows upon her. She licks it hungrily from her lips. The blood was very rich, very powerful. It was intoxicating. If only the moment would last forever. Her Dae was now back, perhaps stronger than before which frightens her but only just; It was actually more... exciting. "I gave you the blood of a leocorn. Very potent indeed and that may be why you feel stronger than before. You may come to crave more of it. In fact, what do you say we go on a hunt for more, my darling." As Dae examines his new found strength, she leans into him. She has to stand on her toes in order to reach his mouth. She pecks him on the lips just as her fangs lengthen.

Akane Katra's Husband

The kiss she plants on his lips allows him to recall how they were in the past. It makes his head hurt as the memories flood in. He remembers being with Akane as they reveled in the passion of the kill. Its true. He was ruthless once.. and as he will be again. His fangs lengthen. He gets dressed in a flash and glances at himself in the mirror. He looked good; powerful and strong and deadly. He runs his fingers through his white hair. It hadn't been that color in decades. It was such a stark contrast to his pale skin; it made a much better statement than his previous black hair had done. He exited his room with the utmost grace and took a deep breath once he was outside the threshold. He was on the hunt. He wanted more of that delicious leocorn blood. He would stop at nothing to get it. He could care less if Akane joined him or not. He wandered the halls of the estate...

Romantic Vampire

It takes all her strength not to just jump him right there however, she can anticipate that he would fling her back with just his aura if she did. So she stays out of his way. Its amusing watching him admire himself in the mirror. She can tell that he likes what he sees. How could he not? His white hair definitely made him more attractive and his fangs were beautiful. She followed close behind as he glided out of the room and through the halls. She skipped behind him like a giddy child but she made sure to keep her distance. In truth, she wanted to snuggle up close to him. She wanted to show him off to those in the estate. Once they see how he is now, she won't be able to stop from wearing her best I-Told-You-So expression. She giggles and skips along behind him while extending her aura outwards. Its strong enough to be felt by others who may be in the vicinity and the lights overhead even shatter as they both walk past. She wasn't ever ashamed of making her presence known, loud and clear.

Golden Gatekeeper

Thankfully the lights are not affected as the estate was not built with normal materials. However, the estate itself would emit a subtle gas throughout the halls to mute out the overpowering auras. It is primarily to prevent those who could feel them from getting sick to their stomachs by them and any potential damages.

Akane Katra's Husband

He runs his hand along the walls with a devil-may-care attitude. Humming a haunting tune as he goes. His fangs are sharp as daggers and poised to sink themselves in the first being that confronts him however he uses all his senses to try to scope out the source of the blood he was given by Akane earlier. He could feel the energies of the estate push back as he emits his aura. It was an interesting feeling, as if the estate itself were alive and trying to fight back against a potential threat. His senses lead him to the ballroom where a frustrated looking leocorness was hunched and a leocorn moves about as if searching for something. He hides amongst the shadows, scoping out his prey, watching and waiting. As he does so, he hides his aura and his presence. He can only hope that Akane takes the hint and does the same. He was only tolerating her tagging along for the moment.

Rowan grumbled under his breath as she looked about, but not very hard. He honestly thought Chloe looked better like this - even if she was awkward, it somehow suited her more. Maybe it was more she made him feel less odd, though how anyone could feel odd in a place like the Blank Slate was unlikely.
He twitched his hears and rolled his golden eyes at her statements about his abruptness and need for privacy. "I would, if it were not.." his eyes slid to the knightly 'servant', "risky." He ended, his tone low and voice even.
When she crumpled on the floor, Rowan's head tilted and his brows furrowed at her. His lips arched downward in a light frown. "Are you.. alright?" he asked after a silent moment, moving more in front of her to avoid the tail, and crouching himself. "I'm sure if does feel weird... I can, somewhat relate?" He said, questioning if that was really true himself. "I mean.. when I, er, was transformed the first time. Though, I did not take it as well as you are taking this." he told her with a bit of a sigh, his eyes still flicking now and then to their surrounding area, paranoia showing a bit. he felt something was seriously off, and it wasn't just the situation of the strange servants anymore - come to think of it, where did his supposed personal servant go? - but it was a more dangerous feeling, and we swore he smelt that same vampiric stink Akane gave off before. He felt the need to look over his shoulder to one of the entrances, and subconsciously inched a little towards Chloe. What now? he thought irritably.

(( bringing in Briar because I'm not waiting on the wizard anymore - sorry! And also terribly sorry I'm so late on this, I have had some bad writers block for RPing and I'm a bit caught up in real life. So, I may not be so frequent on here for a while... ))

After sleeping for most of the day, Briar sleepily got up and exited her hut. The pixie worse today a pair of shorts and baggy shirt the color of foxglove flowers. her hair was put in a messy bun atop her head with lose strands falling out. She yawned as she flew to the estate and entered in through the hallways.
Instantly, she felt something odd. It smelled funny and her skin crawled. She shivered, getting an odd sensation, and her eyes began to glow an electric blue. Floating around slowly, she rounded the corner and caught a glimpse of Akane, following some other man with white hair from a distance. The pixie narrowed her eyes and stated as quiet as she could, landing upon the ground to keep low. They seemed to be going to the ballroom and the pixie wondered why, what could be there for them? Why did this feel so menacing? The pixie thought a moment, on who the vampires could be preying on. The donors? No, why would they need to prey like hunters? Rowan? Nah, they couldn't be that stupid to test her Sire.... That only left Chloe then! Awkward, anxious, frustrated little leocorness Chloe!
Her eyes widened a bit and she tried to quickly think of something to do!
Cery! She thought, looking down the opposite way of the hall. I should find her.. or... or maybe the donors? Would they be able to help stop them? Briar was just so unsure what to do, she wiggled with anxiety! Biting her lip some, she squeezed her eyes shut and held her breath. Instantly, she turned invisible and instead of going off to find someone she zipped to the other entrance of the ballroom, hoping to reach Chloe before they did and.. well do something to help! Hopefully her efforts wouldn't backfire this time...

(( PS I hope this is okay... >.< ))

Chloe’s tail swished more irritably when Rowan continued on about needing to talk in private. Who were the servants going to talk to? She grumbled beneath her breath, shuddering as she flexed her muscles from head to toe, only to get stuck at her wings as they shifted clumsily behind her. “I’ll be fine…” She muttered when the leocorn asked if she was ok. “Well…unlike you, I would rather come to terms with my fate than try to fight it.” She explained with a sigh, flopping down on her rum as she closed her eyes and focused on her wings some more. “I can’t say I like the idea of this being thrown on me out of nowhere, but at least now I know what I am…and I figure there are ways of working with it. It’s just…like learning a new job. All I can do is try my best, and hope to learn from my mistakes instead of letting them get the better of me.”

Just as she managed to calm down enough, Chloe was able to get her wings to fold behind her back. She opened her amber eyes and blinked for a moment, glancing over her shoulders to give a little smile at her minor success. Then her face started to cringe, and she began to sneeze almost uncontrollably at the strange, subtle smell that lingered in spite of the Estate’s efforts to neutralize the vampiric aura…unaware of the little pixie that was rushing towards her, or the vampires that lurked nearby.

Romantic Vampire

Dae Jooni's humming reverberates through the halls. It sends a shiver down her spine. He was frightening and exciting her at the same time but this was how she preferred him. She slows her pace enough to gauge the estate's response to their auras. It was insulting but she didn't have enough time to comment before they entered the ballroom. She considers taking Dae Jooni's queue to be silent and hide among the shadows... the consideration lasts a good two seconds before she rolls her eyes. Sneaking up on prey like she was some kind of animal wasn't her style. She preferred the direct approach. While Dae Jooni hides his aura, she lets hers blossom and she has no doubt that the stupid leocorn will be the first to pick up on such a familiar feeling. Oh well.
(She doesn't detect the invisible pixie that rushes past). She wouldn't mind going after the leocorn as he was the one that most annoyed her; the leocorness he seemed to be attempting to protect just looked pathetic enough not to be worth her time. Dancing ballerina-style into the ballroom she definitely makes herself known. She was always a fan of making a big entrance. "Good day everyone," she says in her sweetest voice. She uses her supernatural agility and speed to end up within a few feet of the two leocorns. "Why are you looking so uncomfortable?"

Akane Katra's Husband

Dae clenches his teeth. Akane is ruining his approach. He had always been more elegant when it came to taking down prey. He was planning on just taking down the both of the leocorns in one swift movement, before they knew what hit them. Akane never did appreciate that type of approach. He emerges from his hiding place and saunters across the ballroom. He is sure his new look will cause some stir if Akane's flashy dancing hasn't already. It was going to be interesting.
A look at Chloe up close makes him hesitate a moment. Her hair is different somehow, brighter and it looks soft to the touch. She is covered in fur. His eyes trail from the horn at her head to the tip of her wings and tail. He has conflicting emotions at that point. She has changed considerably while he was away. (Then again, so had he). He watches her sneeze uncontrollably; she seems to be having a bad reaction to his presence and that makes him feel almost remorseful. The feeling immediately flees as he takes a deep breath and catches her scent. She smells good enough to eat. She was tempting before but now she is irresistible. As he speaks his voice is deep and menacing, "Hello Chloe. You look fantastic." He approaches slowly, completely ignoring Rowan in the process. He moves forward and slowly reaches a hand out to stroke Chloe's hair.

Rowan rolled his eyes irritably at Chloe's talk. She was indeed handling this strange change better than Rowan, but it was quite opposite. While he was stripped of everything he was, she was now whole and true. Though, he bit his tongue on the subject, knowing that neither of them would agree.
His ears flattened again as he heard some shuffling and quickly he stood to turn, just in time to see the vampires waltz in. Immediately a low grow vibrated from his throat, fists clenching by his sides as he eyed both of them, scrunched his nose.
That smell. He thought to himself. I hate that smell.
He began to bare his carnivore teeth as the both of them got closer. Dae did not look like he did before, but Rowan recognized the form from before when he went into a bloodlust. His golden eyes glanced form one to another, not sure who might be more trouble. And as Dae when to reach out to Chloe, Rowan became protective and stepped in front of him, his own menacing look and sound. "You've become unwelcome." he stated flatly, not seeing a reason to also tell them why. The evidence was right there in front of everyone.

Briar, who was still invisible, now appeared just besides Chloe's cheek for a split moment. She had seen the vampires come in as well, the annoyance on Dae's face and the independent attitude of Akane. This whole bloodlust thing was enough to make her sick - and she couldn't even smell the aura like the leocorns, but the feeling in the air made her cringe! She was unsure what to do at first, going to hold her breath again to vanish from sight. I have to do something! This is dangerous, those vampires have gone crazed! She thought in a new protective state of mind.
In a flash, she made a rash decision and shot right towards Akane, grabbing a lock of hair and yanking her back as hard as she could. With any luck, it would knock the vampire unbalanced. Briar would just go again to pull another lock in another direction, and repeat the process while avoiding any flailing arms or grabbing hands. Perhaps, if anything, she could annoy the vampires enough to forget the leocorns.

Golden Gatekeeper

“I warned you…” Came a sing-song voice of a petite little creature who came trotting down the grand staircase of the ballroom. “…and Miss Acorn did something she said she wouldn’t…” Cerynitis pouted as she snapped her fingers. The air in the ballroom would grow still, any and all ‘aura effects’ coming from the vampires would completely disappear, fully neutralized by the ballroom’s air system. This, in turn, would allow Chloe to breathe again...the sneezes progressively ceasing as the allergy effect wore off. “…and now Dandelion June is going to have to pay for breaking his promise.” Cery’s ears drooped with disappointment at the two vampires. “Just when I hired some lovely donors, too…”

Chloe looked back and forth at everyone once she felt her head and lungs start to clear. She gave Dae a queer look when he called her fantastic, when clearly she wasn’t feeling so great. While some people meant well by telling such lies to help someone feel better, she was the type to take it with a grain of salt…and muddled as she felt, the compliment was not taken very well. “What’s going on?” She asked when Rowan came to her defense and the owner of the estates talked about broken promises. Cery simply sighed. “I really don’t mind when vampires come to visit, and I’m even working on a little project to make them all the more welcome here. But when there are some that refuse to behave, and start stealing blood from my employees and patrons…well…I’m sorry, but when they knew the rules when they came here, then there is just no forgiving them.” She explained before Briar went and tugged on Akane’s hair.

Just as the pixie let loose the lock of hair and turned for another attack, the little creature known as Cerynitis would snap her fingers again.

The sight of the ballroom, the pixie, the leocorns, and even Cery herself would fade from the vampire duo’s sight…transforming into an arid desert at the peak of the noon sun. As they reached out to grab at anyone or anything that might have once been near them, they would find air…wind, sand, heat…even each other…but nothing more. When they use their heightened senses and abilities to determine if this was real or fake, be it running, listening, tasting…it would all feel too real, they would run and find no end the sandy dunes, hear nothing but the wind whistling and the sand crunching and sliding beneath their feet, and they would run into no walls or barriers, feel nothing but the warmth of the sun bearing down upon their pale skin.

No…the sun wouldn’t burst them into flames…it was a false world that they were in, after all. But their abilities would not allow them to escape it. This was The Blank Slate, after all…and they had misbehaved against Cery’s wishes. Dae knew there would be a punishment…and he knew he would be thrown out with Akane if she didn’t abide by the rules. This simply was a way for Cery to imprison them until she could transfer them off of her property.

Outside of the holographic world that the vampires were trapped in, the leocorns and pixie would see that the vampires were inside of a cube, floating in mid-air in a type of sleep-stasis. “I have too many problems to deal with as it is. I don’t have time for these two and their games. In fact…” Cery said rather sternly…”I’m closing my doors to new guests until I can get a few things figured out and dealt with.” She looked towards the princely elfin painted servant that was still washing the nearby windows. “I’ve got painted servants that I didn’t paint, and two royals to babysit...and some fine tuning to the gates to the realms I’ve been working on. So…in the meantime, I need you two to stop bickering…” She pointed the leocorns. “…and you to keep an eye on them and let no other servants come near them…” She said pointing to the pixie. “...while I figure out what’s going on.” Cery stated before striding towards the princely servant, grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, and dragged him into the window that had temporarily been turned into a mirror. The status box the vampires were held in would soon disappear through a trapped door in the ballroom floor.

(( Sorry guys…life has gotten a bit busy, and I am not going to have time for RPing until I can get my schedule organized enough for me to feel less stressed and more creative. Sorry things had to end this way, but I would like to thank everyone who’s posted for your patronage. You all made the RP truly enjoyable while it lasted. ))
