Aged Gaian

There was a silence after Ellie finished speaking.

Damon turned his head ever so slightly and looked at the woman right in her eyes. "You. Ellie..."

Having faced his mortality and realizing that his life could slip away at any moment, Damon decided that he'd better do something now, in case he never got the chance. "Marry me?" He didn't stutter his words or say them in a low tone. The words were strained, in fact it was the strongest, most confident thing he'd said in... a long time.

"Starfruit or banana?" Aveline would ask Rhoslyn, "mind grabbing a couple a shot glasses?" Aaron still wants some too, and Rhoslyn's choice will be what Aaron will drink as well.

((Still wondering when you are going to come over and cook me something Ross.))

"Wha?" Did she hear right? Maybe she was going insane she wasn't sure, but she could have sworn he just proposed. Her eyes were wide with shock, and she literally gasped sharply. "I...Are...what?" She stuttered, trying calm her spinning mind. Marriage?

She swallowed hard, as she went silent. Could she see herself with him forever? Cause when she thought of marriage, she knew it would only be with one person forever. Yes she could, she cared for him deeply. But was he really serious?

By the tone of voice and the look he gave her, she knew he was.

"Y..yes." She said finally after a few minutes of her silently freaking out. Hopefully not freaking him out with how silent she was for the couple minutes "But first....first..you need to ask your daughter. We need her blessing, if she says no...then..I can't. I wouldn't do that to her."

A warm smile graced her lips, as she gave him a loving look. Yes she would marry him only on that condition.
"Banana. Yeah."

A few rolls, and Rhoslyn would grab the glasses by the bottom. After setting them down on his lap, he'd roll himself around, then carefully go back around the bar to get it to her. Seemed the guy was just enjoying his beer in silence.

"I should really look into gloves."

"Pour 'em a shot," Aveline orders to Thurgood.

"Yes: you really should," Thurgood answers while slamming the jug of banana brandy into her gut.

Aveline glares at Thurgood, opens the cap, and carefully pours two shots of the brandy: one for Rhoslyn, one for Aaron.

If and when Aaron was handed her shot, she would raise it up and down, look at it, smell it, and then shoot it all back into her throat, barely tasting it. She didn't much like the taste of alcohol, so she always just shot it down into her system. Something that her and Ross didn't have in common.

"Ey. Cheers."

Rhoslyn would do the shot, but let the alcohol go over his tongue and savor the flavor.

[Sorry. Got kinda busy.]

Meanwhile, the Stranger had been in the garage, recovering. Once the physical side effects wore off, he needed to attend to some other matters. His blood was synthetic, one of the side effects of his imprisonment; they gave all of their life sentence subjects a full transfusion, replacing their natural blood with the SynthBlood. It had some benefits; quicker coagulation, could store four times the amount of oxygen, and was much more efficient than normal blood. Plus, as a side effect they hadn't predicted, it was much more conductive, allowing him to store even more electricity in his body and better manipulate it. However, since it was comprised mostly of nanomachines, the machines tended to break down over time. Especially in Stranger's body, his constant use of electricity actually broke it down even faster; if he went full-tilt, he could burn through his current supply within three weeks and need a new transfusion. If he took it easy, it could last six months easily. Still, the stuff was hard to come by.

The next hour or so was devoted to a transfusion with his backup supply. Between the escape and what he did for Damon and Ross, it had worn out his current SynthBlood. Once done, he would be back on his feet and right as rain, but there was just one problem. It was his last shipment. He would have to find a way to requisition a new stock if he were going to stick around, especially if they were going to cause this kind of trouble on a regular basis.

Stranger moved over to the generator, picking up two large cables, and started draining it of power. Even with the transfusion, he was still feeling drained. He absorbed a massive amount of electricity in a short amount of time, enough that the lights within the BSB flickered and wavered for a moment, before steadily returning to their normal functions.

Damon tried to smile, but his lips barely pulled into one.

She'd said yes. He hadn't expected that, really. Instead he figured on her wanting to think about it, or perhaps becoming confused or annoyed with him. Not an acceptance. He'd have celebrated right then, but it hurt to even breath too hard.

The little girl and Ellie never really got along well. Damon loved his daughter very much, and nodded his head in agreement with Ellie. Steph wouldn't like the idea of having Ellie as a mother, she'd take quite a bit of time to come around. That much was for sure...

"I'm glad. I've never really been married before..."

The shot Rhoslyn tasted would start with the burn of ethanol, with the same burn in the middle, but finish tasting like the banana it was made from: that's what makes fruit brandy worth more than grain whiskey as far as moonshine goes.

"We got a couple big pots of coconut brandy fermenting right now..." Aveline would mention as the lights flicker and dim.

((gotta go for tonight))

Aaron would mostly feel the burn in the back of her throat, but eventually her pupils would dilate when she tasted a random burst of banana essence in her mouth. "That's something." She said with a grin. She wasn't really a fan of fruit flavored drinks, or banana flavored anything, but hey -- When in Rome...

She laughed, shaking her head. "Me either. But first....need Steph's approval." Ellie wouldn't budge on this, not wanting to cause a rift between the little girl and her father. "And for you to..heal."

Studying him, she couldn't help but smile at him, "You sure though? Me? I mean I am not..much. Can't even control my power." Shaking her head, she rubbed her eyes. "Never mind it can be discussed later...you really need rest. And me..I feel like I am going to fall asleep sitting up."

((Note to self, whipped creme vodka..is super strong. So when making hot coco with it, just a lil bit of the vodka. Don't fill up half your mug with it. Geh..))
With the alcohol to lubricate his synapes, the faerie grinned. It struck him that he'd been wrong in his original assessment. Aaron wasn't quite wizard material. It wasn't a bad thing, exactly, but oh well. She would, however, make a good summoner, given enough time.

"Say. Have you ever wanted to learn how to raise a zombie?"

A grin. Because, why the ******** not? Zombies and skeletons were easy little tricks, and it wasn't as though Aaron would ever lack subjects.

Ellie could benefit from it. He wasn't sure what to make of the woman, but the signs seemed to point that way. Besides, even if not, she had some talent and he'd love to have a hand unleashing some of it. Best of all, it could be done sitting, which would be just great for the upcoming while.
