Jez keeps her silver eyes on her hands in her lap. Her fingers pick at her nails as her tongue twirls the metal in her lip, nervous habits. The pink in her cheeks proceeds to grow as Gus showers her in endlessly kindness. How could someone contain so much good in them? Unless he really is a God. 'He fits Eros more,' the girl muses as she listens to his tender warmth. But if he's Eros then . . . She stops herself from thinking anymore and focuses on his words. The blush under her pale flesh is the only hint at her dirty thoughts. She scolds herself for thinking such things. What if she accidentally portrayed her mind to the werewolf?

The psychic looks up just as Gus finishes his flattering statement with a wink. She blinks at him, contemplating what such an action implies. Probably just some more senseless flirting for the sake of tips. Jez keeps herself from finding anything more in the chef's intentions. Why would anyone take an interest in a creep like herself? Especially an attractive man like this. She blinks her silver orbs once more when he poses a question.

"Ah, y-yes. I grew up there," Jez tells the brunette, her accent a dead giveaway. "Wh-where are you from? If you don't mind me asking. I'd assume the South by your manner of speaking, but that would be rude a-and . . . " The teen drifts off and stops herself from talking anymore by reaching for her chilled mug of cocoa on the table. Her gloved hands bring it in for a long sip. She's so wrapped up in her conversation that she isn't even fazed by the intimidating man that enters the tavern and takes a seat with the robed woman. There must be something about this Gus that he's able to envelop her entire concentration.

Kalypso raises a brow at the woman's confession to her race. By the look on her companion's face, she doesn't reveal herself so easily to just anyone. Such trust in an outcast bartender as herself brings a merry grin to the immortal's angular face. Were the ginger to look at her server, she'd turn on a more light-hearted smile in response to her jesting comment. The vampyre wouldn't want her patrons to think her a real softy that goes to mush whenever one of her precious customers finds comfort in her. That'd be uncool and just asking for trouble.

At the sound of the silver-haired man speaking, Kalypso turns to him with a thoughtful look as she mulls over his inquiry. "Well, there are a few humanlike men here right now. But I haven't gotten any signs of any, what did you say, cat girl?" She processes the odd question again before shaking her head slowly. Her creases her brow and gives an apologetic look to her male patron. "No, I don't recall anyone of those descriptions. I'm sorry, lovely."

Just as she finishes her statement, the pale woman's attention is draw by someone entering the bar. She turns on her brightest smile, only to retract it at the sight of the thing that waltzes in. He's something from nightmares, made of children's nightmares. Kalypso feels another shiver similar to that she received from the priestess from gaping at this new man. She wants to carry out her sworn duties as co-owner of the tavern to serve all customers loyally, but finds herself unable to step forward. Instead, she remains behind the counter and assumes the elf-like man will come forward if he desires anything she can provide. Still, the immortal keeps an alert eye on him, cautious of his shadiness. Even when another presence follows close behind his entry, Kalypso's face remains distraught with a sort of wariness. When her golden gaze rests on the dark-haired woman that collapses at the bar, the vampyre turns on a gentle smile and attempts to push the terrifying image of the man seated across the room from her head.

"Hello, dear. Are you alright? Could I get ya anything?" the pale woman offers, tilting her head at the exhausted woman with sympathy.

"Texas.” Gus said with a charming laugh, his head shaking gently. “We moved here when I was five, but momma kept her Southern values and raised us right.” He said with a brief nod, referring to his younger brother, who had died four years ago.

His gaze was lowered as he took another long drink of his iced water, fingers slipping from the condensation on the glass though he enjoyed the cool sensation. “You’re not used to being spoken to, are you?” He asked curiously as he lifted his head to look at her, eyebrows briefly lowering in concern. He thought Jazzy was adorable, but her strange way of looking at him like he was some strange alien made him curious as to who had damaged this girl’s self worth to the point where compliments were disregarded.

Charlotte had buried her face in her arms, having folded them into a make-shift pillow on the bar top. Her eyes peeked out of them, looking up at the dark haired woman that was behind the bar. She manages a small smile, propping her body up onto counter space and holding her head in her palms. The offer of services is wonderful, the thought of food made her stomach erupt in a loud grumble.
Pink flew across her cheeks. Char didn't know she was as hungry as her stomach was letting on and in a mousy voice, she obediently and almost reluctantly refused the offer; "I am rather hungry, and maybe something caffeinated would keep me conscious, but I'm in between jobs and have no money."
Her deep chocolate eyes fell from the lady's face. She examined the freckles on her arms, ashamed. "Thank you for your kindness, though."

The brass handle of the entrance was well worn. Heaven knows how many hands, paws, tentacles or whatever was used to open doors had done so. The door was as old as the building it flimsily guarded and had seen about as much. Years gone by and little by little did the entry gain seem to budge, the wood was scratched, stabbed and shot to the annoyance of whoever was the owner or co-owners at the time. Yet it kept on being the not so famous door to the Black Hound, surviving with a little bit of magic or modern technology to spruce it up. Hinges replaced, paint stripped, varnish reapplied. Handles, well...

[******** me."

Handles could be restored. They could be made good as new. The door would keep it's original state. Hah, that was a lie. "Old junk." They would just get a similar one and hope no one noticed. That was the way of Seung-Yun Park and those before him did things. Replace it and hope no one cared to spot the difference. Hell that was Old Town in a nutshell. Well worn buildings from eras long past replaced bit by bit until nothing of the old was left. Old Town, a glimpse into of what came before, built on the blocks of the now.

Park didn't take much attention to the customers as he walked in, broken handle in hand. Brown eyes took a few seconds to look at the two of the clergy in one table. Their appearance warranted a snide comment about the dualism that any faith brought but such a remark was left for another time. Past the tables the Korean went, maneuvering a werewolf chatting up a storm with a vampiric feline. The joys of living in the new millennium free of the old.

Past a trashy looking woman and her male escort he went, past the awkward blonde girl who seemed to be talking with the newest werewolf to grace their tavern. Past the stranger who was being served by the life size Russian doll and another who had the attention of the other bartender ,slash co-owner, slash pretty face of the business. Finally the man would stop at the last stool at the end of the bar.

"I broke the handle." Park told the vampire behind the counter. "I'll have someone try to fix it." The evidence was promptly left of the wooden counter. "Seems lively today no?" A sly smile broke the straight, grim line his face usually carried. And before Kalypso could reply the man had turning and was now getting to work.

First came the one the vampire had addressed as the Asian walked in. The male had heard just enough to guess she needed something. "Would a cup of coffee be okay?" Park asked as he butted into their conversation. "Or would a job be better?"

"Elven is good." It would just mean he had to rush out the door and hope he could catch a break getting from where he was to where they would meet up less he arrive late. The giddy feeling the wolf had was quickly shot down as Tig explained she had more magical ways of communicating. Some people just were stuck in their old ways Kelly gathered.

Then again he should have expected this from the woman. Just as he should of kept his distance less she poof away. "Urgh." Cough, cough. Her teleportation trick did a number on his sensitive nose even though she had been kind enough to do it a little ways away from him. "Magic..." Why couldn't people just travel via mechanical contraptions? It didn't take long for her to return with something much better than a phone.

The piece of jewelry was exotic in it's nature and design. "You're not worried that I might abuse it?" Kelly asked with a sheepish grin.

He seemed a bit apprehensive at the time but Tig didn't care, she wouldn't mind waiting on him. Might give her time to attend to some things in that part of town anyhow.

The beauty looked at him sternly as he questioned her. "I can pretend to trust you can't I?" She tossed back lifting a brow and thinking to the night spent in his bed with him politely sleeping on the floor. The vampire placed the necklace on the counter before him taking up her stool yet again. "If you summon me while you're in the shower I'll smack you." She warned him with a purr.

Park slipping past them had not gone unseen by her gilded jade eye. She swiveled in her stool and matched Callahan with her back against the counter, looking down to the last stool. "What's eating him you think?" The brunette used the tip of her ear to motion to the Storm Tiger a bit away from them.

Oh he wouldn't dream of it, at least not until he knew she wouldn't tear him a new a*****e for doing so. The purr that came after her warning made the man raise his own brow. The master of mixed signals was at it again. "Oh kinky." Kelly replied as he took the necklace and put it on. As he did the lycan didn't catch the co-owner making his way pass them but his wonderful nose told him ever the same.

Tig asked a good question. One that would be answered right after Kelly reacted to her ear moving to point at the Korean's direction. "That's cute. Really it is." The man said with a nod before answering less she take a jab at him. " I don't know. Park is Park." Callahan shrugged. "He hangs out with the demons and wolves." And he didn't mean it literally. "He has a whole range of things that could be eating him."

If he thought that was kinky he hadn't seen anything yet. This made her grin oh so devilishly.

The purr stuck 'round taking up subtle background noise to their conversation. Her head turned back to him inhumanly fast as he described her action. "I would not use 'cute' as an adjective to describe me." She told him this with her silky voice accenting the word with a bit of distaste. No Tig was not 'cute' even if it seemed that way in brief moments. She lived her life on blind men falling into her lustful traps, and using her prowess as a means of persuasion.

She sent another glance Park's way and then back to the wolf. At least he was back and she could ask for a proper room. "And who do you hang out with Mr. Callahan?" She asked him, smiling and continuing to savor the sound of his name off her pierced tongue.

Kiana was pleased to see that Kalypso wasn't freaked out by her. Most people asked her stupid questions, back away, or refused to acknowledge that she existed when she said what she was. There weren't too many succubi around. Well, like Kiana anyway. This was one of the reasons Ki let onto her race. She just wanted to see how people would react. Seeing Caleb's face, she chuckled at him, and looked back at Kalypso and Caleb as Caleb asked a question. The question made Kiana sigh softly.

After Kalypso answered, Caleb looked kind of defeated, and slumped on the stool a bit. He was going to say something else, but Kiana cut him off. "Trust me, you can't miss these fools. The man thinks he's the hero of everything and the neko is really flighty." Kiana couldn't help but smile a tiny bit when she thought about the neko. But, this was a quick smile, and one would have to be fast to see it. After that moment passed, she looked annoyed with the pair she was talking about, and sighed as she rubbed the bridge of her nose. "Thanks for answering the question, though. At least we now know that they haven't been around here."

Kiana felt a feeling, the same tense feeling that she felt when the priestess came in, and slowly turned around to see what it was. A man, a strange man, wearing a white robe just like the priestess wore. She eyed him for a few moments, watching as he sat down with the priestess, trying to place why he made her feel the same feeling. He sure didn't look holy. Maybe it was just the metal in his body? If it was blessed, Kiana would feel this way. She hated feeling tense around holy things. But, what else was one to feel when that was the only thing that could hurt you?

Taking her eyes off of the man, she eyed the tired girl who wandered in, and then looked to the man who came in shortly after her. This place was really brimming with life. Infact, it was getting a little too crowded for the woman. Though, after searching for the two imbeciles so long with only Caleb, Kiana enjoyed the different faces.

"I take it that sexy would suffice." Seductress or femme fatale were being saved for later. "Hmm?" Her next question changed the topic of their idle chat once again. Was the Tigress genuinely interested or just asking random questions out of boredom/ "That's a little personal question miss." He said with a knowing look that told her he was just messing around. Kelly had told her who he had last had a serious relationship with.

No big secrets were left for him to hide in the dark, his life was public and most likely on file in the several organizations. Aside from those who knew him which included the military, the local LEO's and the government who else had a need to know about his life? Callahan was just another statistic in the grand scale of it all. Having a pretty woman smiling at him made it better though.

Who did he hangout with? Darn he didn't hang out with anyone or hadn't yet. The question was as simple and here the werewolf was making it complex by over thinking. "I just got back so I haven't had time to reconnect with old friends. But I've hung out with Park and whoever is still around." Kelly said, wary to detail that whoever was around meant the survivors of their background.

The wolf and Park had been successful in staying alive, the same couldn't be said for the others. "We've been catching up and such." At times their conversations weren't much different from a sowing circle of housewives. Who had died in their lovely neighborhood of a slum. Who had been pinched and ended up in prison. Stories traded back and forth.

"Why? You plan on having me introduce you to them?" The man lifted a brow before chuckling. He'd be insane to bring anyone to their neighborhood.
It suddenly occurred to Sen'Urith that he'd been so occupied with the holy woman that he had not bothered with the rest of the tavern's occupants. He sat up straight and gave the area a quick sweep of the eyes. He learned much with his single look and was left trying to remember if he'd ever killed a catgirl before.

"Do you seek Khaine's favor?"

"Of course." The elf responded reflexively, turning his gaze back to Adelle and narrowing his eyes. He was a devout warrior of the bloody-handed god, he sought above all else to earn Khaine's favor. There was only one prize he valued more than the malevolent adoration of his deity. He had even gone so far as to disfigure and alter his own form to better serve his master. Those triangular pointed teeth were the result of many hours of painful grinding. His nails had to be removed before razors could take their place. His very hair and eye color were the result of a bath in the cauldron of blood in his infancy. Oh yes, he desired Khaine's favor.

"What are you proposing?"

Charlotte had been silently pouting into the palms of her hands, she felt foolish for even bringing up food and drink. It would have been better to just say no and save herself from admitting to her lack of coin. She hadn't come in here looking for anything in particular, just a chance to get out of the hustle and bustle and rest her weary feet before possibly heading off to find anything helpful. It was embarrassing, having to admit how little you had that would work in this world.
She chewed at her teeth while mentally chastising herself.

In truth, Charlotte had plenty. A small cottage, hidden several miles into the country and she knew magic well enough to make the earth yield food and an old, dry well burst with water. Mix in a few wooly animals and she was able to sustain life on her own. It paid to be a dedicated follower of Anu. However, she between the years of solitude it was hard to ignore the fact that one could grow incredibly lonely. So, Charlotte wandered back into the city from which she fled and was in search of company and a change of pace. She hadn't thought about the need for money, since it had been far from a need for many years.

Char had been so wrapped up in her embarrassment and regret for coming into the city that she had hardly heard the man address her. Her eyes snapped back to life and wandered to meet the face that inquired about coffee and a job. He was sitting at the end of the bar beside her, embarrassment was still strewn across her soft face as she replied, "A job would be lovely, but if you can't hire me I would understand."

A meek smile pressed her cheeks up, she forced a small glint into her eyes. Her body turned on the stool to face him, "I'm not even sure what I could bring to the table, it's been a long time since I've interacted with people."

Her hands fell into her lap, she played with the hem of her dress in nervousness. Of course, Charlotte would graciously accept the job if he was really meaning to offer one. There was no getting around the fact that she was flat out broke and living in civilization required money, but there was an anxiousness in the bottom of her gut. Could she even do a good enough job to keep the job? A sigh escaped her, Charlotte knew she would have to make it work.

The tigress shrugged casually. "Something like that," she concurred, secretly being partial to sweeter pet names like 'babydoll' or 'kitten'. That was something she would never tell, the problem of a hopeless romantic with a stone cold exterior.

Besides, Kelly seemed like too much of a ruffian for that kind of talk. She smirked at him, rolling her eyes and shaking her head playfully as he joked. Her delicate face turned a bit more serious as he spoke again. The vampire could only imagine what war did to a poor soul and that meant she had no right to be empathetic about it, and it was clear it was something she didn't wish to discuss anytime soon.

"I see. He must be a barrel of fun." She responded, not being able to help the sarcasm in her captivating voice. The only times she had really seen the owner he hadn't seemed very jubilant or easy going. Just your run of the mill bad guy playing a business man. "It's nice to see old friends sometimes." she mused a little quieter.

Tig grinned again. "Of course," She said with a graceful gesture of her hand showing him that he was obviously right. Her tail flicked and she chuckled. Definitely the queen of mixed signals.

Can't hire her? Did she expect him to go the normal route of hiring a person due to their skills? "Everyone brings something to the table." The man said as he looked at fidgeting woman. Experience meant little when it came to his hiring process. You didn't even need to fill out an application. It was sure valued if one could, it legitimized his business practices. "What skills do you possess?" Park asked.

The man hired under the table and on the spot. No paychecks, cash only and a good discount if you lived where you worked. Many before and many after liked the offer he gave. "We might be in the need for a utility worker." Was that the correct label to use for dish washer? Eh, the Asian didn't care. "Or something else. Cleaning perhaps or as a server." Unglamorous jobs for for all he knew was the run of the mill traveler on a quest to save their world.
