Roy's mind quickly came back to the battlefield. He also mixed up Kora and Sabriel Kora wasn't present for his death, it was Sabriel. It was a miracle Roy was brought back. Roy hadn't seen Sabriel in such a long time he almost forgot about her. The young lad was still grateful of Kora's masterful training sessions. Together, her and her husband helped shape Roy into a greater fighter like his father.. Roy then heard the chattering of Kora's imp.
Good, he thought readying up. Inferno however was also ready as his intense temperatures were yet again beginning to soar.
It was time for action. Roy leaped forward stealing Inferno's attention from Miyon with blinding speed. A gust of wind traveling behind leaving both embers and ice particles. The Fire Lord would not be so easily bested. Roy reappeared directly in front of Inferno, yet again harnessing his intense temperatures, yet Inferno didn't move. An inexperience opponent would have the arrogance to believe they were faster than the fire demon's eyes but Roy knew otherwise. Inferno didn't watch the battlefield with his eyes, he did so through energy sensory outputs. On a light step, Roy quickly move to the left of Inferno stealing his gaze away from Miyon.
Even without lava and such, Inferno was still highly dangerous. The boy's hand slammed onto Inferno's wrist. The instant gust blowing away what remains of the demon's cloak. The moment Roy's hand touched Inferno, a flash freeze ability could be seen. As quickly as Inferno's arm was covered in ice, the arm swung up revealing his arm to be completely free. Melted ice was now boiling water flying off his hand in perfect picture moment of beauty as each droplet reflected the sun's light. Roy seemed to be distracted by this but Inferno's arm wasn't raising up for nothing or throwing off the ice, it was a counter attack.
A large piller of compressed earth materials speared Roy's body and impaled him off his feet. To Kora, that was it. Roy met his fateful end yet again. To Oni, he had trained the boy in Inferno's fighting style having years of practice with the Prize Fighter himself. Roy shattered, revealing ice particles that harden like diamonds to reflect the sun's light and make a moving reflection of himself. A truly remarkable technique similar to Inferno's outdated lava fixture.
With that, Inferno was left open for Miyon to stab the demon. The instant the imp did, rays of molten heat sprayed out like lasers, cutting into Miyon's torso. It was doubtful that Miyon would be able to claim it's reward. The effects of whatever was in that syringe indeed acted instantaneous however Kora would noticed that Inferno wasn't calming down in the slightest. His body was burning through the sedative quicker than it could travel through his body. Inferno was then distracted by Oni, who spoke of Rosewood. That stupid Dragon Lord Oni somehow made a good point. Had Inferno forgot what actually happened? Before he could revisit memery lane....
Enter Roy again, reappearing off a quick slide and yet again grabbing Inferno's arm to flash freeze it. This time was different, Roy stayed and with his other hand smacked his father's defense arm away to expose a chest and face. Roy's body tossed it's self in motion with him landing in a hand spring formation sending both of his feet up to slam into Inferno's face and launching him into the air. A feat that was though to be impossible. Off impact, Roy's sprouted dragon wings and used his fire based abilities to launch himself upwards to grab Inferno and take him sky bound. Oni, Arc, Lucas, Lanarkin, Kikyo, Raphael, Morik, Takehitsu, Kite, Krestal, David, Aurora and many more infamous warriors had never achieved such a task. Inferno was off the ground!
Roy had taken full advantage of Inferno having no lava and leaving himself open after the push barrier. Speaking of, Roy remembered the cool down. He had only seconds before Inferno would be able to use it again. Especially since all of these elemental energies were being absorbed to activate the barrier. He had to finish this!
With a thunderous boom, Roy took to the skies with his father using an ability Inferno wasn't capable of, flight. At this point, Inferno was wishing he had asked for Takehitsu help after all. The fire demon wasn't ready to take on 2 no 3 people at once. Especially one who seemed to know everything and anything he was capable of. This rematch was not going in his favor.
A count down timer popped up in Roy's mind as he approached an incredible altitude of nearly 40,000 feet off the ground. To the others, a tiny light source due to Inferno's flames which struggled to not only keep him at a certain temperature but stay lit in general. Roy released Inferno now, preparing himself to unleash his newest finisher. His father could only watch in horror.
"The sun worshipers feared your wrath when you decided to leave us after Rosewood. They said you had merged with the sun and had the power to melt the vary Earth. Your generosity brought them day light and the warmth to survive the cold winters. Ironic that here, so close to the sun... you are powerless. Father, please allow me to show you the Sun's true power!"
Roy wasn't just taking Inferno off the ground, he was strongest in the air! Opposite of Inferno. The sun's energy radiated around Roy, gathering a power that Inferno only thought he was capable of. From below, the rest would see Roy as a mini sun over looking a tiny black dot that would be the Prize Fighter.
3 seconds... Roy thought...
Suddenly, another flash. Through the blinding light, the shadow of Roy divebombed forward with such haste.
2 seconds...
He hit Inferno directly while taking hold of the fire demon.
1 more second...
Inferno still noticed the mini sun above him, which clearly charged his own abilities. This would throw off Roy's inner countdown by a little bit. The boy was clever, that much was a given but he underestimated how quickly Inferno was able to gather resources. The moment Roy clashed with Inferno, Roy's body was hit with an outrageous amount of force. The Barrier had activated! Suddenly, Roy shattered again! Inferno's eyes widen...
"Impossible"
"Thought I was off? I knew you were readying up another Push Barrier. Father, answer me. Who is stronger between you and Oni? I think this will determine it. Oni manage to survive this. Infact, he helped perfect it... I'm curious of the effect it will have on you..." said Roy looking confident.
"Skyline Howitzer..." said Roy, just loud enough for Inferno to barely hear him.
With that, Roy slammed into Inferno while dragon scales appeared throughout his entire body. His wings now pulled back behind him, while all of the sun's energy now fused with him. From above, the two of them looked like a giant meteor with falling stars around them. Another thunderous boom as the two broke through the lower skyline with Roy using one of his arms to ignite like a jet engine, forcing them into a corkscrew motion. The heat of course wouldn't bother Inferno, however he won't be able to use since the hand that was holding Inferno was constantly on repeat with flash freezes and even ciphering Inferno's body temperature to keep it in flux.
By the time they were fully visible, Roy was now in his dragon armor form. This added a lot of weight as he jetted with every once of force he could muster. Roy wasn't aiming at where he took off though. He was considerate. He was taking Inferno outside of the area where everyone else was. The meteor that was them, pass over everyone at such a ridiculous speed, that it carried with it a massive breeze that blew over the entire area. Over the tree line, they could see where Roy and Inferno would land. An massive explosion followed up with a nasty shook wave that rippled across the entire area and leveled everything around their impact zone.
When the smoke cleared Inferno was out cold, resting in a crater that was bigger than a football field. His body was completely dark grey, with red/orangish cracks traveling completely around his entire body like a 3 year old tried to draw a roadmap. Steam was running off of him. Roy was standing over him. His body reverting back to it's normal self. He had finally done the unthinkable and not only defeated his father but proved he was now stronger.
Inferno's eyes struggled to open. As they did, the first thing he saw was Roy overlooking him. A lot was going through Inferno's head right now.
"I lost? How could I allow this to happen? Beaten by a mere boy.... Finish me..." coughed Inferno.
Roy paused for a second before reaching out his hand towards his father.
"No, you lost to someone better old man. You know, Oni and Kora looked over me after Rosewood. They said you lost your s**t when I died. You should thank them. I finally set out to do what you wanted me to... I become stronger."
"How?"[/b' asked Inferno.
"Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect, It means you decided to look beyond the imperfections." said Roy.
A liquid fire tear crawled out of Inferno's eye. His Wife's words. The only person capable of getting close to Inferno, Maya. Roy had never seen his father shed a tear nor did he think it was possible. With that, Roy finally blasted Inferno with his own flame attack. To anyone else, they'd think he was finishing his father off once and for all but that wasn't Roy. Unlike his father, he had his mother's heart and that heart was of love and mercy. The same mercy Maya gave Inferno when she found him barely alive after fighting with the archangel Aurora. This is how Maya and him first met. Roy looked so much like her. Inferno had finally become proud of his son.
Once Inferno was rightfully back on his feet. His mask and cloak were re-summoned to help contained his intense temperatures. A smile lined Roy's face, finally gaining his father's acceptance but that would be rudely interrupted as Inferno socked him right in the kisser. Roy lost balance in his footing, tumbling a bit and nearly falling over.
"NEXT TIME!! FIGHT ME ONE ON ONE ICEYHOT!!! See how you fair then hot shot!" yelled Inferno.
Before Roy showed up, Inferno had fought Drake. Then Roy had assistance from Kora and Oni's distraction. Roy acted a bit nervous throwing his arm back over his head and letting out a sigh. Somethings never change. Today, change was for the better. The Salazar family had been reunited.
