"Candy?! What else is considered candy to you here on this planet?" Sandel couldn't wrap his mind around the fact that emeralds were in fact, alien candy. He had heard what Leon said before that, but it sounded like background chatter. He was too interested in the gem that he had handed off to Onyx. "You just.....just handed it off like you have thousands of those in your pocket!!" Eyes flickered down to his pants to gauge the size and fullness of his pockets. "I'm so jealous right now, I want treasure I can eat."

His mind wandered off daydreaming about a place, particularly where Leon was from. The treasure hunter pictured everything made of his own valuable minerals from silver to ruby's all the way to platinum. Unconsciously licking his lips and rubbing his hands together, he nodded. "Dude, it's just, crazy that you can do that. People die here everyday for what you treat as a normal piece of candy." His little pep-talk was destroyed in a moments notice when he saw Onyx walk off mesmerized by the jewel in her hands. Sandel pouted a little bit, feeling like he was the one who should have gotten it. He was the treasure hunter afterall.

He stared at the sight of the female who was excited to have gotten the gem. It shocked him of her strange reaction to it. She seemed to hoard it, sort of like an orc of olden ancient times. She ran off from them and away from the bar before Leon could respond with a your welcome. He simply stared at the trail she made, his eyes wide, a single index finger raised in the air. “Wot the…I don’t even…” He stopped for a second catch what had just happened and remind himself that it indeed did.

“Yer lads care too much about material fings, right, sometimes yer 'ave ter just relax and live a bit.” He said to the male. He just could not see these pieces of candy as anything else but worthless, they were just so common where he was from it was just…there. Hearing about his story of what people would do for it, he widened his eyes and scratched his head partly confused about such rash actions. “Right, isit?Over pieces of candy, right, I spot no reason for that, like evryfink else it goes oray eventually…”

Just as back in the dress shop her skin shivered and tingled under his caress, forming goose bumps underneath the insubstantial layer of fabric that separated her flesh from his hand. He traced the length of her side and the rush of hunger his touch caused to surge up from her abdomen unsettled her. The words, "Because I can." Made her feel both calmer and somewhat melancholy, it was as she'd thought he dangled the lure that hooked her not 'because I want to' or 'because I need to'. He wasn't tailoring his taunts to her specifically, he was just being himself, 'because I can.' He should walk around with a warning sign taped to his back that said 'Will flirt with anything that has two legs and is X-chromosome dominant.'

The feel of a claw rather then a fingertip guiding her chin up, her neck into the perfect position for him, sent a small shock of instinctive fear through her. The natural response to something sharp and pointy against her skin was tempered by a wave of excitement and anticipation. He spoke to her as his hands moved one grasping her fingers in a tight interlocking grip beneath the waves of his black hair, the other snaking around her back to secure her torso at the shoulder. The order "Don't move" accompanied by the little shake of her body sent her heart into overdrive, adrenalin spiked blood coursing through her veins at an alarming speed. She wasn't being brought down off of a manic mimic this time so her ability to savor the foreplay, of his tongue tracing the path on her neck, was acute. By the time he gently secured his lips over her flesh her head was already spinning, and when finally he bit her body convulsed, a sharp intake of breath accompanied by the soft sound of "...AH!" Then everything was frozen in place by the fangs that pierced, and the sweet agony of the venom they brought.

As he drank, he held her so tightly to him that under normal circumstances she would have squeaked, but in this moment the physical claim that he lay to everything she was, felt wonderful. It was like a sense of security before eminent doom, everything he was turned her into willing prey, into someone posed in his arms, crushed against his body, and yet feeling like no embrace of his could be too strong. He stopped far sooner then she'd expected and certainly sooner then she craved, but she couldn't move yet to examine his face when he pulled his teeth from her and snarled. She could feel the vibration against her closely held chest, as it built within him and escaped his lips, and her gut clenched and twisted at the sound. Slowly the paralytic pleasure of his bite began to fade as it diluted in her system, and her whole body seem to wilt in his grasp, draped across his frame but unable to sit up yet and support herself.

From the hazy distant paradise that her mind had retreated to she felt his fingers on her skin, and then the strange and yet horribly familiar sensation of blood smeared across her face, tingling on her trembling lips.

"Oh God..."

She dragged up the strength and will to crane her head back ever so slightly from his chest, just far enough to peer up at his face in concern. It was extremely difficult to extract herself from the post bite daze, however as he began to shake beneath her and his eyes rolled back in his head, she had to wonder if he was capable of seizures. But... he was moaning, he collapsed back against the chair, and his breathing accelerated, closing his eyes and Shiara's mind raced. He eyes opened again gaze more wild and alien then she'd ever seen, and bent his head forward to lick her blood, tongue washing over the puncture holes which surprisingly began to close. She wasn't nearly as drained of blood or of energy as she could be, and she was intensely alert now, burning with curiosity to understand what was going on in his head. Fueled by her worries regarding the convulsions in his form and the look in his eyes, the skin he licked fizzed beneath the surface. And she was tuned into his broadcast, it didn't last long, she was tired and the contact had been to brief, but for a few seconds in time she witnessed the visions of blood and pain and pleasure that were racking his consciousness, all... of her.

She winced at the detail imagery of violent passions, but now caution rather then venom kept her frozen in place on his chest. Shiara wanted to move, to climb off his lap and put vital distance between them. Yet she knew that if she so much as twitched, it could trigger a reaction that she wouldn't like, if in this state of mind he felt his 'prey' trying to flee. She wished she had soothing words to calm him and distract him from the torrent of carnal desire that he was locked in, nothing came to her. Right now as waves of softly pulsing empathy began to flow off of her, replacing her own sense of desire and fear, she knew in her heart... that if it all proved to much for him... she'd be the last one to blame him.

The only thing she could think of as he teetered on the edge of a knife was this, 'Dr. Kane. Be strong.' She hoped futility that resorting back to the formality of his last name, combined with the fascinating choice of profession... she'd have to remember to ask him about that... Shiara hoped to help remind him of the 'persona' that he himself had deemed to uphold.

Contrary to popular belief Raziel did not flirt with anything and everything with two legs and breasts. In fact he never seemed to have much fun because it was always all work and no play. The one time he did allow himself to seriously let loose...he knocked up a damn Valkyrie demon. I couldn't think of the last person he flirted with save maybe Jenica. Positively perplexed by the human before him there were not too many people out there he could say he had ever wanted more. His carnal desire to want to consume her completely was probably the most gruesome compliment one could ever receive. He could make her a part of him completely...if he ate her.

As he sat there trying to regain himself, the thoughts battling in his head for domination and control was almost painful. His body shook because of the humane raziels ability to hold himself back, the evidence of his willpower. Suddenly he did what I am sure some would think unthinkable. His hand shot out and he pushed Shiara right off of his lap. Her body would slide off and hit the deck. His form jolted up out of his seat and before you knew it ... he was perched, delicately balanced on the back of the chair. His mannerism seemed more alien like and less human as he looked at her. His face a mix of curiosity and contempt for making him break his own personal moral code. He pushed off the back of his chair and seemed to float back vertically, the sound of the wind flapping through what loose fabric there was of his gunmetal grey dress shirt. Landing to his feet, one hand in his pocket, his hair was the last to float back down into place around him. It would come to rest delicately like a falling leaf that finally meets the ground in a single tender kiss. Blue eye's were the only thing more distinct that the rest of him in the semi darkness, the moon the only light of salvation from what could await in the recesses. Glowing with the hum of a dull pulse he stared at Shiara from a short distance. What was he thinking? Was he setting up for something more sinister? Was he trying to figure her out? None of it could be read and this uncertainty would give off that distinct feeling of fear. The simple fact that this moment brought an epiphany thought to mind, that you didn't really know the being before you despite all that you thought you felt, was profoundly unsettling. It was the intended vibe he was giving off as he stared at her. He wanted her to be a little afraid of him in this moment because...he was afraid of himself in this moment! He had heard her thoughts of 'Dr. Kane be strong', it was what had caused him to err on the side of caution and make the right choice.

Never before in his past did he ever have to make such a conscious effort, to struggle between what he wanted and a moral decision. In the past he could always give into his temptations. He did it with Casandra and Mae and countless others but this time, this time Shiara was still technically his patient. She was human. She was still quite young. Despite being around for about 18-20 human years, Raziel didn't age quite the same way. He was older than that. Not that age mattered to his species. He tore his eye's off of Shiara and turned his body away from her and walked to the sided of the ship, hands to the rail. He titled his head up towards the moon and closed his eye's. He let the light of the moon bathe over him, recharge him, settle his inner temperment as he seemed to meditate for inner peace.

Draven Malaki
Everyday Something Hits Me All So Cold, Find Myself Sitting By Myself, No Excuses That I Know

Got My Land Legs Under Me Now

Her dreams unsettled her.
Mika's voice screaming I told you so's and other nasty things rang out. Her mother's floated in her vision, sad. She had wanted to asked her mom what was wrong. Why did she seem so sad.
She didnt get the chance before she heard her phone go off, jerking her out of her sleep.
She had jumped awake, sitting straight up. Heidens shirt hanging off on her shoulders.
She rubbed the sleep from her eyes, before stumbling out of bed and making her way to her bag.
Flipping the top to her bag open she stuck her hand in and went to digging.
It always amazed her just how much junk a purse could accumulate. Maybe that was why Damien never wanted to touch her mothers purse. He was afraid he was gonna get bit or something.

Running a hand through her wild hair she flipped her phone open, studying the message.
Mika...
Look we need to talk soon. Im not mad anymore Draven, Im worried for you. This isn't like you. When you can text me back with a location I can meet you at. <3Mika.

She rubbed her eyes again re reading the message before shutting her phone.
Worried for her? No need to be worried for her. She was fine.
she padded into the kitchen and went digging around the cabinets looking for coffee.
Finally finding it, she went to his coffee maker, pulling down the filters and filling the machine up.
Getting water she set the machine on, and went looking for cups.
She normally never ate breakfast and she didnt know if e did, so instead of making a meal that could possibly go to waste, she made coffee.
Her body needed the caffeine anyways.

She sat at the table, waiting for the coffee to finish, flipping her phone open again.
Leaning her head in her hand she re read the message for a third time.
It bothered her to think he was worried about her. And Its not like she just dropped this out of the blue on him. She had brought the subject up over the years a lot. He hadnt seemed to mind then.
She scratched her head yawning more as she stretched, leaning back in her chair, looking at her phone lost in thought.

The beep of the coffee machine as it went off, pulled her back and she went and poured the black liquid into two cups. Her face in a soft smile smelling the delicious scent. She didnt know how Heiden took his, but she drank hers black. She figured she would at least add a little sugar to sweeten the bitter drink for him.
Going to the room with the mugs she set hers on the small table next to the side of the bed she was sleeping on and climbed up with his, kneeling on her knees, she poked his side gently. All she got was a snore. She giggled slightly, biting her lip.
"Hey sleepy head...wake up!" she said poking his side more.

Taking the two mugs she padded back to his room

Shiara landed on the deck in a disgraceful pile, she had been so slumped against him that she didn't respond at all elegantly to being shoved. A look of understandable shock crossed her features but since she had just gotten done, wishing that she could get some space, and being too afraid to take it... Well she wasn't about to pout, or yell 'how dare you' or some equally trite stupidity. She got her arms under her and pushed shakily until she could rest her back against the big stone brazier that housed the pit fire. She was sitting there propped up against a massive flame, and yet the sight she observed as he moved and retreated from her... sent shivers down her spine. Her whole body felt cold as the aura he deliberately exuded made her feel sluggish and frozen in place with great unease. His eyes glowed in the dark and though he stood in moonlight his features seemed lost in shadow. When he turned his gaze away from her, she took a shaky ragged breath and reached one hand for the blanket she'd left on her chair. She did not take her eyes off of his distant form, but she wrapped the blanket around her as she stayed huddled on the ground, desperate to warm up before her teeth could start chattering.

Shiara wondered idly if he was mad at her... it was the human thing for a young girl to do... but when her heart tried to get all fluttery and ask him about it she pressed her lips into a tightly shut line. Her brow furrowed in lines of thought as she recapped what she'd felt and observed just now. She was fairly certain she understood what had gone down, and it had nothing to do with her... well it did... it all had to do with her, the images in his head during that brief moment of mimicry, she shuttered and winced again at the thought. But that wasn't the point, she was the object of temptation, but the distance between them wasn't about her appeal... it was about his desire. It was a finite distinction to be sure, but the view point mattered in this instance.

After about 10 full minutes of silent darkness with nothing but the sound of her own breathing and the distance lap of waves against the side of the moored ship, Shiara spoke. Her tone was very very carefully constructed, she wanted to make sure that she didn't come off terrified, or judgmental. She was trying to go for matter-of-fact, with an undercurrent of concern and compassion. However she actually sounded, the words that spanned the gap between them in the night were, "Raziel. I think it might be a very bad idea for me to move in with you. Would you... disagree?"

He scoffed at the alien male following it up with a shake of his head. "Not in this world, you won't make it without owning something of material value. People view your life by what you have or done when you die. Least thats how I been raised." Sandel paused for a second to collect his thoughts before responding once more. "Eh, that lasts forever here......people don't eat it. We'd break our teeth, not to mention depreciate the value of it as well. Because it isn't candy over here." He looked at Leon's mouth, trying to see exactly what kind of teeth a person would have to have in order to eat something that was so solid." Besides, what exactly does it taste like?" Offering a quizzical look, "Does it turn to jello in your mouth, or does it stay solid, like it was crunchy? Does it taste like......the fruit associated with it's color?"

He had slept at the bar that night, mostly because he didn’t bother to find a room to sleep in. He thought he would’ve been a burden otherwise. HE also didn’t pay for a room so he thought I’d be rude otherwise if he just waltz into a room and slept there. Leon heard a grumbling sound, which was coming from his stomach. He wasn’t surprised, he hadn’t eaten in a while. The only thing he remembered eaten was the Emerald, which he gave to the Bartender.

Strange that she wanted something so worthless, but who was he to judge worth? He sighed and lifted himself out of his seat. He would then proceed to lift his arms up and stretch. Something he hadn’t done in a while since he left for The Library of Wonders. A Great Journey that minus the healing of his arm, just ended badly for most of the parties involved. Not that he knew where said party was anymore.

Onyx had just finished the finishing touches on her outfit for the evening, a pair of lovely onyx and diamond earrings. Her fingers lightly touched the detailing of her necklace as her eye's scanned down the front of herself in the mirror. Slowly her hands flittered down and away from her chest as she stared at herself in Heidens guilded mirror. This was it...Heiden was graduating from university...she had planned on this day a lot later in life. Heiden wanted though, deeply depressed with life, a highly intelligent young man trapped in such a small body. If Onyx set aside her own feelings she could sympathize and understand, could recognize that it was really the best thing to do. She shed a tear mentally chastising herself.
'Onyx...don't cry you'll ruin your makeup...I wish...I wish Soverus could be here to see his son, this moment.' her eye's faltered to her feet...nice shoes! She needed to be happy this day, for her son. She knew he was just so happy and she wanted her son to not feel a shred of guilt for his decision to better himself. After all, after tonight...he was coming home for good. Picking up her cell phone she hit Heidens number. After a few rings she heard a groggy "hello?" on the receiving end.

"Heiden...your not still in bed are you? Don't you have a graduation to be preparing for?"
"Oh s**t!" you could hear the panic in his voice.
Onyx sighed happily shaking her head "You really are like your mother...but not today! I am well prepared a head of schedule." she said proudly.
"Alright alright, don't rub it in. I'm up...where would I be without you mom." it was a rhetorical question. You could hear the smile behind his words.
"I love you Heiden. We will see you soon. Kisses and hugs."
"-chuckle- I love you too"

The phone conversation ended and Onyx tucked her phone away into her purse. Onyx grabbed her tube of red lipstick and put the finishing touches on her face. She then made her way to the bar where she sat down upon the couch. She would enjoy herself a cup of tea before departure.

Lucifire Mercii
Is There Any Point In Trying To Change? No Matter What I Do, It Always Stays The Same

Lucifire emerged from her room, fully rested and energized, back to her normal happy self.
She walked through the hallways, her heavy skirts in her hands as she walked.
She would need to find Draven soon. At least before she departed back to Neesa and Damien. She ran a hand through her blonde hair as she entered the bar area, looking around and spotting Onyx. She grinned walking up to her.
"Onyx!" she said happily, a bright smile on her face, green eyes twinkling.
She gave the woman a tight hug before taking a seat herself.
"You look wonderful tonight, Whats the occasion?" she asked he tilting her head to the side.

When she spoke...his eye's flicked open...his head titled back and he...laughed. He laughed in a deep sort of sinister way. He turned finally to look at her.
"Perhaps you think that I cannot control myself...perhaps you are right. You are a patient at the moment and it is unprofessional of me. I think it's best you stay here too." he said.
Raziel looked away back to the waters he gave a snort of laugh...he was being a fool. He needed to get his head right. He decided then that he needed to keep himself in check and be the professional that he was. He would walk over to her and grab her by her arm and haul her to her feet. He set her blanket right over his shoulders.
"We've had a little fun, now we get to work starting tomorrow. Your in no state to begin the rigorous work now." his demeanor had changed. He seemed more of the instructor, teacher student than anything in this moment. He looked around ... and then back to her.
"I think I am going to go enjoy myself in the hot tub for a bit. I have some business to attend later. Your free to do whatever it is you want." he told her.

{James Gamoden Location : Asper Deck -> Bar}

It had been a long time since the residents of the Asper may have seen the former lieutenant of the ship. Not that he had gone away, simply that he typically got up and left well before anyone else and came back fairly late. The corsair had been busy, much as Onyx had been spending as much of his time and his energy working on repairing the town. It was his way of redemption, his way of making up for his mistake. He had long since gotten used to the fact that it hadn't been entirely his fault. However, that didn't mean he wasn't going to take responsibility for it, and the people of the town accepted his help willingly. He couldn't help but wonder if that would still be the case if they had known that he was the one who had brought Luzaf to the port to begin with.

Regardless, he wouldn't let the thought bother him as he made his way up the ramp that led to the deck of the Asper. He was running later than he would have liked and he knew it. He didn't have a great deal of time to get ready, so he hurried down the stairs from the deck that led into the bar. He looked around the bar and smiled as he saw Onyx sitting on the couch with another woman. It had been so long since he had been aboard the Asper during the times people were actually active he didn't recognize the person.

"Hello dear, you look beautiful. Sorry I'm late. Today's project took a bit longer than I expected," he stated to Onyx as he made his way towards his quarters. "I'll be back as soon as I get ready."

Leon would lift his eyes at the female who had just walked in. Onyx he heard the female call her, he remember Onyx calling herself that. However, he was never good with names and tended to forget them a lot. Even his own earthling name he tended to forget. To do so would not be good, for to pronounce his name he would need to speak in his native tonque something that normal humans and very few demons could hear.

“I have to agree with the Miss here, you’re looking rather sweel if that’s what you earthlings call it…” He said. He scratched the stubble under his chin and softly smiled. “So what’s the occasion?” He sat back down in his seat and held his hand up, summoning his guitar with a cackle of electricity. He began playing it a lot more here, which gave him the strange ability to pick up money from strangers. He tried to tell them not to, but they always insisted, maybe it’s just how human takes rituals like this.

She wasn't sure what she felt about his word and gestures, but he was calmer, he was smiling, and he had laughed, she'd take it... "We've had a little fun..." When she thought about the way he'd surmised the whole tense mess she cracked a grin of her own, it sounded like the 'him' she was used to. She mouthed the phrase 'rigorous work' and gave a traditional eye-roll in anticipatory delight. With an, "Alright then." Alright what... she gave him a little wave and made for the stairs clutching her blanket.

Back in her room she sank into the chair and gave over to more trembling, she still felt cold. She hadn't realized exactly how menacing and dangerous he'd come across as, while she was out there, with him... trying to be brave. But the strength of his... his true self she supposed... the strength of his hungers was frightful. Shiara stood up suddenly with a look of sheer determination on her face and flung the blanket on the bed. She yanked open the doors on the wardrobe and pulled out one of the bikinis she herself had selected at the store the other night and grabbing a towel headed back up to the deck. As she moved closer and closer to the stairs she hesitated, What if he'd really rather not have you around right now? She paused clutching the terrycloth to her chest as another shiver racked her frame. Then he can leave, or ask me to leave. She opened the door to the deck and stepped outside again. Shiara needed to interact with him... normally... with him... behaving himself. If she ran away and held up in her room right now, she'd keep replaying events in her mind, and she might become truly afraid and nervous around him. She didn't want that she didn't want to lose the easy source of comfort that he had become to her, not right before she was supposed to developing her mimicry. She felt a little guilty and selfish, it wasn't kind of her to push her company on him like this when he'd had such a strong reaction to her... but she wanted to relax with him.

Letting out a sigh she moved speedily across the deck, the cool breeze and her bare feet on the wood, making the wisps of steam rising from the hot tub look irresistible. She dropped her towel to the side of the hot water and climbed in as far away from Raziel as she could manage. Looking over at him she said, voice as bright and casual as she could make it, "My muscles are aching and stiff right now and I can't seem to get warm. I think a soak sounds like a great idea." If all she needed was hot water then why not take a shower, if she was so cold why not go sit in the sauna. Well the answer was pretty basic actually, even after such an intense and unsettling exchange, she still craved his company... she was hopeless. He'd said she was free to whatever she wanted right now, she was going to find out if he'd really meant that. Relaxing in the jet bubbles until only her head was above the surface she let out a quiet hum of pleasure, it really did feel great. Tilting her head to the side and staring at Raziel she spoke again and asked the most recent question to have crossed her mind. "Why are you a Doctor?"

Location: Asper ~ Bar > Outfit: ensemble

Onyx would see Lucii arrive and Leon was there too, both had inquire about her whereabouts for the evening. She smiled to both of them "Thank you muchly. Tonight is Heidens graduation. It is taking place in Gaia actually. They've move the location so that way more friends and family could enjoy the celebration without having to worry about the time effects of the elven plane." she told them.
"Lucii you should come along. I know it would mean a lot to Heiden if you did. What with your connections to ..." she looked away. It was a hard time for her right now what with the mix of happy/sad emotion.

Looking back at Lucii she smiled regardless "You still have time to get ready." she nodded softly.

The doors to the bar opened and in walked James. His face brought a sense of comfort to her he alone had stood onyx's test and passed with flying colors. He could walk death with her. He was a dark elf and while if she had the choice she might have wanted to pick a different species of elf, he was the exception. She had known him back when he had been human and she knew his spirit and the kind of person he truly was. He had fought really hard to maintain that aspect of himself with fairly good odds. Yes, he thought he had been running late but not really not what with Heiden just pulling out of bed. Then again the time was different between here and there. It was night here, the moon already out. There it was morning and there was a lot of prepping to do on Heidens behalf. Still, that man was beautiful to her, through and through. She had said it many times before she couldn't have chose anyone more suitable. She recognized that in some aspects he was even more compatible than Soverus had been. As he passed he had complimented her and gave reason.
"Thank you love. No worries there isn't a huge rush really we still have a bit of time." he would have more than enough time still to shower, change, eat, have a beer, before they would have to go. She watched him off before turning her eye's back to the others.
